“Absolutely wonderful Bastille Day wine dinner in participation with Yorktown Sister Cities. Shrimp toast, caprese salad, cheese straws, asparagus soup, scallops or duck, mesclun salad, chocolate tulips all served with a selection of French wines. Excellent service with a beautiful view of the sunset over the York River. Lunch here is also quite nice, especially if you can get a seat outside.“

“We had the fried shrimp with steamed broccoli, which was amazing, and the fried clam strips, which are breaded there. They are delicious!!!!! The rum runners are one of their signature drinks and they are so tasty!!! The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend!!!!!“
“This place has a very sentimental meaning to me. Back in early 2000, I used to come here with my good friends, I met my now husband here, and I love love looove the oyster sandwich (still) and the fried scallop sandwich (seasonal). Heck, the food is great, period! I've never had a bad meal. A bad drink, or received bad service here. The view is gorgeous, and it's great for families because after dinner or lunch, you can walk the waterfront.“
“Stopped here after church and it was busy but we got seated right away. Food was good and atmosphere was nice. It seems a little pricey at first but then you get a generous portion of food. We had the fish and chips, brunch Benedict, rodeo burger and BLT. All great dishes but my favorite was the onion rings!“

“Stopped here for quick lunch. Good selection of seafood with many options ( fried, steamed, etc). Fried shrimp and fish were well prepared. Staff were patient explaining options. One star deducted for charging .25 for cup of water -- neither menu or staff mention that. Really? It's the South, who charges for water??“
“It’s nearly impossible to say enough great things about the egghead diner!!I go there every chance I get.The food is delicious.The service is spectacular.The staff members are some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet.So happy they are on my way to work, and that bridge gives me opportunity to stop in for breakfast sometimes ?“
