“I love this coffee shop! It’s my go to, whether I am just out and about early or grabbing a bite before I head out for a hike. The croissants are amazing, and the service is fast and friendly. I hope soon they go back to accepting travel cups, though, or at least get a new lid design for hot coffees — mine from this morning dripped all over me and nearly ruined a great outfit. I am still leaving five stars, and will go back, but wanted to put in my vote for a sustainable cup option.“

“Ok so lets talk about this fantastic little coffee shop for a minute. Hands down the best place to get some amazing hot/iced coffee! Food? Absolutely fire! So if your more of an outsider kinda person need that outside air with your coffee your covered! Need that quick to go order or just wanna chill inside either way they got your back! Take a look around inside while you wait for your grub, they've got some amazing art and homemade scarves for sale and so much more! The second best thing about this place they have an upstairs with comfy couches, chairs aaand if your a book worm you belong here! You can chill upstairs take your pick of any book you like sip on some coffee and get lost in fantasy fiction whatever you fancy. Oh and i can't leave out they have 2 awesome dart machines upstairs! They also have tournaments! Something to look into for you adamant dart players! Anyhow just a little scoop take it in and get you some bomb coffee! First time customer here and gained for life!“

“I love this place! I go there after hard work days and get the chicken salad sandwiches and wassail. It instantly brightens my day. They have a wide variety of teas, including herbal, and it’s a wonderful experience to share with friends. I go in groups often too and had my birthday party here.

“I went here for the first time the other day and their coffee and food were delicious. They offer three different roast levels for their beans. I tried their darker roast. It had such a yummy smoky flavor to it. I also got a breakfast burrito with sausage and avacado added. That was satisfying as well. Their prices were reasonable. This is a must try spot!“

“I live in Colorado and never heard of Alpha Coffee. I visited Salt Lake City, and friend recommended we meet at the downtown location. I ordered an "Aztec" and it was great. Something different, new and tasty for me. I liked the drink, the vibe and the servers ... the whole experience was great! I look forward to my next visit to SLC. I'll stop at Alpha again - to try the Poly! :)“

Every drink I've had has been great and while it is a little pricey, I understand and appreciate the quality ingredients being used (I watched as the local milk delivery happened and can see that they are supporting local businesses, which is great).

But the long waits in line are what have me hesitating a next visit. Every time I go, I wait at least 7-10 minutes just to place an order. Not because theres a long line, but because they have on person up front taking orders AND making drinks. And then it takes another 7-10 minutes to get my drink. Wish you would figure out your work flow a little better.“

“This shop is one of my favorite places to relax with a good coffee. The art displays (which are purchasable pieces from local artists) has a way of making you feel connected.

There's usually only one staff member, so sometimes you have to wait a bit for your coffee, but each cup is made with care and they have good options.

If you are looking for a chill break away from your troubles this is absolutely the place to get it.“

“MiaoMiao Cafe is such an amazing spot for cat lovers! 🐾 The space is super clean, cozy, and welcoming, and the owners are so kind and clearly care deeply for their cats. The café and cat house are in two connected houses (separate spaces), and you can bring your drink inside when you visit the cats. All of the cats were sweet, playful, and cuddly you can tell they’re well-loved. They even had kittens available when we went! Just a heads up: not everything on the food menu may be available, but honestly, the coffee and drinks are 10/10, and that alone made it worth it for us. We didn’t get to try the food this time, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun, relaxing, and heartwarming experience!“

Coffee I've had here has been good and has gotten the job done of keeping me awake. Service is alright.. some days its better than others just make sure to pay attention or stay close to the drop-off counter when its busy because 7/10 times they won't let you know when your coffee is ready.“

“I was passing through Salt Lake for a few days. Of the two coffee place I tried while here I loved this place way more. I tried the Chai Latte, Mexican Mocha, and a Vanilla Latte. They were all very well made and tasty.

This place also has a great vibe. There is this sticker machine upstairs. The machine only takes quarters so make sure to bring your change. I was too chicken to ask for change. So don’t forget quarters!

One more update the restroom has pads and tampons. I appreciate when places do this. It feels like they care in their customers. A small thing but it shows that they’re run by a human being.“

The girls who work there are super nice and seem like they all have a good passion for coffee and tea. The coffee has always been delicious. The espresso is bold yet super creamy. “We do not dine out often due to the poor food quality of many restaurants; however, when our friends found this organic, gluten-free diner, I was intrigued. The food was an absolute celebration of life. Delectable delights danced on an ambrosial causeway of artistic creation few eateries achieve. Our table ordered a variety of entrees and drinks. We started with complimentary chips, avocado and verde sauce. Very tasty. For the main course, I choose enchiladas and was curious about the horchata (rice milk soaked in cream with cinnamon), so I had this as well. Normally, I do not order specialty drinks, but their horchata was an exceptional experience as was the hand-squeezed limeade. I highly recommend both. Reading many of the other reviews that criticized the room temperature water, the service, and the ambiance, I must adamantly disagree. The best temperature for water when dining is room temperature. And their water is finely filtered and refreshing. The service may be perceived as slow, but I love being left to chat and laugh with my party. I relish this time. A meal out should be relaxing in a friendly, pleasant atmosphere without feeling rushed—and it was. The dining area is a little noisy, like most restaurants in this country. As an experienced sound engineer, I would recommend some sound absorbers blended into the corners, some appropriate picturesque art absorbers on the walls, and maybe a row of carpet down the main walkway to absorb sound and define the lovely wait staff’s path. The price: well worth it. You will not be disappointed. Spend without regret, and enjoy the articulation of tastes that shall frolic upon thy palate.
