“Very popular lake on nice days with plenty of activities for families from fishing to hiking the trail, and Frisbee golf! The lake was designed for fisherman in mind so to be on the water with your own personal craft you are supposed to be actively fishing according to the regs, but they don't tend to enforce it anymore. I usually fish from my Kayak, but there are plenty of shore access places as well. Because of that this place is heavily fished, but if you have patience you can hook some big fish or spend a day with children catching numerous pan fish.“

“I went in for a blizzard last night, and the line was almost out the door. However, the employees were working feverishly to get through everyone quickly. When I got up to the register, I was informed they were out of chocolate ice cream. However, the guy told me not to worry because he would just blend fudge into the vanilla ice cream, and it would come out chocolatey. I agreed, and boy was he right! “They have pretty good selection of gelato hair. The pistachio gelato is pretty good and a dark chocolate vegan option is great for those who are dairy free. There's quite a large selection of chocolates here and some are plant-based as well. The chocolate is pretty good from Venchi. You can order a lot more online as well. Very busy place expect a long wait for your gelato. It gets pretty busy and chaotic in this small store“

“The best! You will definitely find a long queue but it’s worth the wait ! The line moves pretty fast thanks to the quick service. They have the best best ice creams ! I have been here couple of times and they never fail to surprise me with there ice cream flavors. My favorite so fast is the banana spilt sundae .“

“Frostie Moose is my favorite ice cream place. They have unique, non-artificial tasting flavors and their portions are great. I love that the flavors are a more mix-in style (sometimes) because it is soft serve. I always get a birthday cake ice cream milkshake with oreos, PB, and marshmallows, and it’s absolutely amazing. The owner is kind and very receptive to suggestions (re: asking customers what the flavor of the day should be). It is well worth the 20 min drive.“

“I was happy to find this wonderful place. I ended up having a taiyaki soft-serve ice cream. I took one of the swirl options, of which I had the pistachio and yuzu white chocolate. For both the taiyaki waffle and cone filling, I believe I had ube. Ube is a purple yam that is often used in Filipino cuisine. The consistency is a bit starchy and has a vanilla-like flavor. As far as sprinkles, I had matcha tea powder, and as a topping, I had an ube wafer. As for the interior of the building, the decor was very cute, but I seriously think the bathrooms could be made to look a lot more interesting by adding cute traditional decor and mural paintings! Other than that, everything was great! The service, the decor, and the food were all splendid.“

“Definitely had a bad experience at Rita's. The servers are friendly, and there are a variety of options for gelatis and italian ices, including a root beer float. I like how you get to control the flavor experience you get, and the gelati is well-thought out because you can get the custard on top, and the Italian ice on the top, getting an even experience to try the custards and Italian ices. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone in the Fairfax area.“

- I ordered 2 scoops of Pistachio and Coffee&Cookie (both flavors are too sweet and too milky for me)
- A bit pricey with 8USD for 2 scoops.

“Haagen-Dazs is probably one of the most expensive ice cream places that I have been to, almost $8-$9 after tax. However, what makes them stand out from other ice cream stores is that they don’t use artificial ingredients, and their ice cream is a bit bold and dense compared to other ice cream brands. I really like their Belgian chocolate, because of the creaminess, richness of the chocolate.

I would say the service is great even though there is usually a big crowd waiting for their ice cream, especially when it gets closer to closing time. However, regarding the atmosphere, it feels a little cramped to be eating ice cream, especially with such limited seating. The staff aren’t the friendliest and gave a bit of an attitude when I asked about nuts, with no clear answer, but it panned out because the ice cream actually didn’t have nuts.

Vegetarian options: Not clear on vegan options.

Kid-friendliness: could make more profits if they started selling kids’ sizes.“

“"Walky Feet" (local nickname) is a great local chain. Been coming here for a decade, maybe two. Delicious custard. Especially like the chocolate and the nut flavors. Not a fan of the birthday cake/cheesecake frequency; would love these to be mixed up more. Would also love to see some new flavors: ube, red bean, black sesame. And more peanut butter combos ?

Shakes are a bit small for the price but tasty. Good-sized helpings otherwise.

Plenty of reconfigurable seating both indoors and out, so good for groups. This branch has been particularly welcoming to our geocaching group's semi-regular get-togethers; thank you for that ? Hoping the train returns someday, as it's been out of commission for I think years now.

Parking: Huge lot for the shopping center with plenty of parking, although you can't park directly in front.
