“Honestly great BBQ for an amusement park. The portions are decent and we really enjoyed the KD BBQ sauce. We had the 1/2 smoked chicken, pulled pork, and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were huge and moist. My daughter said they were some of the best chicken tenders she has ever had in her life. The pulled pork was really tender and had great flavor even before putting the sauce on it. Smoked chicken also wasn't dry, and had great smoky flavor to it. The mac and cheese was surprisingly good as well. Potato wedges were, well, potato wedges so I think its hard to screw those up. Overall, we bought three platters for two adults a teen girl and tween boy and everyone was full. Now, the prices are still amusement park prices so with the food and drinks it was seventy dollars. So, take that into consideration. But that was our one meal in the park so we were ok with it. We go to KD every year and I will definitely go back for food at The Pit.“

“Our small wedding party (10) dined at Hanover Tavern after our late morning wedding on a Friday! The atmosphere was very nice and cozy and the staff was delightful and attentive. Our server Lisa did an exceptional job taking care of our orders and the food was absolutely delicious, portions were larger than expected, and pricing was fair for the quality of food and service we received. The grounds are very pretty and we loved that we could explore the tavern after our meal and shop from their gift shop. I would absolutely recommend this historical restaurant for those who like pub style dining with comfort food flair. My entire party was 100% happy with our dining experience at the Hanover Tavern!!! Thank you for making my special day even more special!“

“My friends and I have breakfast at Cracker Barrel quite often and are, typically, not disappointed. The food was served hot and was plentiful. Our service was great and the waitress made sure we had everything we needed. The decor in Cracker Barrel is always interesting; however, it was very loud and somewhat difficult to converse . . . that’s part of Cracker Barrel so know it going in to dine. It’s not a place for a romantic dinner but it’s a place for a good meal!“

“I enjoyed the Shrimp Scampi with Spaghetti and would highly recomend. The Spaghetti was a perfect al dente and the shrimp was also cooked to perfection (there is that fine line to over cooked and under cooked shrimp, yet happily this was just right). I also very much enjoyed the scampi sauce. I sat at the bar where TJ as usual gave great service.“

“Thought they were more of a place that served pub food, but they are actually closer to a higher end restaurant. Even though they do have some sandwiches, their main entrées are more elaborate. The atmosphere is really cool, and we ended up sitting outside. Ashland is such a quaint little town. They're right on the railroad tracks, and a train comes by probably every 15 to 20 minutes or so. Took my family because my wife hadn't seen the new Secretariat statue yet, and she wanted to, so we went there for lunch. It's a pretty big place with lots of feeding inside, a bar area, and then outdoor seating. We got a large pretzel for an appetizer. My daughter got a double cheeseburger, I got the meatloaf dinner, and my mother-in-law and wives split a wedge salad. Overall, the food was pretty good. Not a cheap place, some entrées were in the high $20's and $30 range. Staff was very nice and sweet, but kept forgetting things and didn't come by that often. We waited quite a while for our food, and mine came out cold. Luckily, I don't mind cold meatloaf, but the mashed potatoes weren't that good this way. It's an old staple of the area, so I'd probably try again for more of a special occasion. We did get to see Mr. Jingles, bike ride around and put a little show on.“

“This place exceeded my expectations. The food was hot and what I had was tasty. The dessert left something to be desired but I didn't really need it anyways. The service was delightful.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved all of it. I had to draw the line at cotton candy!“
“My Lady and I were in the Glen Allen, VA area to visit some of her relatives and her cousin took us to Suzanne’s for lunch. This was a real treat. I had potato salad and a reuben sandwich and some vegetable soup. The food was 5-Star and the best veggie soup that I’ve had in a very long time. When discussing the rating of the food with My Lady, she was knit-picking until I asked her about the big cookie that she had … her remark… “Off the chart!” Case closed. The ambiance is back-home country and one of us had to sit down at a table to hold our seats while 2 of us went to the counter to order the food. They also call your name when your order is ready and you have to go to the counter to pick it up. There is no table service.“

“Had to stop to take a break from driving in the snow squalls, from NY to NC. Being #carnivore everyone was accommodating. Waitress was friendly, chef was on point.Dietary restrictions: They're accommodating. My zero carb life was not negatively affected. I was able to mix menu selections to remove carbs and plants.“

“Left Trackside after 15 minutes of being ignored by wait staff after seating, we went to SportsPage! OUR NEW FAVORITE PLACE!! Seated right away, immediately staff there asking for drink choices (YES! they have Pocahoptas ON TAP!!!) and a pretty extensive menu. My ONLY disappointment was ordering the veggie burger to be told they no longer carry it :( WHAT?!?!?BRING IT BACK! The beyond or impossible burgers are amazing!I ended up with the southwest wrap and it was huge. The BF had the club sandwich and it put Trackside's to shame. We'll definitely be going back!“

“The food is amazing! A real culinary experience! Chef Denis Calliman designed the entire menu and his team makes everything from scratch! Our party of 8 sampled the entire menu! Our favs were the battered shrimp on a kabob, the roasted chicken that is ginormous, ALL the sides, and the fry bread is a party in your mouth! His knowledge of fair food, flare, and fun comes together for an adventure for your pallette! Also, the bartender Barbara makes the most delicious drinks in the park! The staff is friendly, professional, and you can tell, works as a family! We will definitely be back!We loved it and Chef Denis taught me a thing or 2 about my teenage goofball boys! Thank you for an amazing experience! Much love!Mrs. Sara“
