“Most DD are the same and service is ordinary but today’s experience told me that this person deserves a shout out.
Nandani, an employee who stood out from the rest. As I sat there and had my coffee, I observed her positive energy and hospitality from the minute I walked in. It was the same for every single person that walked through the door from customers to delivery people. A contagious smile and willingness to work, welcoming and whether it was serving or sweeping the floor, it was notable. As a business owner, I know that it’s hard to find people these days with such work ethics. DD Oakton is lucky to have her.“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

Cozy little cafe with a friendly vibe. The owner (I think) was kind, and his warm, low voice when calling out names or drinks makes the place even more charming. I also loved the photos on the walls.“

“Ordered the coconut cream cold brew, it is pretty tasty. The station with the napkins, sugars, tops, etc didn't smell good at all, like something was sour. I think it is a bit overpriced for the size of drink you get. Paid $7.15 with nothing added.“

“My husband and I found this little spot while out walking . We purchased coffee, bagels and decided to have a scone apiece. The owner and staff are so sweet and you can tell that they love what they do. It will be a regular spot for us to visit.“

“The moment you walk in, the environment is so welcoming, fresh, and vibey. It's like you know " this is going to be good". Then you are greeted, and the service was just that much better. She was awesome, super friendly and likeable. Didn't have to wait too long for food, clearly it was made fresh to order because when i got it (chicken ceaser wrap with fries) it was AMAZING. the fries were so perfectly crisp and warm, the wrap was balanced, warm, but not too warm because of the lettuce. Cannot rave enough about my experience, and the food. I'm looking forward to when i can make it back for another meal!“

“This is a great idea to bring people closer to the Lord. on top of that. they support local roasters and even have some whole beans in store. Great way to support local within local while being able to pray or do work. very quiet. very welcoming. no one is demanding you to pray to get coffee. it's the most unique coffee shop I've ever been to. the idea. the layout. everything is great. I got a sandwich and some beans. Great spot“

“I only do take out since I’m in college but everytime I have gone in staff have been kind and welcoming. I like that her staff has an eclectic vibe.

I love coffee in general and the food, can be a bit expensive but pretty normal in comparison to Starbucks coffee. I live really close to here and eat here pretty often.
I like how strong the coffee is and the option that I can have lunch food at breakfast if I want.
I love their chicken pesto sandwich and I like that they served this with fruit and not potatoes (which is most often with other breakfast locations).

When we first moved to this area we did meet the owner like many others. She was kind and welcoming when many others have not been.

“This is the classic RTC spot. A go-to for afterschool treats every year starting second grade. The cardamom flavor rocks… There’s almost no reason to go to RTC anymore post-covid and paid parking, but Pitango has stuck around, outlasting Red Velvet, Busara, Big Bowl, Mon Ami Gabi, and even Clyde’s… once it closes I may never return. It’s criminal what Boston Properties has done to Reston Town Center, which for me was more than the center of Reston, it was the center of the world, nay, the universe. Even Pitango’s long-time neighbor The Counter has disappeared. I fear RTC’s Pitango may not be long for this world, would like to return sometime soon. Vintage photos attached“

“This place is a pleasure to visit whether you’re buying a bike or not. You can stop in for a beer and talk with the awesome patrons and knowledgeable staff and browse their extensive inventory. I was looking for a bike for my son to ride with me and get him off the video games. I wanted to get him a bike that he would enjoy and not get tired and the FX e-bike fit the bill. Todd Mater heard my story and said when next week’s shipment came in, he’d hold a bike for me. 3 days later he responded and I went in to check it and another bike out. They were more then happy to set me up with any bike I wanted to test - they are located right on a world class bike trail and I was free to test it out. Mr. Bill Hellwig is an older gentleman with extensive knowledge and shared with me everything he knew from his years of experience in biking and helped guide me in my decision. When I finally settled on what I wanted they made sure everything was adjusted and in perfect order. It was an awesome “new bike day” and they made the process a real pleasure. I highly recommend this bike shop!“

“I have been going to this location for over 1 year because I love Petes coffee, I even purchase Petes coffee for my home. This is a very dirty store. There is always food and trash on the tables and floor. They also need to clean the bathrooms. This hand print has been on the wall for over 1 year.“

“Not sure how to graciously ask this question, but I am usually taken back when I see foodies without prices on their menu. It makes me think those preparing the menu may be arrogant to believe that price means nothing to patrons. Price matters. Are foods and drinks priced too high to be transparent? Are all patrons so well off that price to them really does not matter? I will sometimes pass over a place if they hide their prices, just because there are so many others that do not hide them. The atmosphere just by itself deserves a reluctant visit.“

“If you're looking for a cozy spot that blends authentic Vietnamese flavors with a welcoming atmosphere, this Vietnamese cafe is a must-visit. I ordered a classic Cà Phê Bac Xiu(Vietnamese white coffee) and it was exactly how it should be: smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweet. They also offer unique variations like coconut coffee and egg coffee, both of which are worth a try if you’re feeling adventurous. I tried their bakery as well. The pastries were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Cannot wait to return and try more!“

“Absolutely love, the vibe the music the decor and the coffees are insane. Crème brûlée is definitely a hit. They even use the torch on the top. I have a video attached and pictures. Also got the campfire and it is fire! Highly recommended kind of a weird location so if you see the sign from the street, go to the back of the building and make sure to park.“

Interior makes you think you stepped into a nice hotel lobby, which is steps up from a regular Starbucks and bar! Location is great with tons of parking and near the public library. “Visited the newly opened Tapioca Express in Herndon today. Enjoyed their boba and was surprised they had so many snack options!! Favorites were the shrimp tempura with sweet chili sauce and the fried string beans. They didn’t seem very fried which is good in my book. Nicely seasoned too. Their crispy chicken was also good we were able to choose the spice level and I went with medium which was perfect. The chichi fries were great… love the chichi sauce that comes with it! As for drinks I loved the Mangonada. It was so beautiful and delicious for how hot and humid it was outside. Also enjoyed the honeydew snow bubble and combination yogurt frost which tasted similar to a Greek yogurt parfait with fruit. The staff was very friendly, the space is cute but small more of a to-go and enjoy outside type of place. They do however have a high top table if you’re able to snag it! Definitely coming back to try more of their menu soon!“

“I stopped in for a flat white and it was excellent. Smooth milk, clear espresso flavor, balanced sweetness. It was good enough that I bought a bag of beans to take home.

The shop is cozy and has plenty of options on the menu, but you can tell they focus on doing things correctly. Quality beans, well-dialed espresso, and staff who know their craft.

Easy choice to come back when I am in the area.“

“Not my first time coming to HK Tea House but it was my first time ordering their bubble waffle with fruit. The waffle was fresh, crisp on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside. They put fresh cut strawberries and bananas on top with chocolate and peanut butter drizzles and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Takes about 15 min for them to make it but I felt like that was very reasonable. Tasted great and wasn't too sweet even with all the toppings. Fantastic service as always and I would come back for this dessert!“
