“Heard this place was great for Sunday brunch. Made a reservation and was so pleased with the ambience when seated; when looking over the menu, we felt certain we had been handed the wrong one because it was 11am and there were no brunch items to be found! But sadly, there is only this one menu regardless of day or timing. Very disappointing!! We pieced together some soup and appetizers as a “brunch” meal; the food was very good and our waitress very kind. However, we did send our comments to the chef expressing dismay that a brunch spot offered zero menu items that were even close to being considered brunch options!“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“Amazing place and food. Only issue is it was extremely cold in the restaurant. Eventually, I realized they had the door open to the hallway which isn't heated. I politely asked them to close the door which dramatically changed the temperature in the restaurant. And heads up it is pricey. But worth it.“

Vaulx was our waitress and she was attentive, cheerful and always had a smile on her face. I might be bias but I would recommend requesting her as your waitress and you won't be disappointed! “My husband and I had dinner on a quiet Wednesday evening. We shared guacamole which was very good with some unusual little additions. My husband had the beef steak and loved it. Again unusual ingredients made the dish very delicious. I had the pork which I had enjoyed a year ago and again I loved it! The service was very attentive. “We arrived at ~6:45 and were a bit concerned that the restaurant was not very busy and looked almost closed but it wasn't. We had the skirt steak and wild salmon. Both tasted very good and were well prepared. Service was friendly and quick. Based on our experience, we were wondering why more people weren't eating here. “Looking for a fun activity with our family before Thanksgiving, we chose bowling. The prices were definitely cheaper than commercial locations. The place was clean with stations every few lanes with balls organized by color and weight. There were ramps available for anyone to use if necessary. There is also the ability to set bumpers to raise and lower for an individual in your group. You have the ability to edit your score, which is great because a few times pins would fall on their own and add to the score. There were options for scoring using regular bowling rules or other fun games. While we didn’t eat there, but there were plenty of food and drink selections. My only issue was the balls were very oily and the finger holes were very small. Staff said that’s how they were ordered but offered me a small container of baby powder to use.“

“Stopped on way to VA from NH after driving all night. Needed a quiet place near airport to park and take a short nap. This was the perfect option. Park police building on north side of the island, parked for free on the south end. After the sun came up had some beautiful views of DC across the Potomac. Decided breakfast was needed and to our surprise the Potomac grille was exactly what we had in mind. Menu is limited based on deliveries and support from park services. A very large renovation program for the island is approved and in progress.This park is a very spacious, pretty, quiet and a nice green oasis in the modern of the busy city.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space, indoor and out door seating. Menu choices are limited based on options delivered to Cafe. The entire island has been approved for overhaul so support for services is in a sunset period.

Parking: Plentiful and free until major renovations are completed

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space, restrooms are clean and in good condition at cafe building. Some outdoor public restrooms are still functional.“

“First time back since renovations and wow what a story this place is. It started with the chicken & waffles. The meat was really pink and hard to bite into so I decided to do french toast instead. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️‍🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

“We wanted to try something new. I came fro brunch, but when we were seated the brunch menu was not provided. The waiter took a while so my husband had to get up and get the brunch menus. I asked about the cocktail towers, what he explained was not what I saw later on for other patrons. Had he explained it better my husband and I would've ordered one. Once we finally placed our order the waiters follow up was very poor. We finished our food and the plates were never cleared from the table. Then had to ask go the check and a box for my son's leftovers. The customer service needs some work or the waiters have too many tables I'm not really sure what the issue was.“

“Outstanding restaurant & bar inside the Embassy Suites. First off, their breakfast offering is beyond reproach. Great entrees & service. The dinners are also fantastic. It's a great feeling to have a restaurant in your hotel where you can have a great meal, a few drinks & zero worries. Their breakfast is from 6 am - 9 am on weekdays & 7 am - 10 am on the weekends. They also offer an evening social hour. If you're a guest of Embassy Suites their room service hours are 11 am to 11 pm, everyday including weekends.“
