The atmosphere is perfectly moody and the music is good and played there perfect level so that it can be enjoyed but it is still easy to hear conversation with your party. We were there for a birthday and my son's favorite is the marinated Kalbi and it typically always gets cooked last. Seeing that as my son was waiting the server said he would add a note to my reservation for the future so it gets cooked first so my son doesn't have to wait. :) The meat quality was excellent! I would say though since I been to this restaurant several times in the past, the amount of meat per the pre fixe menu definitely has decreased. In any case, excellent service and great meat quality! Being originally from Connecticut, it has been difficult to find really good pizza in Washington DC however over the last few years the options have gotten much better. This pizza joint blows all of them out of the water. To me, their Macharoni Is the best bite of pizza you can get in the entire DMV. It is also really difficult to find a good buffalo chicken pizza in this area, and this one is absolutely phenomenal. They’re dough holds up incredibly well, their pies are always perfectly cooked and never rushed even when they’re busy like some other places, and ingredients are a superb quality and really shine through. I have friends who come to visit once a year from Florida and New Jersey and each year they always request to go back to Bogey and Peele. Their pizzas deliver well with the green ingredients holding up through the delivery process. Their wings are solid and a good choice. The Caesar salad is always perfectly seasoned and dressed and also delivers well. I highly recommend eating there in person, it has such a great vibe, especially when you sit at the Counter in front of the kitchen. Also, don’t sleep on the Reuben.“

“Last night was my husband’s and my first time dining here, and it truly left an impression. One of the first things we loved was the restaurant’s commitment to giving back to the community. As soon as you walk in, there’s a sign explaining how meals are donated to local women’s shelters and how guests and staff can pay it forward by purchasing meals for those in need. Anyone facing a tough time can simply take a ticket from the wall for a prepaid meal such a thoughtful and meaningful concept.

Our server was absolutely phenomenal (I wish I remembered her name! -- She had long red wavy hair). She took the time to walk us through the menu, shared her personal favorites, and recommended several must-try tacos. Let me just say… she did not miss!

Every single bite was bursting with flavor. We tried the birria, Havana, Rus & Gus, and Peruvian chicken tacos, along with the street corn salad and veggies on the side and everything was incredible. From the food to the service to the heart behind the restaurant, this place checks all the boxes.

Safe to say we’ve found a new favorite spot and will absolutely be back.“
