“This restaurant is top 3 lunch/dinner spots in the state. I eat here at least once a week. Food is always prepared perfectly, prices are fair and competitive, and the staff are kind and engaging. I bring my kids also and they have a great kids meal that even my picky toddlers will finish. Recommend the lunch time specials- food portions are large.“

“Recently moved back home after 10 years living on the east coast. This was, hands down, the BEST sushi I have had since leaving Washington. The food is so fresh! I’m normally a tuna person but the Salmon Ladder was UNBELIEVABLY TASTY. Make sure to squeeze the lemon on top! Miso soup was perfect, and the spicy rainbow was so yummy! Even ordering this for delivery was perfect.“

“Chicken so soft it's easy to cut with the plastic fork, seared just enough with the best flavor. That's just the teriyaki. Sweet & Sour reminds me of the old Great Wall off 6th Ave. Noodles were great. Drinks are typical but a definite place to revisit.“

“1st let me say..had food twice, once from order service and other in person. Both times the service and food were great! The manager is very nice and respectful along with the staff. The funny differences from other sushi restaurants are the fact you have to order everything by QR code ( so if you want a mobile device free night..not gonna happen) and your order comes via a robot! Now that I found funny because I kept on despite directions from the “robot waitress” trying to take food from the other shelves until I got used to things. Speaking on getting “used to”..try maybe 1 or 2 times order something small to get used to how the quantities are served. My friend meant to only get 2 of something and ended up with 3 and I had to eat the extra 1 for respect of the dining rules “whatever is left when you are done you must pay for”. Now the “all you can eat” bit. Please understand that the food here is really good and that they offer quite a unique variety of items to try and eat. That is the meaning of the “all you can eat” here. This is not a legit “all you can eat” restaurant . For $30 you are getting way good quality..so do you want good quality or high quantity? In this tight market you can’t really get both. So please be mindful & respectful of this. They do sadly have techniques to let you know when you are reaching “their” maximum..and after much thought…I can respect that. Overall the food, service and everything else was excellent. I ate mostly the sashimi which I thought tasted fresh and buttery when needed to be and when ate rolls I had the rolls that were cooked and those were handled expertly. My friends had the coconut shrimp which was the favorite for them and such like items. One said the ribs were tough and the fried rice was too hard. Overall I will return and be more “menu venturing “ knowing that there is actually a limit. Again..out of respect, please respect quality over quantity.“

“Stopped by for a weekend dinner with family. Pleasantly surprised by the variety of menus and friendly staff. All the food was generous portions and also tasty. All meat dishes were cooked right without overcooking and dryness. The sauteed Chinese menu had the unique wok cooked open flame taste. Highly recommend for a quick dine out option.“

“Located in a food hall with street parking. No AC so in the summer it can get a little warm inside. The food was fantastic with great portions. One of the best pad Thai I had since moving to Washington. Not too sweet, tangy, spicy. Husband had the fried garlic chicken I believe and he said that was fantastic as well. Owner (I think) was super sweet and asked us how we liked her food afterwards. Highly recommend! If we didn’t live so far we would be here more often.“

“As someone from Hawaii who’s accustomed to Michelin-rated Japanese cuisine, I have high standards when it comes to sushi—and Sake Sushi & Grill absolutely delivered! I ordered the Chirashi (Sashimi Salad), and my husband had the Sushi Bento. Both dishes were outstanding. The sushi rice was a standout—perfectly cooked and seasoned, which is rare to find even at well-known spots. The selection of sashimi was exceptionally fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. You could taste the care and quality in every bite. My husband couldn’t stop raving about his Sushi Bento dinner, and we both agreed: Sake Sushi & Grill has officially become our new favorite. If I could give it a Michelin rating, I would—hands down. We can’t wait to return!“

“I've been to many sushi places in the Tacoma/Seattle area and Fujiya certainly stands out as one the best. I can really only speak to the nigiri, but it is always fresh, melt in your mouth tender and generous slices of fish. So good! I want to go back just talking about it!“

“The young man working there was very friendly and helpful. The food came out fast and was delicious. I got the spicy pork and it's perfect. Hot enough to make you sweat, but not regret. The portion could serve two people, so if your partner likes the same food it becomes very cheap. I plan to go again.“

“I've placed an order for pickup 3 times in the last 2 weeks, each time for Broccoli Beef & an order of Gyoza. I'm giving the food 4 stars instead of 5 simply because each time the broccoli is raw. I don't mind a little crisp to the veggies, but the broccoli is simply raw. Other than that, the food is amazing. Kinda spendy but generous portions help make it worth it. 2 min from home, tastes great, always hot, but gotta knock the star for the raw broccoli each time. If they fix that minor issue and cook it just a couple min longer, I'll give it 5 stars when that happens.“

“I have been dining here for over a decade, and every time, the food is just as amazing as the first time I had it. Teriyaki portions are bigger than you think, and if you dine in, they'll start you off with some egg drop soup! Friendly service, and a tv with movies to distract you“

“A gem in the middle of a strip mall. We stoped in spontaneously after shopping and were happy to see vegetarian options. Their tofu teriyaki dish was generously portioned and very tasty! As was the tofu fried rice dish. Also very flavorful and plentiful. The egg soup and hot tea were welcome on a cold rainy day. Atmosphere was welcoming. Clean tables and surroundings, and friendly service. Will come back!“

