“We hosted the rehearsal dinner for our daughter and now son-in-law at Golden Leaf Bistro and it was absolutely wonderful. We had a group of about 30 people and chose a buffet-style dinner, which was perfect. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful and intimate.
Nicole, our waitress, was amazing—attentive, friendly, and on top of everything all evening. Natalie, the manager, went above and beyond. She even called the evening before to check in with us to see if we needed anything or wanted to make changes due to the impending weather, which we truly appreciated.
The service, communication, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host such a special event. Highly recommend!”

“Just wanted to say, got a pie from you guys back in September when I was in town for Blue Ridge Rock Fest. I’m from Chicago and ever since I’ve left I cannot stop thinking about this pizza. It was hands down the best pizza I’ve had in my life. The consistency of the bread, the crust wasn’t super doughy, the cheese was melted perfectly, and with just the right amount of sauce, which wasn’t super sweet either. I must declar that if the Krusty Krab had a pizza, this would indeed be it, because this is the pizza for you and me. I’ve had several dreams about that pizza I ate in September. I would do just about anything for just one more. Please never close. I promise one day I will be back. and I will order 100 pizzas.”

She was absolutely amazing she made great food suggestions and offered to answer or help with any questions we had about the menu. Very polite and attentive and had my grandmother smiling the entire time. We have had bad experiences there a few times before and decided tonight we would give it one more try and because of her we will definitely be back she was great”

“San Marcos is my go-to Mexican restaurant whenever I’m visiting Danville, VA. The food is consistently delicious, and the portions are just right for both lunch and dinner. It’s also conveniently located near several shopping spots, which makes it the perfect place to grab a bite while out on a shopping day. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! Ask for Alexis she is super sweet and makes sure you’re taken care leaving satisfied.”

The universe tried to curtail our Christmas event for Milltown Saloon & Spirits but Richard went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect along with Davis being the absolute best. Giving River District and their staff a recommendation wouldn’t be enough as no one could ask for more an amazing place.”

We discovered this fantastic place several years ago and have been absolutely awed by the outstanding food and the service. Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of Crema and Vine is that it is a family run business, which we always try to support, and have for years. The owners, Steve and Angela truly care about their customers and we feel like family when we are there. May they continue to operate Crema and Vine for many years as the outstanding place it is.”

“Whoever Shirley T is outdid herself 🤣 as soon as we pulled up and could smell the food from outside, we knew it was going to be good. There was a taller gentleman working there who was so so nice, I didn’t catch his name. I was quite overwhelmed with all their options(solely because everything looked good) BUT there is something there for everyone. The food was delicious. Specifically, the Mac & cheese was 10/10. We will return next time we come to VA.”

“This place has some of the best cheeseburgers and hotdogs along with bbq. Im sure there’s other good things but im stuck on them 3 items lol. Crinkle cut fries are good too but if you like your fries with a crisp like me then make sure you tell them extra crispy because they come a little on the soft side at regular order. Milkshakes are also good and im more vanilla but my wife likes the pumpkin shake. This place does get packed at times but it’s worth it if you can get a seat.”

“2/1/24 My first visit: I took my family to Captain Cook's to celebrate my father's birthday. It was a party of 13. The place was very clean and spacious! The hosts acknowledged us as soon as we walked in, and our table was available immediately! When we got to our table, I felt the air from the ceiling fan, and before I could say anything, the host already knew and turned off the fan! She was paying attention! Wow! 😊 Our waitress was very pleasant and personable, listened carefully to our requests, and was quickly accommodating. It was like she was reading our minds. And the food???? FRESH, HOT, and DELICIOUS! To end the evening, the price was great for the quality and quantity of food we received! We were comfortable and didn't feel rushed! Thanks to the entire Captain Cook's Staff for a great dining experience to celebrate my father's birthday. I will visit again when I'm in town! 5/5 💥”

