“This is a busy spot. We had great food and fabulous service. Wish we had gotten the young lady's name because she was truly awesome. We had to add a guest at the last minute and the host was not as accommodating as I might have hoped. The restaurant wasn't too busy at an early lunchtime so not sure why he had to make an ugly face. The gazpacho and shrimp salad made up for the strange welcome and the freshly baked berry cobbler was an extraordinary way to finish.“

“The food was wonderful. I ordered the Cheesesteak fries They were good, but I was sorry I didn't get a traditional sandwich. Hubby got the Pizza Steak and I preferred his. The amount of food is phenomenal. We could have split a large sandwich and fries easily BUT hubby managed to eat the 10" all by himself lol. The fries were too much for me. Prices were not ridiculous and the service was friendly. Restaurant was super clean and welcoming.“

“Excellent food and service as always. We have never had a bad meal here, so thought it time to share. The raw oysters and the fried oyster toast were amazing. The Bibb lettuce with pickled asparagus, strawberries and goat cheese salad is 10/10. Their house burger didn't disappoint either. All the cocktails were excellent. Our server Bryan was friendly and did a great job as well, had perfect timing.“

“Was trying to do the survey on line, but it kept telling me it was down, so I'm just going to write a review. Went to Mellow Mushroom for the first time on April 12th and our server was Autumn. She was the best! She had the best personality, very knowledgeable with the menu and very attentive. We loved it so much we returned on April 14th and was very happy to have Autumn again. Thank you Autumn for making my first time a very positive experience. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely go back and hope to have Autumn again.“

“Exquisite local Italian food. Ingredients were so fresh. Had a great and lively environment. Our server, Chip, was amazing. Our drinks never went empty, our table was cleared promptly, and he was very pleasant. We ordered the mozzarella sticks to start, which we thought were just okay. We would have liked more seasoning on the breadcrumbs. The bread was cold. Salads were average. However, the entrees did not disappoint. The lemon butter chicken pasta was divine. Has just the right amount of lemon taste. The 4 cheese tortellini was delicious as well. The sauce was what made the dish so delicious. However, the chicken parm was the star of the show. Everything about it was perfection. Overall, we would come again. Portions were large enough to split and we were still stuffed. We will have to come back for dessert.“

“We had the best time. We love this place. If you are ever in Williamsburg, The Silverhand Meadery is a must stop. Learning about the history of how the honey frome the bees along with fruit and the different spices used to make the meads and honey is amazing. Moondance, ALL Blues, Heat Waves are some of the meads available for tasting. This place is also a great place for you to get to get together with the girls and have a blast.“

“Book with anticipation, I booked with almost 3 months and I was close not to get a reservation. I had a great time. I went for my anniversary and they gifted me a nice card and the musician played us a song that George Washington played for his wife. The food was really good. The menu will give you references from the actual recipes. My husband had Tomas Jefferson champagne and it was really good. We had for dessert Egg Clouds and it was delicious! I highly recommended. The service was excellent and you'll go back in time with the restaurant vibes.“

“We had a fantastic dinner at Opus 9. We were celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary in Williamsburg and decided to splurge a little with a fun night at a higher end steakhouse. We started with an order of the calamari, which was cooked to perfection. The salad with blue cheese dressing was just right. My wife enjoyed a wonderful 8oz filet and I went with an aged New York strip cooked to a perfect medium rare. Dessert was wonderful and a perfect finish to a great dining experience. Our waiter, Fredo, was incredible. He brought the whole evening together for us with outstanding service worthy of a top end steakhouse. He made the evening perfect for us with his excellent attentive service. The experience and ambiance of the evening as a whole was wonderful and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great evening out.“

“Even though it was a rainy Sunday, our party of four really enjoyed our brunch. With a view of the vineyard, we lazily dined on the turkey & brie, BLT, shrimp & grits and eggs benedict with Virginia ham which were all outstanding. We also enjoyed the extended wine tour after the brunch, well worth the time and expense.“

“Stopped in after a tour of Jamestown Colony and it was just great. The food truck had an excellent selection and was super tasty. The beers everyone had were excellent. Some delicious IPAs, and a real good stout as well. Also being on the water just makes this place a perfect stop for a nice lunch and couple beers following a tour.“

