“I’m staying at the hotel just across the street, and I couldn’t resist stopping by this gem! Let me tell you, it was an absolute thrill! I ordered the Chicken & Katsu along with a side of egg rolls, and wow, did it blow me away!
The chicken was cooked to absolute perfection! Instead of drowning in teriyaki sauce, it had this fantastic coating that gave it an incredible sweet teriyaki flavor while keeping it moist and packed with that delicious wok taste.
And the katsu? Oh my goodness! It was breaded to perfection, delivering that legendary Katsu crunch in every single bite! The in-house-made Katsu sauce added just the right touch of sweetness, making it an unbeatable combination.
As for the egg rolls, they were pure bliss! Crispy, crunchy, and bursting with flavor, they absolutely hit the spot!
I can’t recommend this place enough! You have to check it out!“

“Beware! Only gives amazing service & creates excellent dishes!! Husband and I had such a laid back and refined experience, even in the late hours of the evening when most servers are not at their peak of energy, our server Jayson was superb. He made top notch drinks for us, equally skilled at their signature beverages (cocktails and virgin mocktails). Highly recommend!“

“Delicious and friendly. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki and it was delicious. The staff were very kind and brought me cutlery and hot sauce. The restaurant is clean and modern with plenty of seating. If you come at lunch time, there will be many people picking up food or eating inside - it's popular for a reason. I would happily come here again.“

“I got the curry nikutama regular, 1 shrimp tempura, and the spicy fireball paste. Total was $20 which is a bit insane IMO for a fast casual place, but it did taste good. Wouldn't come here all the time but it's good and reliable, just a little expensive
Fireball paste is not too spicy, I added 75% of it and that was perfect for me“

“Shiva provided the best service I’ve ever had at a sushi restaurant. Michael came in to relieve him and made sure we were fully satiated with our meals. Both Shiva and Michael gave us a great conversation and delicious food. Some of the best presented sushi as well. I’ll definitely be back. I would give this a 10⭐️if I could.“

“Visiting Washington and on our Seattle day wanted sushi. Looked at a ton of places on line and saw this set away from downtown with great reviews, gave it a shot.
This was one of the better meals I’ve ever had, happy hour gets you a $1.50 off select items and drinks.
Got the fried pork gyoza (amazing)
Garlic green beans (best I’ve ever had)
Chicken karage (excellent, really good sauce)
A lemon salmon roll (can’t remember the name, but also incredible)
Very reasonably priced, friendly and prompt service, great atmosphere. I can’t say enough to let people fully understand how happy I was with this dinner. Go now!“

“One of my favorite Japanese restaurants (not to mention the oldest in Seattle) and it has never disappointed me. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and warm. It’s a difficult time we are in with the pandemic of 2020, but Maneki has transitioned to take out, which it never did before, and is so organized that it blew my mind when I saw how clearly labeled each item was when I got home. I could easily tell which was part of the teishoku 定食 or “set meal.” Support this small business because it needs us now more than ever. 01 DEC 2020.“

“This is the fastest service for lunch in downtown Seattle. They have delicious food (my favorite is the Radical bowl, with raw salmon and tuna), a variety of options for everyone, and the owners and staff are wonderful. They're so kind and friendly.
The food is always fresh and delicious. I've been going here for 5 years, and the quality has always been good and hasn't changed.“

“This was the evening post Christmas Eve, there isn’t a line at opening time, because people were waiting in their cars for the opening! And I was one of them.
Love the grilled unagi. Good quality and good sauce. Like the udon but after a long day of flight, I only wanted the hot broth!
Love the sake and the flight.
The bartender seems to assume I know nothing about Sake … he presented it wrong and when asked … his answers were also wrong! Nice kid thought!“

“So good!! The onigiri were huge and delicious. We really liked the California and spicy tuna. Agedashi tofu was a delightful surprise too. Lychee iced tea was on the sweet side but also very refreshing. So glad to have visited! The wait for 2 wasn’t bad at all, and there’s a nice outdoor waiting area.“

