“I was craving some good chicken tenders and coleslaw. I remembered seeing this place and wanted to try it out. 10/10 in my opinion. The chicken tenders are so tasty and the sauces are all great. We tried bbq sauce, honey mustard and ranch. We also had the fries which were amazing! We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu and to try some of the custard. The price for 7 tenders, regular fry, coleslaw and 2 extra sauces came out to a little over 20 bucks.”

“Saw this on doordash and decided to give it a try. So glad I did. It was delicious. We got an assorted dozen plus 3 dessert bites (I wanted to try as many different options as possible). I was afraid the cheese ones might be too plain, but they weren't, they were absolutely perfect. Some of the meat ones reminded me of empanadas. The flavors were amazing, I can't wait to eat there again!”

But since we were in the area I figured I’d take the family. We all not only loved our food but the service was outstanding. My husband came by Don Joaquin's a few days ago and couldn't stop raving about it so I decided to join him there for lunch today.... let me tell you that I am so glad that I did! The restaurant is spacious, clean and they have some freezers with Popsicles, paletas and ice cream bars and fried doraditos by the ordering station. Menu is simple but sometimes that all you need right? I got the gringa combo, which has 3 tacos (al pastor, chicken and asada) with a drink and my husband got an asada burrito with a side of rice. I also got a slice of strawberry tres leches cake which was stellar! Every single bite was lovely; everything was flavored so well and was fresh! Definitely recommend if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!”

“We were welcomed in even though it was getting late. We enjoyed talking with Lisa and whikecwe waited for our to go order of pork tacos, mango and black bean salad and sweet potato fries. We took it all home and split it but could easily have fed three. Tgevpork chunksvin thextqcis were absolutely the most tender and perfectly seasoned pork imaginable. The fries were hot and had a nice crunch and the salad was fresh and generous with a wonderful dressing. Very reasonable prices for such generous portions.”

“I have never been a fan of chain Chinese food places like Panda Express. I’ve eaten at whistle wok since I was little, I remember they used to have a model train that would run around the whole dining area along the top of the room. Whistle wok was my parent’s favorite Chinese food place to eat growing up and that has carried into my adult life as well. My boyfriend has never been a huge fan of Chinese food In general until I brought him to whistle wok, it’s quickly become a favorite we crave regularly. All of the food has such delicious sauce that makes it so good. I come back over and over. Everyone is so friendly, I am always welcomed when I walk in. Very affordable prices for individual meals or for larger groups as well. Lots of options of different proteins, spicy options as well for people who prefer. I highly recommend a side or two of wontons with your meal. Anytime I try other Asian food places I always compare to whistle wok. They will always be #1”

This last time I ordered it spicy (5/5 on the spice scale). It was the perfect amount of flavor and heat.

The chicken (we tried both nuggets and tenders) was delicious— high quality chicken with a good texture to the breading. The fries were excellent, we really enjoyed them! The sauces complimented everything quite well, bringing out the best in each dish. I’ve got to say that they come with the gluten-free price tag, but that’s more a statement about the industry than this particular restaurant. We’ll be coming back here for sure, it’s kid and parent approved!”

“Son and I were in the mood for arepas and so when we spotted Chamos, we had to stop.

Space is small, just a few tables. We were able to grab a table surrounded by Venezuelan families who were clearly happy to ge getting a taste of home.

We had the two arepa plate, chicken and pork, and shared a beef empanada. The arepas are enough for two people to share. Both were delicious. Chicken was tender and juicy on its own. The accompanying sauces on both were tangy. The empanada was stuffed with beef and it was bursting in flavor.

Service was fine, nothing extraordinary. Table could have used a good wipe down if I’m honest, as it felt a bit sticky.

This is a good place for a taste of Venezuela.”