“We found this place while on vacation.. We were looking for some Virginia style cuisine and found a treasure.. Our waitress’s were amazing and kind. I accidentally spilled my lemonade on the table and they promptly moved us and wouldn’t let me help clean up my mess.. Food was wonderful and atmosphere was good but our waitress’s were amazing..“

“A gem in Williamsburg! Great breakfast spot with a nice variety, ample parking, very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Lots of regulars and they are welcomed warmly. We had the garden omelet, breakfast burrito, oatmeal and corned beef hash. All were piping hot and delicious. The oatmeal came with ample " fixings" which was great. The booths and tables are very diner-like but perfect. We want to return to try other options.“

“Food and service were both top notch. JJ was our server and he made us feel like we were his only customers. He was friendly, quick, thoughtful, and knowledgeable of the menu. He was able to make great recommendations when we were unsure of what to order. The food was absolutely delicious! We had the special barbacoa bowl, lemon ricotta pancakes, breakfast tacos, Belgian waffle, specialty drinks, and eggs and bacon. Everything was made to perfection. “This place won an award for best customer service however yesterday they must of stayed up all night because they were not on the spot for great customer service.. the welcome greating was "I'm tired of saying Welcome to Moes (at 230 pm.) then when I asked for grilled oinions and no green pepper you would of thought I asked him to grilled me new without peppers.. but he stabbed at the onions (letting out an audible sigh) throwing the oinions around and pepper ending up in the corn. However, the next couple of preparers were extremely nice and made up for the first guy lack of attention and customer service qualities. I told them congratulations for their award and the cashier was extremely proud that I acknowledge their accomplishment.Vegetarian options: You can just about change all menu items to vegetarian by changing the meat out to beans. I changed the stack to beans.“

“Great dinner at Blue Talon. Our meal was delicious - a number of starters which was perfect after our long day. Service was fine. They did everything right. Just not the hospitality that makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Definitely order the clam chowder, truffle fries, beef tartare, and cake dessert. Skip the oysters, they didn't have much flavor, though the relish/salad they were served with were quite good. Had a nice cocktail and a lovely bubbly rose.“

“The gyudon is to die for. I'd even go as far to say, it's some of the best gyudon in the United States. The staff is very kind and welcoming. I'm not local, but I wish I was so I could enjoy their food all the time. Highly recommend.“

The cashier seemed a bit nervous, might have been new, (I hold NO shame here) but rather friendly and polite. According to the receipt he was server WW416.The price seemed a bit high for a sub shop. $51.33 for a super sub + large sub + fries + chips + 2 large drinks (though I did get the fun "souvenir" cups). Added on the standard 15% To Insure Prompt Service ? which apparently means nothing now days but I digress.Now begins the wait ?? with 4 sandwiches made ahead of mine. I got my fries 21 minutes after ordering (they were good, especially since they were simple salted crinkle fries) to which an employee asked if I was still waiting for my sandwich. Wife received her sandwich (Large double Turkey and cheese) 3 minutes later and I finally received my sandwich (Super Wicked) 4 minutes after that. So a lovely 28 minutes for 2 sandwich combos... ?Bare minimum communication with the staff regarding anything aside from just placing my order. What was I expecting...not sure really, just hungry and waiting.Now for the food... ???Wife says hers was good ? I think I spoiled her with my homemade bread the past 2 weeks. Mine on the other hand... Really good! Both had a hint of sourdough aroma (REALLY hope it's supposed to!) which was a nice twist. The meat combination was amazing combined with 3 cheese ? and the special Mt Dew flavor (Vibe) OMG that's good!Overall, I'd like to enjoy another but can't seem to justify driving 30 minutes to spend $50 on 2 sub meals when I have closer options near me. Sorry, but it is just my opinion. If Which Wich was closer.... I'd still have a hard time spending $50 for 2 meals and waiting half an hour.Thanks for the meal, experience, and taste, but sadly I can only recommend to try it, not to keep coming back.And love the twist to ordering. Pick a bag, mark want you want, hand it in to order. If my little one was with us, he would love to draw on a bag and post it on their community wall. “Always a great experience at Anatolia. Greeted by name upon arrival. Requested table was set up for us. I had the lamb shank for the first time very tender. Just fell off the bone. Wife had chicken shawarma which was delicious. I also like they have some Armenian wines to choose from. Nice change of pace. Service was attentive. Never rush you. Just want you to have a nice evening. Will definitely go back.“

