“We were completely and pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. They were a bit understaffed but that seems to be a challenge many restaurants are experiencing. Our server was attentive and friendly. The salmon was delicious, the Wagyu burger as well. The wings were flavorful but not overwhelmingly hot. But the highlight were the French fries. Probably the best we’ve had.“

Jack provided excellent service, a dining room manager came to our table quite often to make sure we were okay and a nice lady employee stopped by to speak to us because our 1 year son got her attention. She said he was so cute and she told us of her 3 year old child. It was nice talking to her.

Jack had our Caesar salad and the kids chicken split in the kitchen and brought out the Caesar salad in separate bowls for my wife and I and brought out the kids chicken on separate plates for our daughters. Our daughters loved the chicken,n French fries and ketchup and ate it all. The Caesar salad was amazing. Jack asked could he bring out the kids chicken plates early, we said yes, and he brought their plates early as requested.

I had blackened salmon and shrimp, gave the shrimp to my wife and she ate it up. My wife ordered New York strip steak, baked potato, sweet potato casserole and brussel sprouts. She ate what she could and boxed up the remaining so we could take it home and eat later for leftovers. She enjoyed the meal.

Jack had ice cream and chocolate syrup brought out for our daughters. They enjoyed it.

Bathroom was nice as well.

In addition, I wanted to give a special shout out to Nicki who is a ray of sunshine and always goes the extra mile to ensure that customers are taken care of. “The Capital Grill in Fairfax is an outstanding restaurant wth excellent food and service. I can't think of a better place to go for special occasions. We were just there last night for my wife's birthday and everthing we ate and drank was exceptional. Our waiter, "Brian", was also the best. We will always ask for him when we go back. “Last time I visited, I had the lamb chops and ribeye, which were both outstanding. This time, I tried the lobster stuffed shrimp (not even on the menu but if you ask, they'll make it, and it's an absolute must), the clam chowder, the Wagyu burger, and finished with a slice of Key Lime Pie. Everything was flavorful and well prepared, though I have to say the Coconut Cream Pie edges out the Key Lime for me in terms of dessert. The service was excellent, and I really appreciate that the staff went out of their way to accommodate a special request like the lobster stuffed shrimp. Overall, another great experience and one of my favorite places to come back to for both the food and hospitality.“

“This is our friend group's go-to place for birthdays. We just celebrated for a fourth time this year. We love our server, Erica, as well as the food and ambience. Seasons 52 always sets up a little chalkboard "Happy Birthday" sign that makes the birthday boy or girl feel special. We'll be back next month!“

“My wife and I love Indian food. We go to a place, try it, and decide whether to come back. Well, we have a new favorite.
Lunch last week at TriState was sublime. We had a biryani, and I still cannot quite find the words to describe the rice. It was tender and a tiny bit chewy, in a great way. It was steamy but light and fluffy. The meat was perfect and mixed through the dish. So, yes, we will return. I have my eye on daal makhani, that spicy buttery bean and lentils dish. Can't wait to try their version. Our friend had peppery chicken--so good! Suggest you go with friends and share so you can try more stuff at the table.“

“Delicious food. We wanted a bite after a hike in the Great Falls area and this sounded like a good place to try. There was plenty of free parking and we were seated immediately upon going in. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, with a very relaxed atmosphere. Everything on the menu looked so good so we started off with some appetizers, both of which were delicious. I loved the Shirazi salad, which was delicious and refreshing. The kashk e bademjoon had a great flavor profile and went wonderfully with the pita bread. For my meal I had the chicken shawarma, which was probably one of the best I’ve had. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, with just a hint of cardamom. My wife had the apple orchard salad, and son the gyro Greek salad. This place is a must-try.“

The ambiance of the restaurant is hard to find in DC. It was quiet enough for a one on one conversation, but energetic enough to make sure that we were not bored. The food was top notch! My stomach hurts because I should have tapped out 15 minutes ago but the food was too good to stop. I'd recommend the Leviathan wine and tomahawk steak. We are big eaters and could not finish our salads and soup, steak, or desserts! My husband highly recommends the French onion soup, Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts. Overall the service, ambiance, food, and staff were wayyyyyy more than we expected. We look forward to patronizing this location again. I wish I had pics, but we ate too fast.“

“Our experience at the Cardinal restaurant was overall good. It's a restaurant inside the Hilton hotel. There is a bar with seating, lounge and restaurant seating. Gladys was our server and she took great care of us, very friendly and fast service. She checked on us several times and gave good recommendations for food. We both had the Santa Fe Chicken salad. It was very tasty and fresh, including tomatoes and avocado. The vodka martinis were good sized and delicious. Prices for food were reasonable. Drinks were more expensive than usual. I would go back.“

We have dined at DV several times for birthdays, anniversary, but are not regulars (senior citizens budget) - most recently at Easter. Have enjoyed every time. We thought Restaurant Week promo made it worth another trip -- but were concerned that since it was a Promo, that it might be Tapas plate portions. NO - it was full Italian dinner with large Caesar salad sides. I had eggplant parmigianno, my spouse had chicken marsala -- a FULL half-chicken . Great creme brulee dessert ! at $ 40 per, we each indulged (normally don't) with a glass of house Pinot Grigio with our dinners. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!“

“The food and wine, especially the wine was very good. The soup was luke-warm if not cool. The bread service was late. The pork belly was good as was the steak. The waiter came around a second time with an extra stuffed potato and said he was giving it to us, put it down on the table and walked away. He then turned around, said he needed to give it to another table, picked it up and walked away. We found that very odd since it had been placed on our table and left there. All in all it was a good dinner, a bit pricey, but if the soup had been warmer or even hot, and the bread delivered at the same time as the soup, it would have been perfect“
