“Horrible experience. The descriptions on the menu are inaccurate. I went and had lunch with my 86-year-old mother. We ordered salads. She ordered Cobb salad and I ordered the fried chicken salad, because the description says it's served on a bed of "mixed greens". I hate iceberg lettuce. When my salad came, I ate the fried chicken tenders, but complained, because the salad was nothing but iceberg and romaine lettuce. The young, so-called manager, named TJ, was very rude and unapologetic and told me that lettuce is mixed greens. He told me if I wasn't happy, I could go to cooperate, in which I did. I was truly embarrassed by how I was treated in front of my mom. Update: I spoke to the owner Bob, he was super apologetic and embarrassed at how his employee treated us. He said the menu has been the same way for 30 plus years. We discussed how lettuce and mixed greens are NOT the same thing, and is misleading on the menu. I know after speaking with him that he will do the right thing.“

Food is pretty good but the quality of the tenders tend to vary. Sometimes they're really good, other times they're a little rubbery. Their fry seasoning is pretty elite, and the chicken bacon ranch loaded fries are probably my favorite thing on the menu.“

Well 4 hours later when I got home I lost it all. Kept me all night and still suffering; now I'm thinking the dressing i tasted wasn't as fresh? Or something in the pot pie which I only ate part of it and took rest home. I don't have issues or food allergies either and this doesn't happen to me. But something surely didn't go as planned. 😳“

“This was my first visit. My bartender helped me with my order of a great tasting Imperial Peach Cider along with chicken wraps and fries. Everything was great! I really liked the fries. I'm not a huge fan of thick fries. These fries were cut in a unique way where is was slightly thick on one end and thin and crispy on the other. I'm definitely going back to try more food and drink.“

“I have eaten here for decades. I have never gotten a bad meal or bad service. The patrons here are mostly families and senior citizens...just good folks. This morning one of of those good folks anonymously paid for my meal. I teared up with gratitude. The fact that the person/persons did not want to be identified said a lot about his/her character. It also says a lot about the fact FA attracts Good Folks...not just for food and service but also there is good Karma here.“

“Just had dinner with family after picking our Christmas tree. This is the first place that the waiter (Stephen) came and checked on us frequently, apologized at least 3 times when one of us didn’t get our meal at the same time. Drinks were filled without having to wait or be asked. He was very courteous and had a big smile while waiting on us. I would say the waiter deserves a 10+ for the wonderful experience. Will make another trip for sure!“

“Good afternoon. I’m really not trying to be disrespectful in any way but I’ve been a regular at this location since I moved Roanoke in February 2025. I’ve noticed in the last month that the crowd is really falling off. I’ve also noticed that the AC has been out for about the same length of time. Now you guys thrive on older people who are regulars. Old folks just ain’t gonna do that heat. I also noticed that you guys relined parking lot. Problem is most days is not but a dozen cars in the parking lot. Now my thoughts are if you can’t afford to fix the air conditioner, but you can redo the parking lot. You really don’t care about us old folks. Hopefully you guys can get it resolved soon because I really do like that little restaurant.“

“Me and my mother went to the Red Robin located in Roanoke, Virginia. Our waitress named Bambi or however you spell her name. She got my mother's order wrong after she stated what she wanted twice! She hardly checked on if we needed anything else but checked on other around us. Very very late with serving us. She was off talking to some other man that was sitting not too far with us knowing we needed service. She was also seen by me drinking alcohol and sticking it behind the bar. When she walked by and she smelt like straight alcohol, can't tell what specific but it was just terrible service. I normally have amazing service going there but after today I WILL NOT be going back for a while!! PS: she did not get a tip from either me or my mother.“

“I've been eating at Crown's Chicken for years. As an honest review I will say I do not like the chicken. As others have comnented, it has a tough texture and not a whole lot of flavor. I'm assuming it's under heat lamps for aby amount of time. However, the double cheeseburger is absolute fire. The Gyro is really good too. The fries are always hot and unsalted (though typically the drive through guy asks if I want salt + ketchup on the side. The staff is nice although I really only have interacted with the drive through operator. It's been a pleasant experience. The prices are very competitive. Id rather spend my money here than a national fast food chain.“
