“We had lunch at Cedar & Elm a few months ago and had a great experience. But Christmas lunch today was a major disappointment. The website said “choose from either our five-course tasting menu or our regular menu”. We arrived for our 1:30 reservation, were seated late and then told only the brunch menu was available. :(“

Excellent and knowledgeable staff can make recommendations from the ever-changing menu based on your tastes, and it's easy to have almost any dish modified to be vegetarian or vegan. Perusing the tasting notes on the wine wall is a nice way to pass the time - great prices on the take-home bottles. If you're on a budget (and I usually am), grab a snack or two. Otherwise, try a little of everything!“

“Do yourself a favor — EAT AT LOTUS POND. (1) Carpool to Lotus Pond. The more the merrier. (2) Appetizers: You can’t lose. Everything is good. Me? I eat the Imperial Rolls. Get two orders of the egg rolls aka Imperial Rolls — one order won’t be enough for 2 people. Start there, you’ll be very happy. Also order the pork belly on the skewers please, No regrets. It’s very good. (3) Noodle Soups. Every bowl Is a winner. Pho is great, no question there. However, you absolutely must eat the SEAFOOD with special Red Noodle. (4) Early enough during the day, drink the Viet Ice Coffee. (5) Too bad they don’t have enough staff/hands to make the BANH CUON but they make up for it in many ways. Try everything on the menu. I’m not a relative. I don’t get money or fame for recommending Lotus Pond. I just know authentic good food when I see and eat it. Try it. You will leave with a full, joyous stomach … you will be very satisfied. Happy eating!“

We were one of their first guests in those early days and eat here so much the owners know me by name! If I were qualified to give food awards, this place would win my 2024 Best of Seattle award! 🥇👏🏻✨ Ps. They do not accept reservations - it’s first come first serve. Around 6pm, they go on a waitlist and a line starts to form outside. Don’t bother calling to get on the waitlist - they won’t even do that for me! You have to show up in person to get on the list.“

“I was in town for a special event, I haven't been here before and was amazed with every aspect of my experience. our server Charles was utterly fabulous. he was very knowledgeable, thoughtful and prompt. he made it feel like we were old friends. the steaks were perfectly cooked. I am 4 and 1/2 years sober, and to go out and enjoy an exquisite meal and only drink water can be a drag, but you all had an amazing selection of mocktails, my partners and I enjoyed immensely. I took the time to thank Charles for everything and got to meet Justin, letting him know how wonderful everything was. this will definitely be a regular stop anytime I visit.“

This was one of the better meals I’ve ever had, happy hour gets you a $1.50 off select items and drinks.

Garlic green beans (best I’ve ever had)
Chicken karage (excellent, really good sauce)
A lemon salmon roll (can’t remember the name, but also incredible)

“This place is amazing. The ambiance is dark and sexy, the staff is beyond welcoming, and the execution of the dishes is consistently on point. The menu is fun and hits from eclectic to classic. My wife and I have been here twice, and both times they slipped us a thank you dish. Normally we like to try different places, but 2120 is a place we’ll go back to again and again. Cocktails are inventive and complex. I have one gripe, I’d love to see this place expand to an international wine list, cause if they do this well at what they already do, their international wine choices would prob be exceptional. Owen Kotler Selections would be a great fit here. Shout out to Jason the Gm and our server was Will (I believe, sorry homie, strong cocktails blur my memory). The desserts man. It’s like everyone here really loves what they’re doing, and intense scrutiny goes into each dish the comes out of that kitchen. Top restaurant in Seattle for sure. More affordable than most too. “I have been looking for a vegan bakery that can do carrot cake since that is my favorite. I ordered the chocolate cake and the carrot cake and bother were excellent. They are very sweet so the small size cake is enough :) The bakery itself is super cute.“
