“Ordered the deep dish pizza yesterday. I’m from Chicago so I was expecting to be disappointed somewhat. Was I ever wrong! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Thank you a million times over for bringing a bit of my hometown to RVA! Can’t wait for a nice thin crust or maybe a beef - wet. If you’re from Chi you know what that is… Again, thank you.👍🏻🤗“

“Menu choice was consistent as in past visits, however this visit was a bit disappointing overall. Slipping and falling while turning the corner to the restrooms was not how I expected to end the visit. While attempting to get up, noticed entirely too much water left on the floor (same as in restroom), and NO "wet floor" signage placed. I alerted a staff member of what happened and that signage needs to be up. Staff needs to ensure to NOT leave excessive water when mopping and throw up signs.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. We were just driving through Richmond and decided to stop here for a bite. My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. The food is fresh and has exquisite flavor! If I’m ever in Richmond again I will be returning.“

“I waited all week to get a meal from Mama J ! I was very disappointed, my order was wrong no corn muffin ,got cabbage when I order collar greens. Waitress wrote collardgreens on my order but someone didn't read and gave me cabbage. Also gave me a teaspoon of potato salad .I came from Chesterfield to be disappointed. A 40.00 meal 0“

The food is delicious and everything is very clean, even the bathrooms and as a momma I definitely appreciate how clean they keep everything especially the changing table!! “My friends and I had a fantastic time indulging in multiple rounds of Lemon Drop Martinis, along with delicious appetizers like cornbread and wings, followed by a delightful dinner. Our server was exceptional, making the evening even more special as we celebrated my friend's birthday. To our surprise, they treated my friend to a complimentary glass of Prosecco adorned with a birthday candle. We couldn't resist sharing our entrees, which included smoked brisket meatballs, pan-roasted shrimp, and fried catfish, all of which were incredibly tasty. The portions were generous enough for sharing, and the fried catfish was simply the best we've ever tasted, prompting us to order some to take home. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a cozy evening with friends or family!“

“Our server, Susan W, was simply out-of-this-world amazing! Her knowledge of the menu, her perfect service and friendliness were at least 10 out of 10. First time there, went with a friend who knew the place, and it did not disappoint. From the comfortable vibe to creative, perfectly-created and presented dishes, L'Opossum was an experience to remember. Yes, the prices may seem a bit high if you are only looking at the 2-dimensional menu online, but not one millisecond of regret in choosing this gem in Richmond. It has a fourth dimension that cannot be described. You will love it, trust me!“

“I stayed here for a week with work and I found the Bar Restaurant to be perfectly fine. Staff very pleasant and professional. I had either the Caesar Salad with Chicken or Byrd Park Burger with Fries and no complaints. IPA beers also nice. It lacks atmosphere but that's understandable. I was quite happy in my own company after long day at work watching the Basketball on big screen.“

“Decided to treat myself to a Mom break, had a book, a great drink, and a delicious, FRESH and all home made meal. Music was great and the whole atmosphere was just perfect and relaxing. I had the most amazing oysters, and all of the food was AMAZING! Chicken Caesar Salad 🥗 was incredible! Kudos to the Chef(s) and staff!! 🤩🤩🤩 Jamela was my server, and she was not only ridiculously kind and welcoming, but completely knowledgeable about the entire menu, about all the locations, what to recommend and all of the different delicious sauces! She is an absolute gem 💎 . Thank you so much for seeing a tired Mom, and providing a level of GENUINE Service and kindness that I haven’t seen in quite a while. Bless you all! “WOW WOW WOW. I have stumbled upon the BEST barbecue I have ever had. I enjoyed the ribs, pulled pork, Christmas beans, and smash & cheese (5 cheese) macaroni and cheese. Princess enjoyed the brisket. The meats were smoked to perfection. The sides were out of this world. The relish and sauces were superb. For my birthday they gave me a cupcake and hot off the smoker pork belly. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. Soul music was playing as me enjoyed my birthday lunch. The staff was outstanding ... so friendly. I felt like I was eating with family. This is now my go to place for barbecue. Give it a try ... you will not be disappointed.“

“Definitely 5 stars! Me and my daughter went for brunch, a pitcher of Mimosas and the best breakfast I've ever had. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were so good, almost like a she-crab bisque flavor gravy-absolutely wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuit, was also wonderful, the hot honey with the fresh homemade Bisquit was so flavorful. No wait to be seated, the waitstaff was very friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back!“

“I was in Richmond for a few hours, so I decided to try Sugar's Crab Shack. I really didn't have high expectations due to some of the reviews. I am glad that I stopped by because I really enjoyed the food. I had the whiting salad, fried shrimp, and I tried the deviled crab cake. I really enjoyed everything and will be back. The employees were also very friendly and helpful.“

“I ordered the pull pork with coleslaw. My sandwich was packed with seasoned pork bbq and hearty. The flavor of the smoke bbq taste like it was cooked slow in a smoker. First time ordering it from the menu and the combo didn’t disappoint. Cnt wait to order this combo again. Service was fast, young lady on the drive thru was familiar with the menu.“

“I was greeted with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. Everyone was very friendly, and they engaged in conversation with each customer. I ordered pig feet with mac & cheese and cabbage. The food was delicious and the portions were huge! I'll definitely be returning.“
“The food was delicious. Make sure you wait at the front. The hostess caught a bit of an attitude because they had removed their 'Please wait to be seated sign', and I walked in and went to sit down. The breakfast has was gluten free and absolutely scrumptious. Great atmosphere. Good coffee.

“We had an 8:15 reservation and asked if we could be seated when we arrived at 8:05 but the hostess said no, although there were many empty tables. Once we were seated at 8:15 and the order was taken, the server came to our table to say the bar was closing and did we want another drink, altho we had just received our first. When the food arrived, she said the kitchen was closing and did we want dessert although we had not begun our entrees. If the kitchen and bar close at 9:00, there should not be 8:15 seating—especially in a large hotel at holiday time. We felt very rushed.“

“Food was delicous, I got the smoked wings with a side of collard greens. Some of the best wings I have had. I hate big wings and I hate soggy wings. These wings were normal sized and the skin was super crispy with a lot of seasoning on them. When I get them again I will get extra spicy ranch on the side because it was just so yummy.“
