The food is absolutely delicious—their fried chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside, easily the best wings I’ve had in Seattle. The stir-fried beef noodles is also incredibly authentic, with perfectly cooked noodles infused with that irresistible wok aroma. The server (Yeong I believe) was super friendly and hospitable beyond what I expected! Perhaps he just liked us or we were a big group but he served us some complementary sides that were delicious. “This review pertains to a private event we booked at Brimmer & Heeltap. The event was for a college in the midwest to meet with alumni in Seattle. Emma was great to work with to plan our event, especially when our registration exceeded our expectations. They allowed us to use the patio as well for a short time until we were ready to be seated for the program. The food suggestions were wonderful and received many compliments from our guests. Dana took care of us during the event and was personable, helpful to our guests and especially great at continuing to be attentive during our program without being a distratction.
It is a little scary to plan an event long-distance with only pictures to decide if the space is a good fit for the event. Emma and the staff were a huge part in its success.“

At Red Mill Burgers we got one of the best Burger we ever had.

The atmosphere was great. The burger was fantastic. The meat is so juicy and full of flavor. The fries are really good also. So crispy.

I got the Double Bacon deluxe with Cheese and fries. And my girlfriend got an Bacon deluxe with cheese.

Would definitely come here again.

“We went to Skal on a Thursday night before catching a show - it wasn’t too busy and there was no wait to order food. It is counter service and they bring food to table.

We ordered a hot dog, cod pop corn and fries, and wings. The hot dog was a skinny foot long, it was very good, the fries were amazing! The wings were boring plain wings, wouldn’t get them again.

The restaurant itself is cool looking, very Viking inspired. Next time we’ll get the huge pretzel!“

“2/12/25 My family and I were trying to go to a different restaurant in the same area that apparently had just closed down ruining our dinner plans. So we stumbled into this place unaware that they technically just closed (hours were wrong on maps). Our order was taken and we were planning on sitting down to eat, we were extremely politely told that they actually closed 5 minutes ago. He just wanted to let us know, but they would still allow us to eat inside. I was horrified since I had worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and I would never walk into a place 30 minutes ago before closing, let alone 5 minutes after closing. Both of the gentlemen behind the counter insisted it was ok, but I requested it to go instead because I refused to make them stay late. The food was fantastic and the two employees went above and beyond to get my family fed. Thank you!!!“

“Stopped in with a friend to play some pinball on Wednesday 8/23/23. Pinball map was pretty accurate regarding pins on location, and the games we played were in good condition, spaced out well, and most had cupholders or tables close by. There were the requisite 40"-50" TVs playing sports set up around the bar, but they were not the center of attention - this isn't a sports bar. There were 4-5 pool tables, and all were busy by the time we left for the Ice Box around 9 PM. Stiff well drinks, a decent selection of beer, etc., and decent prices for the area. I like the square wooden-framed ~25'x25' area around the bar, away from the pinball and pool - it was kind of cozy and they had a corner with a mic set up for...music or karaoke or stand-up, or something else I guess. New owners revamped this place in late 2021 or early 2022, and they kept the dive bar atmosphere, but really cleaned the place up. No yucky smells, and I didn't feel like I had to wash my hands after I left. I know that's not a high bar, but I what I mean was that it was a pleasant and unpretentious place to hang out. Didn't try any food - maybe next time. Sorry, no pictures this time!“
