“We *love* Guajiros! Particularly their breakfasts. Staff is perfectly friendly and helpful. The art is fun and the food is FANTASTIC! I loved the breakfast tacos until I got the breakfast bowl. Now, I can't seem to order anything else. The new outdoor patio is great! The indoor is nicely decorated with a " Miami, Florida " feel. But the noise dury busy hours is harsh for sound sensitive people like myself. Otherwise, it's our new family favorite. ❤️“

“Tucked away in sleepy Woolen Mills, Workshop serves up some of Charlottesville’s best coffee. Their team is always warm and knowledgeable. Their pastries are delicious and are gone early so don’t wait on a visit. Their outside sitting area is fantastic on a warm morning. Simply love this place.“

“I order at this Grit location quite often, as it is my favorite in Charlottesville! My drinks are always perfect. Service is quick and friendly. There is a decent amount of indoor seating as well. Note that there is no free parking, which is fine for students but probably an issue for Cville residents.“

I have gotten a latte each time, which is not the best I have had in Cville but not bad. Service is fairly quick and the baristas are skillful.“

“I had a reservation as part of a group for my mom’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately, the morning of the celebration, I tested positive for Covid 🙁 the reservation I made was nonrefundable, but I figured I would call anyway to see if we could get some money back. The woman I spoke with was very nice and said she’d pass my name along to her supervisor who would get back to me. I didn’t hear anything for a couple of days and was going to follow up once I felt better, and then I got a notification that they gave us a full refund! So easy, which I was so grateful for, considering how I was feeling. So, unfortunately I never got the opportunity to actually stay at the hotel, but my experience with them was great and I will absolutely book a room there the next time I need to stay in Charlottesville!“

“Gorgeous shop. They sell their own beans, with quite a few single origins. I wanted to try one that wasn't the rotating pour over on the menu, and they were very sweet and did it! It was phenomenal; I got the Brazil and all of the notes had a lot of clarity. Amazing staff, great service, and really well-roasted coffee. They also sell V60 supplies, and do their pour overs with ceramic V60 brewers. 100/10 for me.“

“I was in the hospital for a month with broken water and once I had my daughter she was in the NICU for a month. This place was my saving grace everyday. Being stuck at the hospital for 2 months felt unbearable but this was such a nice thing to have especially the month I was there with broken water and couldn’t leave at all. The people working are super friendly and would even ask about me and my baby. I tried I think every drink on the menu and all were delicious. I got to the point I would just say to surprise me and could trust they could make something delicious. The one lady also remembered every time I could only drink decaf which was so nice when I know they see at least 100 faces a day. My favorite drinks were the almond joy and mounds, made as iced breves. Even now when we go for appointments I still stop by to get a coffee.“

Parking: Be careful in the parking lot and the drive-through. People drive through there too fast. There is enough parking but sometimes it can get full and it's a small area.“

“I’ve been here a few times just for one thing—a Matcha Latte. The customer service is always great, and the staff is super friendly, but they really need to work on their matcha game. Every time I order, I end up with chunks of matcha in my drink, and let’s be real, that’s disgusting. As a former barista, I know it’s an easy fix, so please show the team how to properly mix it!😅“

“Cute restaurant and the food was amazing. Brunch at Oakhurst Inn is an absolute treat. The burger was phenomenal—juicy, flavorful, and elevated by a rich onion jam that hit all the right notes. The fried chicken sandwich was another highlight: perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a hot sauce that brought just the right amount of heat and tang.

The beignets were a delightful surprise—pillowy soft and paired beautifully with citrus and raspberry jam. Pair that with a light, crisp mimosa and you’ve got yourself a perfect morning.

Parking is stress-free thanks to the adjacent garage, and if the weather’s nice, definitely opt for a table outside. The patio is peaceful and adds so much charm to the experience. A must-visit brunch spot in town.“
