Yet when I arrived there with my family at 7:03 pm last night (Sunday, March 5), the doors were locked and the crew was mopping the floor. I want to add to this that, after I left a message with this store about the problem described above, the owner called me directly to apologize. He has changed the sign on the door and corrected the problem. And the quality of their ice cream remains superb. I appreciate his responsiveness.“

“I had tons of gelato when I traveled to Italy with one of our favorite spots being Venchi. Since coming back, we've tried other gelato places but none have been anything like what we had there. Imagine how giddy I was to find out that the same Venchi was located in the States and close to my house!! We promptly tried the stracciatella ( my daughter's favorite) and it immediately took us back. It was rich, creamy, perfectly sweet, and delicious just like I remembered. We will definitely be back!“

It is a bit richer than some of the ice creams as they use 16% butterfat, so unfortunately it was melting quickly, but the green tea and chocolate flavors were really good. Unfortunately, on the day I went, they were out of ube, so I didn't get to try it, but I hope to sometime. I also wish they had more space inside as it is really difficult to eat ice cream in your car.“

“I have been a fan of Rita's for a few years and was excited to see one opening in Alexandria much closer to where I currently live than going to DC, Maryland, or other NOVA locations. It was even better to learn that they are a year-round open location. I have mainly ordered large gelatis and have had them both in-person and by Grubhub delivery. When I have been there in-person, the location is clean with some bench seating outside and the employees are friendly (one time I ordered for delivery and they promptly called me when the flavor I requested was out and I needed a substitute flavor). I have also ordered pup cups for my dog and they are a good size and reasonably priced. I recommend this spot for people who like Rita's or frozen treats, as they have a varied menu between the water ice, custard, and combinations of the two, along with milkshakes and more.“

The location was a bit difficult to find as it's tucked in behind some warehouse looking location. The car-side service was different from what I'm used to... “Love this place. There seems to be a little confusion in the reviews with people mistaking frozen custard and soft serve ice cream. Frozen custard is made with egg yolks, and so it has a little bit thicker texture. We happen to be huge fans of frozen custard and so absolutely how Campbell's makes it. I don't normally love vanilla flavored desserts but I make an exception for this place. We haven't tried most of the special flavors, but the chocolate and vanilla are both very good--we typically bring home a quart and mix in our own toppings. We also LOVE the Oreo ice cream sandwiches.“

I really like the chocolate frozen yogurt and the original tart here. I also like the coffee and cream and cookie flavors. There's a lot of toppings for frozen yogurt you can choose from, but definitely be careful of cross-contamination here, because I did have a reaction when a nut accidentally went into my frozen yogurt, and I am allergic to nuts. Some unique, great flavors here are also grape and banana, which are not commonly found in frozen yogurt shops (although it's hard to find frozen yogurt shops in general).They could also use more staffing to check for cross-contamination with toppings as this might be a concern for kids with more serious nut allergies. “La Moo Creamery is out of this world AWESOME! We found this location on a Google search for “ice cream near me” and we’re SO glad that we did. It was a crappy rainy night, which immediately calls for good food. La Moo Creamery didn’t disappoint. I ordered the Apple Pie A-La-Mod and my wife ordered the “Reese With A Spoon” total play on Reese Weatherspoon name (which we ❤️ her as an actress), and our boys had cookies and cream. The service was great, and the food was amazing. The store was clean, and the restroom was spotless. There decor in the restroom was sweet with signage and hand drawn signs. Parking can be a little tricky, but we waited about 2-3 minutes and a spot came available. Rate a 10 out of 10, highly recommended. Gave it a shot on a recommendation from a coworker and I've been back twice in a week for it. Nice and creamy, not overbearingly sweet, and incredibly tasty. My sister is a die hard coffee aficionado and can't get anough of their Italian Coffee gelato. I love their affogato with vanilla gelato. Also tried their pistachio gelato and it's made with real grounded pistachios. The service is also incredibly inviting and quick!“

“First coming here I was a bit stressed from the day and ordered my usual, a black milk tea with extra boba. The tea was sweet but not overpowered with the milk inside. They didn't use powdered milk, they used regular but in their options menu they could change out the type of milk if you asked. ( almond, etc) The drink came out fast. I sat down and it was already done which was quite nice. So I was able to sit down and truly enjoy the drink for a bit. The place itself was small but comfortable, with things to look at in every turn. I went down to the back hall and was greeted by the many artworks or phrases on walls from other customers. I had time to kill so I took some time to add in my own touch and although they only had two markers at the moment, they took the time to look around to see if they had any others with me asking. It was a very nice experience and I truly enjoyed it. It certainly made me less stressed. I would come back here again. :)“
