“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

“Ordered the coconut cream cold brew, it is pretty tasty. The station with the napkins, sugars, tops, etc didn't smell good at all, like something was sour. I think it is a bit overpriced for the size of drink you get. Paid $7.15 with nothing added.“

“If i could i would give this place zero stars..but not an option. I was a new visitor to this establishment, and let him know that prior to ordering. Wanted the turkey (happy place) a drink and a scone. I get my meal and there is no turkey on it. So I got back and explained I wanted the turkey happy place. He said no you ordered the "our happy place". I said sir I even pointed to what I wanted on the menu. I didn't realize there were two items with the same name. He said that is your fault and you should know the menu. I said we'll I had let you know prior it was my first time here. He said I don't care if it's your first or 3rd you should know the menu. He said I'm not going to remake it., that's what you ordered. I said I would of never order anything with spinach because I'm allergic to it. He said so..I'm not remaking it! So not only did I have to wait a long time for thr sandwich, I couldn't eat it cause I was allergic to the ingredients. So I get back to my office hungry and upset to realize he didn't put the scone I paid for in thr bag. So I call and he says oh next time I will give it to you. No apology or anything. ..and next time, I paid for it this time. Very rude to new customers and would never spend my money there again. I don't understand why he was so rude. You think you would want to retain customers so they will do repeat visits.“

“The moment you walk in, the environment is so welcoming, fresh, and vibey. It's like you know " this is going to be good". Then you are greeted, and the service was just that much better. She was awesome, super friendly and likeable. Didn't have to wait too long for food, clearly it was made fresh to order because when i got it (chicken ceaser wrap with fries) it was AMAZING. the fries were so perfectly crisp and warm, the wrap was balanced, warm, but not too warm because of the lettuce. Cannot rave enough about my experience, and the food. I'm looking forward to when i can make it back for another meal!“

Great way to support local within local while being able to pray or do work. very quiet. very welcoming. no one is demanding you to pray to get coffee. it's the most unique coffee shop I've ever been to. the idea. the layout. everything is great. I got a sandwich and some beans. Great spot“

“Very interesting place and comfortable for sitting and reading, which is what most people were doing. I had to meet a customer in the area to sign documents. As a mobile notary, we found it easy to do that here and enjoy coffee at the same time. Will bring back more customers.

“Not sure how to graciously ask this question, but I am usually taken back when I see foodies without prices on their menu. It makes me think those preparing the menu may be arrogant to believe that price means nothing to patrons. Price matters. Are foods and drinks priced too high to be transparent? Are all patrons so well off that price to them really does not matter? I will sometimes pass over a place if they hide their prices, just because there are so many others that do not hide them. The atmosphere just by itself deserves a reluctant visit.“

I ordered a classic Cà Phê Bac Xiu(Vietnamese white coffee) and it was exactly how it should be: smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweet. They also offer unique variations like coconut coffee and egg coffee, both of which are worth a try if you’re feeling adventurous. I tried their bakery as well. “I tried Peet’s Coffee for the first time and WOW—way beyond my expectations. I ordered the vanilla caramel frappe and it was so delicious. I love that they add the caramel at the bottom of the cup instead of just on the sides—every single sip had the perfect balance of caramel and vanilla. Absolutely amazing.

If you bring kids, expect them to grow attached to this location (and make them eventual foodies.) Interior makes you think you stepped into a nice hotel lobby, which is steps up from a regular Starbucks and bar! Location is great with tons of parking and near the public library. Just don't get the alcoholic drinks - does not go well with the food. Expensive for everyday, but great for special occasions.“

“I ordered the Greek and the smoked salmon and added a poached egg to both, my goodness, the food was amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. I also got the cold-pressed juice called Cure since I’m feeling a bit under the weather, and wow, it was so satisfying. My husband ordered the Heartthrob, and once again, just out of this world.

Dela helped us with ordering and checked in on us, and the service was truly top notch. The place itself is so cute and inviting, which made the experience even better. All the different pastries were awesome (my son had a mango cream bun every time). You HAVE to try the Tiramisu latte. Oh! Oh! And the Black Forest Cake was the friggin bomb! More than how great the food was, the ownership and staff were spectacular! We felt like we were popping in and seeing old friends. Finally we got the chance to visit and try the Adani tea their as a big fan for yemeni adani tea this one was so close to what we tried before in the Middle East. “A local young man made my day and I felt I needed to tell everyone about him. The past freezing cold week I dropped into Safeway @5:30 PM at Merchant Plaza to get some supplies. Upon leaving I observed another driver struggling to get his truck started. I got distracted and hurried to put my groceries in the car and return the cart so I could help the dad get his truck started. What I didn’t realize is that I left my wallet in the cart and worse did not realize it until 11:30 at night. Safeway was closed and would not open until 6:00 AM. We put all the credit cards on hold and was not happy about having to replace multiple IDs, and likely lost $300.00. The next morning I went thru the garbage cans thinking the worst and when the store opened checked the customer Service - would have to wait until 10:00 AM. Promptly called and discovered that they had my wallet, it had been returned by one of the Safeway employees - Alex! It took another week before I could meet Alex and personally thank him and give him a reward. Several visits to the store working with the manager Robert learning about Alex and discussing what a great deed this young man did. I am truly grateful for the young people Safeway hires and for the ethics and morals of this amazing young man Alex. Alex was a little bit shy, but understood just what I felt about his actions and how much I appreciated his kindness. I rewarded Alex with some cash…. Really feel great about our neighborhood Safeway and its employees!“
