“More expensive than other local shops but really, really good coffee. The baristas clearly are well trained and the curated coffee selection for sale is the best in town. Having been spoiled by Europe's coffee scene after being over there for a few years, this is closest I've come to that style of artisan coffee drinks and beans for sale. Highly recommend!“

“Not too long ago I discovered Sk Coffee and I’m already in love with it. Not only do you get greeted with smiles but you get great quality coffee. Sk coffee is a great place to go to if you want a quiet environment for studies etc. I 100% recommend this to anybody!“

“The food is fantastic and seasonal, the bar list well thought out and curated, portions are not skimp they will feed you like your at nonna house and she thinks your to skinny topped of with a wonderful laid back atmosphere and great out door seating. They only have one chef and one waitress for now so some times it may take a min so be mindful to think of what you need when she gets there, get your waters your self inside, order pitchers and bottles of what you want so they dont have to run back and forth more the food is well worth the wait and dont you dare be shitty to the staff dont be those people. Can not wait to go back and take my friends and family this will be a regular spot for sure.“

“When you're walking up to a coffee shop and people are outside having happy conversations on the patio, you know you've found the right spot. C'ville Coffee is where all the locals come, and if that doesn't make you want to go, then you probably don't like good coffee.“

“I never get food but the drinks are always really good! I love coming here on the weekends to study. It never gets too crowded and there’s a ton of seating. The only time it may get a little tough is when the extra space is closed off for privare events.

Note: They use Grit coffee beans for all their drinks (which is great).“

“Stopped here for a bathroom break and a coffee on our road trip. The coffee was good but selection was just your standard stuff. I like some fun flavors or options (note they had syrups but left it to you to come up with the combinations). Blackboard walls with chalk was a cool touch. Also bathroom was not as nice as I had hoped, definitely better than your typical gas station. Staff was pretty friendly. Pretty good overall, but was lacking something which is why I didn't give it 5 stars.“

“This is my 2nd visit to Camellia’s, and I am hooked. Their coffee is VERY good. I basically want to guzzle my latte. Their baristas and cashiers are super nice. Their pastry selection is insane. I’ve now tried three different pastries (no, I didn’t get two although I wanted to. I tried a piece of my friend’s lol), and all were delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, and they have lots of different searing options. You can sit at tables, in armchairs, on couches etc. This is now my new favorite coffee shop, and I spend a lot of time in coffee shops - so they’re about to get to know me really well!“

“I've been a regular at Grit for quite some time, and I truly enjoy visiting this spot. The staff here are exceptional every interaction I've had has been positive! The two gentlemen even remember my order, even if I haven’t been in for weeks. Today, I saw them manage a challenging customer situation with such grace and kindness. It was impressive to watch. “I order at this Grit location quite often, as it is my favorite in Charlottesville! My drinks are always perfect. Service is quick and friendly. There is a decent amount of indoor seating as well. Note that there is no free parking, which is fine for students but probably an issue for Cville residents.“

“Went to this starbucks and through the drive thru. I knew I wanted food but wasn't quite sure what. Rocky at the cashier was super helpful and patient! They answered all my questions and even gave recommendations. I was very grateful...I would have taken way longer to order my food as I was getting another persons order on a call. They were great! Even though I didn't want a coffee they still offered me water and even loaded me up with napkins and hot sauce and everything. This Starbucks is lucky to have them.“

“I was in the hospital for a month with broken water and once I had my daughter she was in the NICU for a month. This place was my saving grace everyday. Being stuck at the hospital for 2 months felt unbearable but this was such a nice thing to have especially the month I was there with broken water and couldn’t leave at all. The people working are super friendly and would even ask about me and my baby. I tried I think every drink on the menu and all were delicious. I got to the point I would just say to surprise me and could trust they could make something delicious. The one lady also remembered every time I could only drink decaf which was so nice when I know they see at least 100 faces a day. My favorite drinks were the almond joy and mounds, made as iced breves. Even now when we go for appointments I still stop by to get a coffee.“

“They know me by name here and never get my order wrong. The staff works hard so I make sure I add a tip on my mobile app or tip in cash.

Parking: Be careful in the parking lot and the drive-through. People drive through there too fast. There is enough parking but sometimes it can get full and it's a small area.“

“I had a reservation as part of a group for my mom’s 60th birthday. Unfortunately, the morning of the celebration, I tested positive for Covid 🙁 the reservation I made was nonrefundable, but I figured I would call anyway to see if we could get some money back. The woman I spoke with was very nice and said she’d pass my name along to her supervisor who would get back to me. I didn’t hear anything for a couple of days and was going to follow up once I felt better, and then I got a notification that they gave us a full refund! So easy, which I was so grateful for, considering how I was feeling. So, unfortunately I never got the opportunity to actually stay at the hotel, but my experience with them was great and I will absolutely book a room there the next time I need to stay in Charlottesville!“

“I cannot speak for the food, but the coffee is some of the best I’ve had in America. My husband ordered a macchiato and I grabbed a vanilla iced coffee - two things that can be easily messed up. The iced coffee was perfection. The vanilla tasted real, was not overly sweet, and complemented the coffee perfectly. The coffee wasn’t overly acidic and had been brewed well - it wasn’t burnt tasting like many local roasters. The vibes were chill, there’s a ton of space to hang around, and the staff were delightful!“

“Enjoyed a cortado & scone and was looking to try a pour over as well. Olivia the barista was very knowledgeable and helped guide me to an amazing coffee for the pour over. Had to pick up a bag of beans. Highly recommend if you're looking for great coffee.“

“I’ve been here a few times just for one thing—a Matcha Latte. The customer service is always great, and the staff is super friendly, but they really need to work on their matcha game. Every time I order, I end up with chunks of matcha in my drink, and let’s be real, that’s disgusting. As a former barista, I know it’s an easy fix, so please show the team how to properly mix it!😅“

“I just moved to the area and saw this place on my way to work, so I decided to swing in with a friend. It’s a quaint inn that gave cozy vibes. We went on a Friday morning at 8:30 so it wasn’t crowded.

First of all, Kay and Cheyanne are so amazing. They gave such good recommendations, I went for the seasonal coffee that was honey/almond/blueberry and the avocado toast. The coffee blew me away with how creamy it was, despite being dairy free???!!! I’m super picky about my milk, I’m a firm believer that coffee should be served with full fat milk, so with this drink I was beyond impressed. I also looked at my bill and they didn’t charge me for the drink??? So generous of them😭❤️

As for the avocado toast, I took a leap of faith and went with Kay’s recommendation, and it didn’t disappoint. I never order this at a restaurant (they just tend to be overpriced and nothing special), but the marinated tomatoes and flakey sour dough sounded so good and it exceeded my expectations. Definitely would come back and order the same items because I just loved them so much, but also excited to explore the menu more. Come here for the best service, delicious food, and a cozy place to catch up with some friends on a slow morning.“

“We were thrilled to work with the Carpe Donut team for our daughter's recent wedding. Needless to say, that cute little truck and the amazing donuts were a hit with all our guests! They packed up some leftovers for our bridal party's morning-after breakfast, which was such a nice touch. This was just the "something unique" touch that we were hoping for at the reception. Thanks for such a great experience!“
