“It was amazing. Simply amazing. Casual, not luxurious, but so cute. Small yet roomy. And clean. The pizza was incredible. I think they make their tomato sauce themselves. You know how at those fancy pizzerias the taste is good but when you fold the slice New York–style, the tip droops down because it’s soggy? This was nothing like that. It was a huge pizza, but the tip of the slice never drooped. Perfectly crispy.

They also give little packets of oregano and amazingly good chili flakes, which I thought was such a nice touch.

The interior is very charming. I just think the lemonade could have been a bit better. I hope the taste always stays this way.“

“The Sea Bass was a total suprise. More often than not I am dissapointed when I order fish. Not the case here. The presentation was superb. The blend of flavors, textures and colors was an epicurean delight. Our waiter/bartender Damany was thoughtful, always on point without being intrusive. The whole experience was one worth repeating.“

We were visiting DC, and the food was so good we came in a second night. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff and owner very professional and personable. Highly recommend.“

The kitchen is ready and willing to accommodate any food restrictions. The staff are friendly and happy to advise on choices. “Love this place! Dinner is always 10/10 but service, we had Alena or elena and she was just the sweetest young lady and she knows was shes doing, and she was honest too with her recommendations! We always have a tuna and oysters! Then steak this time we shared the cowboy ribeye and added scallops which by the way is not on the menu but elena said they could do it and it was delicious!! 5 star service“

Just go and you’ll experience the most wonderful home cooked food and the greatest ambience! .. staff and management couldn’t make you feel more welcome! For 1/2 chicken and Malanesa de polls we paid $32 (no drinks). They offered water cups and we took them. The white sauce is mayo like, the green is spicy (you have been warned). I would recommend to friends.“

I usually prefer a more spaced out seating arrangement but that’s my own personal opinion and it isn’t even possible because the place is small. “Overall great experience! Located blocks away from the riverfront, so perfect for lunch or dinner and a stroll around Old Town. Cozy restaurant with very friendly staff! Raj had some great recommendations for food and drink. Started with the Bollywood Old Fashioned. Loved it! Ordered the veggie samosas for appetizer. Fried perfectly! Crispy, not greasy and stuffed to the max with tasty filling. The chutney it came with was subtle, with a little sweetness and touch of spice. Ordered the garlic butter naan. It was good, thin and had good butter and garlic coverage. I prefer naan to be thicker and more doughy. This style of naan worked really well for the dessert chocolate naan with ice cream! Would order that every time! For main course, I tried the palak with tofu and bollywood special with shrimp at the restaurant. Both sauces were extremely tasty! The rice cooked perfectly. The serving sizes big enough to fill up but not so big where you couldn't finish. Good prices and I would say excellent value for what you get. The shrimp were big and juicy. The tofu soft and creamy. I wanted to try the spiciest dish on the menu and Raj asked me a few questions to learn if it was a good idea for me. I love spicy food and ended up ordering it to go and it did not disappoint. On a scale of 1-30, I ordered a 20 and it was spicy. Made my nose run and tongue burn, in the best way possible. Flavor was on point and spice level was good for the brave to try in the restaurant but better to take it home and have for lunch the next day. 10/10! Will come again!“

“Old Blue catered my daughters wedding. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. Old Blue has the best BBQ food in the greater DC area - so, that would be enough to recommend them - however, if you are planning an event, you will not believe the quality of the service they offer. Everyone was helpful, had great suggestions, they even shared decorations with us. The day of the wedding was also perfect - they were attentive and seemed to anticipate every need. Again, they would be worth it just for the food, but they perfect because of everything else.“

“Our first time here, we are astounded!! Kid got the bulgogi bowl and loved it. The charred cabbage was an amazing treat. I got the Sando and it is HUGE. House sauce was so good, you can definitely tell the coleslaw is homemade. Wife got the chicken wrap and the veggies were fresh with three huge tenders inside. Fries are basic frozen ones, but they are hot and crisp and way better cooked than most places. We ended up taking at least half of everything home! Place is super clean, staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed salt and BBQ sauce for the fries. We are most definitely coming back to try more!“