“DO NOT RECOMMEND It's what I pushed and then all the sudden it said I recommend it no I don't I went in today to go get my Beef Teriyaki with fried rice I paid extra for the rice. I ended up not getting a sauce for my fried rice so I asked for one. I showed the girl that I didn't get one and she was rude to me in front of all the customers saying that it doesn't come with 1. Trying to charge me $1 so I'm confused that not only did I just pay 12.49 plus 1.99 for some rice and you want to charge me for a sauce. She slammed down 2 sauces and said "next time I'm charging you". I took 1 to my table and said you know what I'll put it back because I ordered a side of fried rice and will give my mom mine. Shes slamming the ice around etc... Also I had bean sprouts in my food a few weeks ago when I asked for none in 3 of my meals. I didn't complain. I did have 2 complaints from the past about sweet and sour chicken being hard it was all like bone cartridges. If you complain one time the rest of the time on they treat you like crap. I'm done with going here I've had enough of thier bs.“

“Been coming here for some time and have had a positive experience every time.
Enrique always has a smile and a positive Attitude.
Good luck on finding a whole meal for $10 anywhere let alone finding one that taste Good and is so filling . Big portions .
I got the lunch special Chicken beef/ teriyaki
It came with a nice portion of rice and fresh salad. My wife ordered the chicken and gyoza meal that was delicious!
They have only raised their prices One time that I am aware of in the last few years even thru covid and it was not extreme like most of the other restaurants.
I would say i would have raised them more myself.
I fed my wife and myself for $25
Good luck i'm finding that anywhere“

“Okay Teryaki, but too much sauce on my teriyaki, sauce is a bit too strong and way too sweet, and salad sauce container on top of the food ,kinda unsanitary :/ , this place use to be better, so I may come back next year to see if any improvement.“

“Via Uber Eats I had the extra Chicken Teriyaki, sauce on the side, extra Schrimp, Veggies and Chicken fried rice! Was plentiful and good! Would have been 5 stars if Chicken and Schrimp were less quantity but chunkier/bigger pieces but I understand and still a good value!“

“Huge portions! Truly yummy! Loved the spring rolls --though ham and shrimp on them was unexpected. Great sauce! Also had meatball pho (so good!) and teriyaki, but one of our group thought chicken was overcooked and tough. Don't discount the place for being in a shared parking lot with a 76 has station and laundromat. We were very pleasantly surprised.“

“Got take out: honey garlic chicken was really yummy. I also got a poke bowl. I think tasted delicious, fresh and filling (:
We also received a free golden California roll from ordering exclusively online. Personally wouldn’t recommend that one but other than that love that this place is open late, fast and pretty reasonable prices in today’s economy.“

“My family and I have been coming to this place for years the owner is very nice, friendly and welcoming but last few visits we went the waiters weren’t half as friendly as the owner. we felt rushed as they would start cleaning our table as we were still eating and the waiter told my wife she was wrong as she was given the wrong food. the food was great as always but the service wasn’t as friendly and hospitable as it use to be which is shame as this is a favorite place of mine“

“Solid teriyaki that's actually consistent in Tacoma. The food is what you would expect at a teriyaki joint, and the portions are good. Casual, welcoming vibe and consistently great quality wise. One of the best teriyaki spots in Tacoma. Highly recommend!“

“The food here is amazing, such an almost hidden gem. Owner at the front is very nice and whips up the food so fast. 15 minutes and I'm eating more than I can usually handle but its oh so yummy. Kids had the Pho and 10/10 would recommend; we had chicken teriyaki and have had some of the other teriyakis and they are all good 🤤🤤“

“This place is hands down one of the best teriyaki spots I’ve ever been to. The chicken is always juicy, tender, and perfectly glazed with that sweet-and-savory sauce that hits every time. The portions are generous, the rice is fluffy, the salad is fresh with just the right amount of crunch.“

“I want to preface this by saying it was an Uber Eats order, so my expectations were not very high. That said, whoever made my order on November 27, 2025 around 8 p.m. absolutely nailed it. This was hands down the best spicy chicken ramen I have had in the Tacoma/Puyallup area.
I ate every single bite. I was completely full, but I truly could not stop. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the chicken was so tasty. Everything about this order exceeded my expectations. Thank you for such an amazing meal. I will definitely be ordering again.“

“We stayed at Marriott courtyard but chose to come over to the Great Room for an evening snacks and drink after my work at 9ish pm because we thought they might have better option. We were not disappointed. We came on a mid week (can’t remember if it was Wednesday or Thursday night sept 24/25) and met a very cheerful staff. Her name is probably Hannah (according to the front desk). We ordered chicken wings and clam chowder and cocktails. The drinks came quickly and so did our food. The chicken wing was soooo good ! We asked for the sauce to be on the side and the meat was well marinated and juicy. The soup was also tasty with generous serving of clams. Hannah was attentive and chatted with us. I love her bubbly personality and her smiles. We were back on Saturday 9/27 before our dinner reservation at the koi because of Hannah’s great service. We were helped by a male colleague as Hannah was busy . He too was very thoughtful. He brought our drinks swiftly with a check since we may be paged by Koi restaurant anytime soon. I just wanted to compliment this crew for making our dunning experience so memorable because of your thoughtfulness, attention to details and wonderful service.“
