“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

If you like tacos and burritos you definitely should check out this place. They also have a great selection for different kinds of drinks. “This family owned restaurant has amazing food. Beautifully plated and the flavors were unlike any Mexican restaurant I've been to and much to the better. The wait staff was that perfect combo of checking in on the table but not interrupting too often. The owner personally stopped by our table and was just a lovely person. “Everything about this place was A++. Not sure how this place has not come up for me or my husband before but came here Tuesday night and we’re officially deeming this our go to spot. Everything was delicious and legitimately the best Mexican restaurant in DC and the best Margaritas in town.
1. The fajitas (chorizo, chicken, steak) had amazing flavor including the side of refried beans, steak was tender, didn’t skimp you on the veggies.
2. The chicken tamales did not disappoint - you can tell they care about their masa, and the chicken inside was juicy, not dry like many places.
3. The frozen margaritas were freshly made it isn’t just a bunch of syrup. I actually wasn’t going to get one but Oscar put my concerns at ease and pointed out it was still happy hour.

“Hey, you guys I went here for my first time. I’m from LA. I’m used to Mexican food and not many places are out here but this one wild taco place with Greek catch my eye seen the pictures online and they look freaking good so I decided to go in And buy my surprise. There was only three people it was empty and the people were white, so I’m asking myself OK I wonder how this is gonna taste but the service was magnificent. Very nice. The lady explained to me the menu which was extremely helpful and nice and when I got my food, it was to go. I couldn’t wait. I ordered a Greek taco. Holy moly. I am in love this Greek taco the beef all the vegetables. Everything was just outstanding beautifully marinated meat and then I had a quesadilla holy moly it was a giant and very, very good a little bit greasy But other than that, they put a good portion of meat cheese total experience with this place one out of 10 I give it a solid nine and I don’t do that for anybody. This just surprise me who was cooking the food which was a young teenager that look like but wowthe ingredients in the food were fresh outstanding beautiful combination and good. Definitely will go back and try their burritos and other sorts of tacos it’s worth trying to come here folks very very good food two thumbs up. Great job you guys.“

“I went to District Taco at the recommendation of a friend, and it did not disappoint. The menu has a variety of options to choose from, and luckily one of the staff there, Eimy, was really helpful with recommending what's most popular, as well as what she's personally grown to love. I'd definitely say I left satisfied. The vibes were good my whole time there, and there was very little wait time. I'll be going back and sharing it with those I know. “Dining in DC, is paying for ambiance. Pascual was a wonderful ambiance in learning the finer elements of Mexican cuisine.

NO SALSA IN CHIPS

Guacamole was tasty but it wasn't until I built the perfect bite with the braised lamb neck did I appreciate the understatement of its balance. My friend very much enjoyed her Octopus, she got crispy she'll to accompany her dish.

The bunuelo was a nice finish, but there was the option of flan w/chocolate. The flan was good but had bitters from dark chocolate that gave the taste of espresso.

I would not dine here again personally, but it makes for a really nice backdrop of a lovely dinner.

Vegetarian options: Seafood allergy, a lot of possible cross contamination, limits your choices. However the choices are still very delicious.“

“The chicken mole California burrito was really really good - specifically the tortilla and the mole and beans. Everything tasted homemade and delicious. The carnitas super burrito was also really well made and the guacamole was good.

The cold brew was the best cold brew I’ve tried (I’ve had about 10) - it was really chocolatey and delicious.

The reasons for 4 stars is that I didn’t like how the portions were a bit small for the price. The chips and guac was $12 and seemed to involve about 1 or 2 avocados.

The burritos were filling - appreciated and needed the salsa verde that came with them! But still a bit pricy.

These views might also be influenced by the fact I felt pressured by the card machine at the register to tip more than 20% before the food came. The first screen that pops up when paying has only 3 suggested tips: 25, 22, and 20% - the highest I’ve seen on one of these apps. In total it came to $63 for 2 burritos, 1 chips and guac, and 2 cold brew coffees including tip which feels very expensive. We also were accosted by wasps on the patio that tried to get into our food, so that’s a reason for the 4 star atmosphere.

Nevertheless I would recommend this place - if you’re not worried about the price and savvy enough to tip appropriately/not accidentally.

“I went to La Posada for brunch shortly after it opened (and after a long week), and it was FANTASTIC. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had an incredible meal, and it just was everything I could have wanted - I definitely plan to go back!

But, in the meantime, I did pick up some takeout for dinner one night, which was an excellent decision. The queso and chips were great, but the flautas were just perfection.“

“This place is kind of small hole in the wall. Seats about 14 or so outside and not many more people inside. Nice menu that's not too large or too small. Some Tex-Mex menus have way too many choices. The starter tortilla chips and salsa were top notch. Service all around was excellent. I had the Chicken Chimichanga and it was one of the best I've ever had. It came with rice and refried beans as well as pico, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. The presentation was great as well Can't wait to come back.“

“Was hankering for some tacos one afternoon and was driving through North Arlington and remembered district taco right on Lee Highway. I stopped in and I had a couple à la carte tacos and being a vegetarian it was exciting to see they had a plant-based meat substitute on their menu. so I ordered two Itza tacos prepared the way I like them on corn tortillas and I have to say they were some of the best tacos I have ever had, bar, none. Just for reference, I eat a lot of tacos so I would know a great taco, and those were spectacular. Thank you district taco for offering a vegetarian option and for preparing such an amazing taco. “This has been our go to spot since we’ve moved here, when we have family visit we always make sure to bring them here and everyone has loved the food! Service has always been great until our most recent visit, our server gave my spouse an incredibly disgusted look when he ordered his tacos with shredded cheese on them (I know I know it’s not traditional) I was waiting for the server to make a joke about it like most do but instead my spouse received the rudest facial expression. Again, we love the food and have never had any negative experience before but that really rubbed me the wrong way.“
