“The food came out fast, fresh, and full of flavor. Thai chili beef, string beans and toothpick lamb were all delicious. Portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Great spot for a quick, satisfying meal if you’re craving something warm and savory.“

“Tasty. I didn’t look Chinese enough to them therefore no Chinese menu was offered. No biggie but I saw what I wanted to try from other patron’s table. It’s likely called Hakka stir fry. The orange chicken was tasty however dark meat was used, therefore hubs wasn’t completely satisfied. Of course will come back again. Go before busy dinner crowd arrive, between 4-5pm.“

“The food was excellent, and the waitress was very attentive. I had the wonton soup, crispy honey walnut chicken, garlic string beans, and the short ribs. Every dish was very good. If I had to choose a favorite it was probably the honey walnut chicken because it had a very satisfying crispy texture on the outside.“

“Went Monday at 2 PM. No line not busy. I like how you can make your own sauce to go with your meal. You pick your food put it in the bowl, then you pay for it and pick whatever soup base.

“We tried three signature dishes. The fried pork chop was well-done, with the juicy and scripy texture. Best enjoyed with a dip of soy source. The panfried dumplings have a thick skin and a filling with overpowering ginger flavor… The wontons are large and filled to the brim, but skin is also slightly thick. Perhaps that’s the Shanghai style, but if you prefer dumplings with thin skin, this is not the right place for you.“

“I love hot pot and I really love Haidilao! Very attentive service and many options for all your needs whether it’s soup base options, spiciness, veggies, proteins and more. I’m very satisfied and will definitely come back. I’ve never ate hotpot alone always with larger groups but I was in the area and have been craving so I decided to stop by, I will say you definitely get a better “bang for your buck” when you dine in groups! I spent about $110 by myself before too, I ate a solid amount over about 1.5 hours and took some home! You could definitely get that price down ordering one of their lunch combos for 1 person but I wanted two soup bases because I was splurging. Not to mention all there amenities!! A nice fabric apron, I was even offered a phone stand so I didn’t have to use my cup to prop it up, complimentary ice cream, and also disposable toothbrush/paste and mouthwash in the bathroom. Like seriously how sweet and can it get any better? Having said all that I knew what I was getting into price wise, don’t expect a necessarily cheap lunch but it’s worth it to treat yourself every now and then and I am another happy customer of many!

I did also pay about $9 for parking! Not sure if there’s free parking I missed“

“Best wonton noodle soup place in the area. Family owned and managed.

Every time I am here, they are always packed. It will take them a while to get your orders in, to pay, to get their attention in general. Last time, I had to pick up my own soup spoon from the front cashier because there was literally none prepared on the table. I’d recommend going to the cashier directly to pay.

They also offer frozen wonton for you to cook yourself at home.

Overall, I highly recommend the food. Just give them a bit of grace when they’re busy :)“

“Went in with no expectations, and everything was *so* delicious! We ordered the bone marrow beef broth soup with noodles, the beef brisket with rolls, the chicken and veggie stone pot, garlic fried chicken, and the Sichuan green beans (just a tiny, perfect kick). We absolutely destroyed everything. Each dish tasted so homey and comforting — especially on a chilly day.

One thing to note: if you’re expecting quick service, this might not be the place. The kitchen seems to be run by a sweet older grandpa and his assistant, so dishes take a bit of time. But honestly, it was well worth the wait for authentic Chinese food. We’d definitely come back, just probably not during peak hours.“

“I order takeout from here all the time, and I’m obsessed with their red chili oil — especially the diced rabbit and the red-oil dumplings and wontons.

I’ve seen mixed reviews — some say the chili oil is too much, others say it’s not enough. I’m guessing the ‘not enough’ reviews came after people complained it was too much, so maybe the chef adjusted it.

But honestly, it’s simple. If you want it lighter, just ask. If you want real Sichuan flavor like me, ask for extra — they nail it.

“The atmosphere is bare-bones, but clean and friendly. We ordered the large pork belly and short rib combo to split between two people and were not prepared for the absolute feast we received! The sides and dessert were delicious and the main dish tasted like home-cooked comfort food. Tender meats and huge chunks of vegetable in a savory broth really hit the spot on a cold and soggy day. The value for the price can't be beat - it was enough for a large lunch plus dinner the next day for two people. We will be back to try more dishes!“

“Told the owner who was working the counter that I was going through chemotherapy and needed a recommendation on something mild and easy on the stomach. He did a great job picking something out for me, someone who is not an adventurous eater. He chose garlic chicken w/ green beans. Never tried anything like it and I thought it was great! We ordered our usual of: -Vietnamese Sweet & Sour Catfish Soup -Catfish in Clay Pot/Stew -Rice Today we also tried: -Crispy Oysters -Salted Fish Fried Rice -Three Color Dessert -Thai Dessert It wasn't too busy today, we got a table right away for a family of our. The servers were nice and friendly. Our desserts were bought out first, and soon after the main dishes. Our usual dishes is the tasty as usual. Our favorite as a family is the fried oysters. Our young kids liked it best with the sweet sauce (not spicy). The sizing of the oysters are large and it tasted excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful dining night with the whole family. The roasted pigeon was incredibly flavorful, the beef cubes were tender and juicy, and the stir-fried beef rice noodles were perfectly cooked with great wok aroma. “Saukraut fish may sound weird, but it is a stupendous invention and Nai Brother does it excellently. It has a wide variety of soup and fish options and all are really great. Mala spiciness with a combination of veggies, noodles, tofu, etc. Your tongue may be numb but you won’t regret it.

There are also good non-soup options and they also have whole fish dishes that we’re looking forward to trying. Love this place.“

Great vegan options with plenty of fresh veggies, mushrooms and tofu to choose from. It’s very easy to overfill your bowl 😋 The “dry mixed” style options without soup tastes better to me.“

Sorry, it’s the truth. Not that I don’t love DTF, but these guys know dumplings, and noodles, and everything in between!
Any pan-fried dumpling dish is a MUST, and they also do green beans!
And the staff is super nice.

“I have been dining at Teapot for around 25 years, since their early Capitol Hill location. Over time and my evolving tastes and the changing vegan restaurant scene I have only grown more fond of this unique Jem. I was so bummed to hear they were supposed to close at the end of this year due to lease issues. But while visiting family I drove by and saw it open and sure enough their lease is extended for a year (at least). So go check out if you haven’t before, and pay another visit (or many) if you are already a fan. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-26“

“Fantastic food, service is acceptable, aesthetic is unique, very authentic food, maybe to authentic for those unfamiliar. Seeing some of the reviews it sounds like some are expecting it to be akin to panda express, this is not that thankfully. Only drawback is location, there is outdoor seating but the interior is quite compact but not cramped like an airplane or train. 10/10 would recommend based off of service and food quality.“

“I went in semi naive to what was on the menu. Nothing stands out. You order at the counter. Understand that the dishes are larger to feed 2-3 people and their are no sides. Meaning if you like rice with your Asian cuisine it will be extra. Not realizing the size of the dishes I ordered 5 things and 2 sodas and a beer and 2 sides of rice which are small 1 person small and I spent with tip close to 140$+
It is in a strip mall so this is not meant to be fancy. Think small cafeteria style. Of the dishes the on that stood out for me was the chili shrimp. Otherwise pretty generic stuff. Beef had a diffrent texture to it that didn't suit me well. But if your into Asian cuisine make your own opinion. I more then likely won't go back. Quality of food for the money not a win for me.“
