“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! Go now!“

“Excellent I’m a known chef visiting VCU in Richmond, Virginia and saw there were great Chinese places. Since 1981 I’ve loved however not found many legit shredded pork in garlic sauce dishes. They nailed it, this classic Sichuan dish . When she placed on the table I had flash backs to Houston Texas the last time I actually ordered the dish as every place did it no justice. If you’ve never tried its spicy, salty, little acidic. Steamed rice has to be and was perfect. I started with a great hot and sour soup and then the green onion pancake. The pancake golden brown, crispy, cooked perfect. The soup a great blend had me sweating. Only negative is I’m from Georgia.“

“I've been happily stopping at Hunan East, nearly every Saturday, to fill up a take-out tray from their buffet, which has many healthful options, with stir-fried meat and vegetables, all cooked just enough. “My parents were ordering from Yum Yum for us since they opened in the 90’s. For me personally this is the best Chinese food in town. They are family owned and really good people, their food is always fresh and they have the best fried noodle chips, fried rice, general tsos chicken and eggrolls. They also deliver which is really fast, I was pleasantly surprised they delivered out to my area so be sure to ask to see if you’re not sure.“

“We had an amazing date night at the Ugly Dumpling, an upscale but cozy dim sum spot at Willow Lawn that keeps us coming back for their authentic, affordable, and always satisfying food. First off, the chicken came out looking beautiful and perfectly cooked. The wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, well-seasoned, and NOT dried out at all. You get 5 pieces of wings, they’re already cut into pieces, (not whole wings) and honestly they were so good I would come back just to order the wings by themselves

The shrimp fried rice was flavorful, had a good amount of shrimp, and paired perfectly with the chicken.

The customer service was also great. The lady welcomed me as soon as I walked in, which I really appreciated.

Overall, this was definitely a 10/10 for me. Simple, flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Those wings though😮‍💨🔥 I’m already thinking about my next order.

“We have ordered here for years and have always loved the food. It's generally our favorite Chinese in the area. Unfortunately the last 2 times we have had missing items. It wasn't a huge deal (especially the first time - just missing an egg roll) but today we were missing 2 egg rolls. I really don't like to complain but it seems they may be going down hill which I really hate. Please pay attention when packing orders and start checking everything before you leave!“

“I've been coming here since a kid, well before most of my neighborhood in Midlothian completed development and even after 15+ years it's still just as good as it was back then. The food is always hot and the order is always ready before I get there. The Steamed Pork dumplings are my go-to and have not fallen off. Definitely the best chineese spot in Midlothian and hope it stays in business for many more years to come.“

“First time ordering from Lucky. So glad we did. My wife has a very keen palet and will point out every detail. The food was fresh and very good. Delivery was quick and tried tipping the delivery driver $10. He says no, too much $3 dollars and gives me $7 back! Who does this?? Lol

“As an NYC transplant I NEED some good Chinese food in my life or I will NOT survive. That being said, this is the ONLY Chinese food spot I ever go to. They dont deliver but I would gladly take the 20 minutes to get there get my food and get back home over any other Chinese place around me.

“This is a pleasant surprise… My wife and I are new to the area (6 Months) and over the past few months we have been in town have been trying places to compare to our classic back home “American style Chinese” favorites. This was a great meal. We called, placed to go, and drove 9 minutes to pick up our “ready in 15” order. When I walked in the man working the counter was bringing that all to familiar brown paper bag from the back. Just our luck it was my order, we had a great quick conversation and I headed on my way. Now, for the food, that’s what matters because after all this is not a sit down style place, so ignore those negative atmosphere reviews…

The order was $52 for crab Rangoon, steamed pork dumplings (real dumps, not someone trying to pass Goyza off as a dumpling!) and 2 warm fresh egg rolls. The mains were General tso’ chicken and a happy family. One order white and one order fried rice. All were a great balance of flavor, meat, vegetables and sauce. We are extremely pleased with the overall experience and I recommend anyone looking for a quick filling meal show this spot some support.

If you want a full sit down with a perfect designed interior and a wait staff, go to Shortpump and pay for it.

“Peter changs is the most authentic Chinese restaurant that I know of. a close second would be Full Kee on horsepin off of broad. but P.Cheng's is a combo of traditional grandma like made hot pots with a twist of today to some beautifully created food art type appatisers. the scallion bubble packed is a delightfully fun munch. we ordered peking duck for take-out tonight. my husband will drive across town to get it as we are in Midlothian. the online order menue is not working. the price listed is 35.00. However the menue will not allow me to even register or order. I called we were told the price of the dish is 65.00$$$! we have pking duck 1/yr on NYE and it's my favorite Chinese Dish . so we bit the bullet and ordered. when we asked about the price difference we were told something that y'all should know.... we were told ...oh. we rais our prices around Christmas! Well thanx PETER CHANG. This better be the Best pking duck I could even imagine. This is what you think of your customers SMH.. I'm not sure that I will continue dinning with you in the future. what a shame. such good food and during the Christmas season most places offer something special to show appreciation to their patrons. “Living South of the river, I was pleasantly reminded about China Panda via the Sons of China Panda pop up this week. This morning, I got the egg tart, peanut silken tofu and mochi cake. I'm saving the egg tart and mochi cake for an after school treat sampling. The silken tofu that he said his Mom was up making overnight was simple, delicious, and a much more favorable breakfast than the typical simple carb or saturated fat laden fare common in our American diets and reflected in the offerings by local businesses. I think they would do rather well and wish I'd stopped by [on time] for more of their offerings this week. Hopefully, they will return soon! I'll also make a point to stop by China Panda for lunch in the near future.“

“Love love loveee this new location they always have hot food and have appropriate portion sizes not too much like highland springs, and not always trying to give baby potions because of their customer volume like Chester when they are trying to push people out the door. They also make food at the end of the night unlike Chester and bin air who will tell you they are all out of everything 45mins before closing. I have my best days when Adame, Taniya, and the short older woman are working. It’s always super clean they drop food often and the managers are NEVER scared to step up when their team needs help.