“Not from VA but visited on valentines weekend and someone local told us to try and I’m so glad we did. Some of the best cake I’ve ever eaten. I had the biscoff cake it was AMAZING. Also had chocolate covered bacon and sweet potato pie which were all so so good. We will def stop by this place every time we are in the area. It’s a MUST TRY for sure 😋”

“We ate here Christmas Day for my sister’s 21st birthday. The service was impeccable, they sat our party of 11 immediately, they even helped me pick out a special drink for her (a large bowl with a live flame filled with a delicious pineapple drink and fruit). Not only was the service amazing, but the food was delicious! We got sushi, low mein, hibachi and seafood. Everything was delicious. This is by far the best sushi/asian food in Danville! “Just ate there for the first time and was greeted as we arrived like family. The servers were well informed and explained the menu items we were ordering. While eating we talked at length with the waiter and the son of the owner. Very friendly employees and the food was excellent. We will be sure to return again and highly recommend it.”

“I am literally sitting in the restaurant writing the review, that's how GREAT it is!!! I am a traveling nurse, and came here regularly almost 3 years ago because it was so wonderful then. Well, I'm back working local, and it is still absolutely top notch! The service is like that of fine dining but as friendly as your neighbor. The owner even remembered me when I walked in the door. The fresh hot focaccia bread with sun dried tomato oil is to die for. And my clam linguini was better than ANY I've had even on the coast! The salad bar has choices most don't, with marinated salads, pickles and fruit. I am still 1000% impressed with this place! Definitely my #1 choice of places to eat in Danville or anywhere close. I keep telling my parents, who live 2 hours away, we are driving up one day just to eat here. That's just how good it is! Now that my fresh clam juice has absorbed in my pasta, I am going to finish eating! I'm in heaven! I wish I could show you a picture! LOL”

“I have been coming here since 2009 when I moved to Danville. I specifically like Friday's special because it is the only place that serves fresh roasted turkey (not deli-style). The meatloaf and pot roast are devine. The vegetables are so good. Thank you, Danview, for serving us real food. 😋😋😋😋😋”

“Have been in Firehouse about 4 times over the past 2 weeks. The food is delicious, hot and ready to eat. The staffers are polite and friendly. The building was always clean. Kudos to the staff!!”

The drive thru is very fast and same polite service. The food is very consistent which I appreciate from any food establishment. The eat in lobby is comfortable and clean. All staff is helpful and I recommend for anyone to give them a try. Make sure to ask for some mandarin teriyaki sauce and use it on the rice…whew a game changer! Very good food!”

“I have food allergies, which many people do! one of the things that I am allergic to is cheese. I needed to grab some lunch today on my lunch break. I am trying to eat healthier these days so, I tried to get a salad with no cheese from the Wendy’s on South Boston Road in Danville, VA and I was told... “sorry ma’am, all of our salads are pre-made and you cannot get a salad without cheese.” I guess Wendy’s is not allergy friendly and they have horrible customer service!!!! On the other hand, I went up the road to the Burger King on South Boston Road and went through the drive through and told them about my allergies and asked for a salad without cheese and they made me a fresh made-to-order salad right then and there! :) Good job BK on South Boston Road for your awesome customer service!!! :)))Guess at Burger King you can really have it your own way! :))) � � to the Wendy’s on South Boston Road. You have horrible service!! Maybe y’all need some customer service training from Burger King??? Nevertheless, Wendy’s just lost my business!!!”

“I got steak and chicken hibachi and my wife got chicken and shrimp. Both were very good and was plenty to eat. Staff was very nice and kept a check on us to make sure things were going good. Definitely recommend this place. Don’t pay attention to some of these reviews talking about bugs or over priced with not much food. Been plenty of times and I’ve never seen anything close to what some people say. It is an older building but it’s fine.”

“This is my second time dining in. We hit it when we come back from Florida. Great place. Great food. The staff has always been helpful and quick to answer questions. Even though we came in about an hour to an hour and a half before closing, the staff was accommodating, and personable.