“Had a fabulous evening celebrating our anniversary. The food is wonderful, starting with an amuse bouche (a sort of mousse-like watermelon gazpacho) and a terrific assortment of breads, each with its own butter. We both had the roasted oysters (a little on the briny side for me but my husband loved them). For the mains ("premier" course) I went all out and had the Wagyu ribeye (an additional charge) and hubby had the beef short ribs. Fantastic! The desserts were out of this world--do not miss Abby's Confections, an assortment of exquisitely crafted small gems of deliciousness. Hubby had the Hazelnut Ice Cream Torte, which was equally over the top. The menu is prix fixe with option of 3 or 5 courses--3 was plenty of food. We opted for the (very good) wine pairings. You can get great meals at a few other spots in Williamsburg, but what really made this evening stand out was the service--starting with the hostess knowing our name before we said it. Our server, Brian, was outstanding--professional, knowledgeable, and just the right level of friendliness. We were well taken care of by the other waitstaff as well. Very pricy but definitely worth the splurge!“

“My friend and I were blessed with another wonderful meal and experience here yesterday during lunchtime. Our timing was perfect as we were immediately seated and then the crowd rolled in. However, even with the large crowd the attention we received was perfect, as was the food. Our terrific waitress and also the owner checked with us multiple times to see if anything was needed and on how our food tasted to us. All-in-all our visit here was perfect and we look forward to our next visit to Carrot Tree. In between my visits we will very much enjoy the tasty desserts and soup I brought home. Large selection of freshly-baked croissants, quiches, and other pastries complement a broad selection of coffee and bar beverages. “The thought and expertise put into putting this museum together is outstanding. Multi dimensonicial, multi screen video presentations are not to be missed. Great exhibition of artifacts. Start at the first room and progress chronologically. The outside exhibition of the Indian village and Jamestown settlement are supplemented by period costumed, knowledgeable reinactors. Outside, on the water of the replicas of the three ships that brought the settlers to the American shore. All guides answer all your questions. Highlight of my seven day visit.“

Any frequent visitor to Greater Williamsburg is in for a culinary treat; we focused our first few years on Colonial Williamsburg dining, and we still recommend the historical taverns. Dining in the 18th Century setting is provided at the following: * Christiana Campbell's Tavern® * Chowning's Tavern® * King's Arms Tavern® * Shields Tavern® Over the years Chowning's Tavern has evolved to "please families" with a fast food backyard grill. Limited menu and service hear. Caveat: avoid the backyard if desiring an authentic Colonial Dining experience. Please read reviews prior to visiting Colonial Williamsburg. We recommend above stairs dining; servers have had some training. Great tavern ambience. Chowning's Tavern may offer the best economy dining experience. In the 1960's we "discovered" Brunswick Stew, and this is still on the menu; moreover, my wife has added this stew to her offerings in her kitchen. Take care in personal review of colonial dining. Chowning's Tavern may or may not be a best bet for romantic dining. The tariff is appropriate for the fare.“

“I ordered baked goods from Mei twice this summer. She is an absolute angel to work with and she is an AMAZING baker! I cannot wait to try everything she offers. She maintains communication, lets you know when your order is ready, and everything is delicious. 1000/10. The employees are also very kind when you come in to pick up your order!“

“Neighborhood take out and we had a small pizza with peperoni and mushroom. The small was large enough for 3 or a modest 4. Peperoni had a little spice, well sprinkled on the pizza and the mushroom were decent slices as opposed to bits on other competitors. The pizza was well cooked and not burned. We had plenty left over for lunch the next door warming in a frying pan with a touch of olive oil. Will order again for take out.“

“Saved by an Angel This started out to be a lost cause. After driving and walking around for 35-45 minutes (mostly due to Yelp directions) we were not in a great mood when we found the tavern door. We had just rolled into town and weren't in the mood for a dog chase. Once inside we immediately thought this was not the dining establishment we had thought. Scrambled around for a drink or dinner menu for longer than seemed appropriate, but we were finally welcomed and presented with the evening's offerings. Though tempted to walk out unserved, Angel made her way over to our table, and we got a pretty dandy lager. Soon after that we had our grilled chicken masala, which was very tasty. So our long episode ended up being a rewarding treat.“

We got the cheese bread appetizer as well (I don't recall the name) and it was good. Loved the texture. I wish there was more flavor in the cheese or seasonings, but the Marinara sauce was flavorful.“
