“Stumbled upon Wildfin while at the mall and really enjoyed our dinner there! We had the early bird dinner combo which for $33 was a great deal. Food quality was top notch and the portions were generous too. Mateo was our server and he was very helpful and courteous! We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh breeze with our dinner. I’m sure we will be back next we are in the area :)“

“The food is delicious! The food is clean and simple. Pick a protein (meat or vegetarian options) and two sides. They have mashed potatoes, sweet potato hash, bread sticks and hummus, cauliflower, and much more. The restaurant itself is a bit cramped, especially when they are busy, but you can get your meal to go.“

“Very nice and quaint. I love German food, but some of the dishes had a bit of a twist to them. It was a lot of food and the price was a bit steep. The beers were spot on I just wasn't used to German pasta salad warm and with ground beef in it along with the leek and potato soup. It was served hot as it should have been, but adding ground beef to the soup for me was weird.Parking: Only a few places out front to park and the small parking lot adjacent also have a business that's posted. Very tight.“

“I just got takeout at the Layton Hugs and my experience was great. I got the Chicken Cranpeno sandwich, which was really good, but the service was amazing. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. “All of the employees are friendly and have such warm smiles. The food was amazing. I ordered the Denver omelet with fresh jalapeños and Cajun fries that had a light spiciness to them. Lastly, the scone was fuffy and crispy served with cinnamon butter or honey butter. Absolutely worth visiting again and definitely appreciate that they offer a rewards program.“

“So great! The diner has a spacious area but old diner decor. They didn't got overboard with it and it's pretty average after that. Mostly Booths and some tables.Staff was great and very friendly. They helped us with any questions we had about the food.I asked for crispy Hash browns and they were ACTUALLY CRISPY!! So yummy ?The chicken fried steak was made with a different batter and was so delicious. From the first bite to the last, it was so good every bite.Their scones and honey butter are legit as well! So good!“

“I used to go to the Ogden location and haven't been to the Layton spot for quite some time. A group of friends (6) and I had reservations at 7 and they got us right in. Our server was awesome, a cute Japanese lady, who had a strong accent, wrote down the specials and would show us them on paper as she described them. She was so fun with a great attitude, she would kind of sing back our orders as we gave them to her. I commented on how much I liked this and so she sang just about everything after that. She was great, wish I'd caught her name. We ordered three appetizers to start and they were all very good. The deep fried cheese curds with Louisiana and a mildly spicy fry sauce was excellent. Nachos with chili verde on top was very good and one of their specials, garlic, parmesan, wings, that were also very good. For entrees I ordered the Pesto penne pasta and added bacon and chicken. It was really quite good but may have been a little bland without the bacon, so I'm glad I added it. My wife ordered the raviolis and thought it was great. She thought hers was better than mine, and I thought mine was better than hers. This is a good thing as we were both satisfied and pleased with our orders. Sorry no pictures, but Roosters was a good choice on a Saturday evening with friends.“

“To my mind, this restaurant is a rare hidden jewel for South Davis county. Case in point, last night my family and I dined at Hug-Hes for my daughter’s birthday. Our waiter, Nicholas, excelled at keeping our table fed, watered and entertained. He possessed the demeanor and skills ALL waitstaff should possess. Also, the atmosphere was relaxing and in keeping with pleasant dining. We were actually able to carry on conversations without ever raising our voices. At this point, we checked off “great waitstaff”, “wonderful atmosphere” - we fully expected the food to be mediocre. We were wrong! The food was excellent!! Unfortunately, we missed out on the bread which we were truly bummed out about (sorry for throwing a bit of a fit, Nicholas! The bread is THAT good!).We will never hesitate to visit Hug-Hes again and I will happily repeat this review to anyone that asks me “Do you know a good place to eat?”“
