“The Velas run an outstanding operation here. The food is always excellent, the portions are huge, everything is fresh, and it's consistent with each visit. They are so nice and friendly. The kindness and love they show you is cooked into the food as well. Authentic Mexican cuisine through and through. Once in a while I'll get the hot dog or burger, because its better from there than when I go to actual hot dog and burger spots. This spot just doesn't disappoint. We have a little event coming up and we're going to have them cater it because we know it will be a hit. We're excited to have them all to ourselves for the day 😁“

“I happened upon this food truck by luck. I had never tried Somalia cuisine before, and was curious First I was greated by friendly smiling faces that made me feel immediately welcomed. They handed me a menu, with pictures, that I could look at without staring at the menu board. I decided on a Sambusa as an appetizer because it looked and sounded like a Samosa. My entree was a Bariis chicken bowl with a side salad. It was fabulous! The Sambusa was shaped like a Samosa, but different. The pastry was delicate like a puff pastry and the filling was simple lean ground beef, served with mild or spicy dipping sauce. The Bariis chicken bowl was flavorful, fresh and full of flavor. Perfectly balanced. I will look for this food truck again.“

“This is by far the best taco truck I’ve ever eaten at!!! There are so many options, especially for vegetarians- their veggie tacos and mulitas are so delicious and flavorful! Normally it can be hard to find a taco truck with a truly delicious veggie taco, but this truck seasons their veggies really nicely and has a full blend of potatoes, mushroom, onions, and bell peppers that make the tacos super filling and SO tasty!!! Their salsas are also really yummy. I highly recommend paying a visit here!! Very vegetarian / vegan friendly and so worth it!“

“Excellent stuff! Got a chance to chat with Chase and David before a game a couple of weeks back and was blown away by the attention to detail and the quality. Stopped by expecting an unremarkable bite before an M's game and legitimately found my new go to spot when I'm in the area. Noticeably fresh ingredients and quality product. First time in awhile I haven't felt ripped off trying out a new spot and the service was notably excellent as well. I'll be at a few more games before the end of the season and we've already made plans to stop by because of how positive an experience it was.“

“An absolute must try for anyone who even vaguely enjoys mexican food. I get an adobada burrito with a diet coke every tuesday for lunch and it is a highlight of my week. The burrito is imo the best ive ever had, and i used to live in LA! The tortilla, the quality and ratio of the fillings, the delicious meat, it all comes together to create an experience that cheers me up for the rest of the day no matter how rough the morning was. The staff of course are polite and professional and the service is always quick, definitely deserving of a hefty tip. The sitting area is clean, comfortable, indoors, and with enough space that ive never had to wait for a table. Quality control is top notch, with every burrito coming out the same every time ive ordered. If there ever was a perfect food truck, this is it. I know im glazing them so hard it might sound like this is a fake review, but i promise that im a real person with high standards for my burritos at that, check my other google reviews if you dont believe me. Overall 5/5, if this place closes i WILL cry“

“This place is the best! The food is truly excellent—we had a quesadilla with lengua and a burrito with Al pastor, and both were great. The lengua was super tender and delicious and the Al pastor was perfectly seasoned. The proprietors are lovely and happy to let us practice our Spanish! 😃“

“This stand is definitely worth a try! I ordered the al pastor and tripas tacos. I loved how they gave cucumber, grilled onion, grilled pepper and pineapples. They did not disappoint and were so good. The staff was super nice and even gave me a complimentary asada taco while I waited. They’ve got bench seating and a salsa bar too. “Best taco truck chicken around. Good taco chicken is a lacking skill in the PNW. This place knocks it out of the park with well flavored, juicy, tender, shredded chicken. I’ve tried almost all the meats here and the chicken is on top. Burritos are rocking with default bonus accoutrements stuffed inside like FRESH avocado and pickled jalapeños. Available side salsa are meh, but completely unnecessary, tacos and burritos are great as-is. Taco meat ranking IMO: Pollo, Carnitas, cabeza, leguna, asada, al pastor.“

“Today, I had my long time favorite, the purple falafel wrap, at the Ballard farmers market after almost two years and it was just as yummy as I remember it… they make the best falafels in the greater seattle area… crispy outside, moist and cooked inside… and that lovely purple slaw 😋. “I ordered 2 tamales, one red one green, a mesquite, and chicken nachos. By far my favorite nachos, the chips are homemade and were fresh. The chicken had good flavor and seasonings. The tamales taste like the kind my Mom and Tias used to make and had good flavor. The mesquite was prepared very well, a good sized portion and again tasted authentic. I would recommend and can't wait to eat there again.“

“Went there to support my friends band that was playing there. I ordered a Jamison Manhattan. It was one of the skimpiest pours I've seen but that wasn't an issue. When I asked the price $28!!! That's twice the price of the Space Needle let alone a Des Moines dive bar.

Edit: Heard from one of the band members that the insane prices had been adjusted. I made a return visit and the prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was quaint and comfortable and the music was great. I plan to return.“

“Delicious! Perfect amount of natural smoke flavor on the brisket and the BBQ sauce was well balanced with a touch of spice. So much meat I used a fork before eating it as a sandwich. Service was fun, lighthearted, friendly. I will definitely go back!“
