“I enjoy Dave’s Hot Chicken.
Location is clean, bright and inviting. Staff is friendly, helpful and chill. I got the 18 pc today, never had it. It’s the saucy chicken. Flavors I got were: Mike’s Hot Honey, Spicy Buffalo and Spicy BBQ. The hot honey tasted abysmal, I didn’t like it whatsoever but since it’s part of my total order I covered it in sauce and ate it but I will never go for that again. Either change the recipe (suggestion) or remove it but everything else was tasty. I normally get other menu items but I generally recommend Dave’s“

“I came here today to try their new jerk chicken. The young man behind the counter was very nice and friendly.

I ordered the big platter with fries. Portions are very generous.

The jerk chicken is interesting. It’s sweet at first and then has a kick at the end. It’s good, the rice was delicious and so were the fries. Def worth it!

Also the guy at the counter was very nice and gave me 2 drinks on the house.“

“I drove by and saw a line so I looked it up and saw a 4.9 rating. The truth is this is a 5.0 and it didn’t disappoint. I had a jerk plate and a lamb pita. It was sooooooooooooooo good. I will definitely be back. I didn’t take a picture of the food because i ate it right away lol. The portion for the platter was so big my husband and I each ate some and then we shared the pita lamb. I ordered on line and it was so fast. Walked in and it was very clean. The team was friendly and I got my food right away.“

“During my weekend stay in Washington DC I was able to visit the New York Grill twice.

Both times the food was IMMACULATE! I highly recommend the Lamb Gyro, and the fries were very good too!

Even with roughly a 20 Minute walk back to my hotel, the food comes out hot, and well wrapped, allowing the heat to stay within and keep your food warm for quite a while!

Overall, this was my favorite place we ate over the course of 3 days, out of about a dozen spots.

I DEFINITELY Recommend the New York Grill! Please patronize this great establishment, hell go 3 times a day if your budget allows!

“I recently visited Flavor Hive while I was in Alexandria, Virginia, and I was genuinely impressed. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and the service was warm and welcoming. You can tell they really care about quality and customer experience.

After having such a great experience, I honestly wish they would open another branch in Bloomington–Normal, Illinois. That area would absolutely love this kind of vibrant, flavorful spot. It would be a huge hit with students, families, and food lovers there.

“We had never tried Afghani food before, and I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They recommended the Mini Taste of Arocostia for our first time. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was great! We never had to ask to have our beverages filled up, because they were already on top of it before we had to ask. They packed all our leftovers into boxes for us for our way home. We will definitely be going back!“

“This place is delicious. We only had a few days in DC, so we had to be selective where we ate. I don't think I've ever had straight Afgan food, but this place didn't disappoint. About 1/3 of their menu is vegan. They were very accommodating for vegan food, they made modifications even without asking.

If you are vegan, don't miss this gem if you are in DC.“

“Delicious smash burgers and shakes! Got the classic (as a lettuce wrap) and the jalepeno with oreo milkshake and cheese fries. The fries come unseasoned - but they have a seasoning station to add it yourself - always measure with your heart!
If you want the fries I recommend just getting the regular fries.“

“These are my Afghans so I don’t wanna ruin their reputation. But just giving my personal review. I have been to this restaurant 3-4 times now. Previous visits was good so kept coming. But my most recent visit they got one of the orders wrong so they had to send it back. Took too long. We almost cancel that one because everyone else was almost finished with their food and the food didn’t come almost 30-40 minutes. Also, this time I found a little bit of hair and I just wanted to inform them about it and they didn’t seem to apologize or offer a new plate or anything. They just said all of our people wear head coverings when I brought up that I found hair. From then on out, I lost my appetite. I usually order the ice cream as well, but my appetite was ruined.“

“My son and I stopped in while we were Christmas shopping and found the food EXCELLENT! My son ordered a combination of lamb and beef swcharma burrito, with Jalapeno hummus, onion, corn. lettuce, and mango salsa. The buritto was large enough for my son and I to share and the french fries were perfect.
The fries were hot with the perfect amount of salt and the Schwarma sauce was perfect for both the burrito and dipping the fries in. We will definately return if not to the Springfield Mall location (where we ate) we'll go to the location in Potomac Mills Mall. Again EXCELLANT and at a reasonble price.“

Stopped by last night and had a great experience. This is a family-run halal spot and you can really feel the hospitality when you walk in. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the service was great. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly.

If you’re looking for a solid halal chicken and burger spot with great customer service, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“This was my first experience with this type of food, and it was good! Very filling, the single protein platter was more than I could eat in one sitting, and I'm a rather large eater. I would go back. However, I would say The Halal Guys are comparable to the Little Ceasars or Domino's of their place in the industry. If you want to play it safe with a commercialized version of Halal food, then this is it. Please don't take that as a negative, Little Ceasars has its place in the market & it's time for when necessary, and so does The Halal Guys.“

“I came to Arlington for a business trip from Atlanta. I've been to the Ballston Food Court several times since I visit frequently. First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“

“Rania is a true culinary experience and one of the best meals I have had in DC. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu where there was a good variety of dishes to choose from for each course. Every single course was excellent especially the shrimp, lamb cheela, and beef short ribs nihari!
