“I can’t believe I’m eating good Chinese food in a mall. I rely on reviews to make meal choices so I’m compelled to leave this review. The reviews looked promising so I ventured out. Was almost dissuaded when I noticed it was inside the mall. I had the general Tso chicken, broccoli beef combo with fried rice. It was quite good! The lady server was polite and helpful. Will be back!“

“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! “I've been happily stopping at Hunan East, nearly every Saturday, to fill up a take-out tray from their buffet, which has many healthful options, with stir-fried meat and vegetables, all cooked just enough. I get enough food for 4 meals, for the price of two, and that's with a tip (just my choice, not expected, and I serve myself).“

“Tonight we had the pleasure of having a waitress named Nik. She was attentive, communicative and warm. She made sure our refills were well timed, checked in after she dropped off anything to our table to ensure the quality was up to par, and overall had a very warm demeanor. We did however have the displeasure of having the veggie spring rolls which were soggy, flavorless, and better suited for a gas station heat lamp. The Changs spicy chicken was okay if you like your chicken sweet instead of spicy. Would return for the service alone, but absolutely will not be ordering those dishes again.

“I’m biased, I used to work for Tina. Yeah she can be rude. But she also gave me and my friends decent jobs, celebrated Chinese new year with us, and let my Dad hang out at the restaurant when I worked on holidays. I’ve dealt with ruder restaurants in NYC for double the price. The food is good. She’s usually overwhelmed with orders when it’s busy and English isn’t her first language. If you want to avoid any issue when you order just say it how it’s listed and don’t ask specifics or changes. “Mock Ham Lo Mein Extra Spicy” and say “that’s it.” If you’re looking for a bespoke experience this ain’t it. Hungry and want a a lot of Chinese take-out with a bunch of vegan options? This is the spot.“

“Try the steamed whole fish (striped bass), pork dumplings in chili oil, dry fried green beans, spicy wood ear salad, Piao Xiang popcorn shrimp, Zhangcha Tea-Smoked duck or hot spicy pork ribs. Tiger lager is excellent. It's the Sichuan equivalent of a Cantonese place like Full Kee in terms of quality, execution and flavor.“

The eggrolls were missing from my doordash delivery, and I called and he was ready to use his resources to make sure I got them and I heard the woman telling him she was sure they were in the order since she cooked them to order. I placed a second order the next day and he included the eggrolls with that order. The food is so good, and the customer service is seriously on point as well. On the rare occations that I do order food, this will 100% be my go to, the singapore curry noodles are out of this world (and I am not usually a fan of curry). I very highly recommend!“

“This is a family owned, family run small restaurant with high standards and really great food! Always prepared fresh, fresh ingredients, nice portions, hot and well seasoned. I love this place!
If you're trying to decide what to order, I've tried, loved, and reordered, the beef and mushroom, curry chicken, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, crab rangoons, and fried rice.
But honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu.“

“That was some of the best lo mein and chicken and broccoli I’ve had. My boyfriend goes here and got us dinner. I’m glad he did. We ate it all. He loves the chicken wings and fried rice. It was just $23 and was still really good. Egg roll was good too.“

“WOW. Best little spot for quality Chinese food. There isn’t a dish i have not had. The fried chicken is finger licking, the sesame chicken is always flavorful and The Singapore Mei Fun is top tier. I’ve had other restaurants leave the tails on the shrimp, not Lung Wah. They offer delicious meals for reasonable prices and incredibly fast service. The staff is friendly and they provide any and all of the condiments you may desire (i strongly recommend the hot sauce). If you’re on the fence about trying this gem, take a leap and try it.“

When I walked in the restaurant I immediately wanted to cancel my order and leave. The inside is super small out dated and honestly kind of dirty looking. But I gave them a chance. Glad I did. On the other hand, when they give you a price and you go to pay that price in cash, they up charge you more. Sometimes it’s a few cents more. Then there are times when I was uncharged a dollar or 2 more. When confronted, they will say: oh, so sorry. I made a mistake. Nah bruh…you tried to beat me in the head.

If they beat me in the head for a few cents, just imagine how many other customers they do this to. Just be mindful and check your receipts.“

Decent ingredients but they flavor it for white people (I am one). Add some heat! Don't know if you can ask for it spicy or just have to add packets of sauces yourself. I would prefer the first choice. Uncle Roger would have some naughty words to say about the lack of seasoning.“

“Definitely for takeout, not for dining in. So far it’s had the best Chinese food of any restaurant I’ve tried in this area. The pork fried rice has the tasty chopped pork I expect to get instead of the little stringy brown pieces that many Chinese restaurants are using now. However, it lacked flavor. The beef with vegetables has very tender pieces of meat, and the vegetables taste very fresh. It’s very good, but needs a bit more brown sauce. The boneless barbecued pork has wonderful flavor but too many pieces with gristle, so I don’t recommend it. Overall, I’ve had two good experiences with Tings’s so far, and I will be ordering from them again.“

“We ordered takeout. The food was made fresh to order and delicious. They were courteous enough to keep their lights on for us 15mins past closing because we were running late to pick up. The restaurant and kitchen (which is in full view from the check out counter) were clean and spotless!
The service was prompt and the cashier polite. Not sure why this place has a 3.9 rating when they deserve a full five star rating!!

Started off with a hot and sour soup appetizer, which was flavorful and full of ingredients. For an entrée I ordered the happy family- beef, chicken, shrimp and scallops in brown sauce, with a side of fried rice. A huge heaping portion that I couldn't finish all of, and super delicious. The only two knocks for the meal were the rice- it wasn't exactly fried and just tasted like white rice that had been tossed in soy sauce or something? Still tasted fine, just wasn't really fried. The other thing being one of the scallops in the meal wasn't properly cleaned so it had gritty sand/ pebbles or something attached to it still. No big deal, it didn't ruin the rest of the food, I just avoided eating that one. It happens.My server was super attentive and sweet, food and drinks both came out quickly.