“absolutely incredible — a perfect balance of indulgence and artistry. The juicy, medium-rare beef slices glisten with tenderness, while the golden tempura shrimp and vegetables add a gorgeous crunch and visual contrast. Every layer seems thoughtfully composed — from the glossy rice base to the vibrant green onions on top. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause just to admire before diving in — rich, satisfying, and full of umami harmony.“

“The Salmon Bara-Chirashi Bento was quite literally the most phenomenal bento box I’ve ever had. The vibe of the restaurant was great, Japanese music, great decoration, and just felt perfect. The flavor of the rice combined with the soy sauce and salmon all summed up the perfect bowl. Totally would try again and recommended to anyone who loves themselves a good taste of Japanese cuisine.“

“Today is my first time ordering here via DoorDash and I am also one of those sushi lover that is very hard to empress with the freshness and quality but i tell you guys, their Chirashi Bow is the bomb!!! It was super fresh, and pretty big portion. Can’t barely finish it. Even their miso soup is perfect too. Not too salty or anything, just so perfect for me. Will definitely order again. Thank you Donburi for making my tummy happy 😊“

“Sooooo yummy, I highly recommend! I was really craving the onigiri that I had in Japan, so I found this place in seattle and am so grateful this place exists! Dedicated gluten free, delicious food (the potato salad is amazing and of course the many different onigiri to choose from), and most importantly the lady (owner?) is always sooo incredibly kind, thoughtful, and very nice (it makes you want to support local businesses because there is so much care in the food and overall experience). If I lived closer, I would regularly go there. Definitely check it out!“

“I’ve been skeptical to try another Teriyaki place as the past couple of ones I’ve been to have been disappointing. I looked at reviews and photos and saw that this spot looked really good so I decided to go here for lunch today. I’m so glad I did, this will be my new go to spot. I came in and ordered Chicken Teriyaki to go, it also came with a free can of soda which was nice. The restaurant was clean and the service was very quick and friendly. The Chicken Teriyaki came with two scoops of rice and a salad. This is the best chicken teriyaki I’ve had in years, the chicken was grilled perfectly, the sauce on the chicken was just right, and the salad was fresh and super crisp. If you’re craving some good Teriyaki like how you once remember it being definitely check out Kim’s Teriyaki you won’t be disappointed.“

“I think the ownership has changed recently and honestly, the food tastes even better now! The chicken is perfectly grilled, the teriyaki sauce is richer and more flavorful, and the portions are still huge. Everything feels fresher and more balanced than before. The new team seems to be doing an amazing job. Definitely my favorite teriyaki spot around! 🍱🔥“

“I wish the teriyaki sauce was thicker and there was more of a char on the chicken but I can't really fault them for that being their style and because the chicken was very moist and tasty. Very reasonably priced, especially the specials. The staff was friendly. The place was clean and had a good, peaceful atmosphere.“

“I’ve been coming here for a while now and it never misses. The food is consistently fresh, portions are generous, and the flavor is exactly what you want when you’re craving solid teriyaki. The chicken is always tender, the sauce is on point—not too sweet, not overpowering—and everything tastes like it was made with care. You can tell they don’t rush the food.
What really keeps me coming back is the consistency. No matter when I order, it’s always good, hot, and filling. It’s one of those spots you can rely on when you want something satisfying without overthinking it. Easily one of my go-to teriyaki places.“

“My long overdue review comes down to 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ words: Best Taiyaki Comfort Food Ever‼️‼️💯🥰😋😍 Need I say more? . Taiyaki, a popular Japanese fish-shaped pastry, has an interesting history rooted in the Edo period's imagawayaki, a round pancake filled with sweet red bean paste. The modern version of taiyaki was invented in 1909 during the Meiji era by Seijirō Kanbei, who owned a sweets shop called Naniwaya in Tokyo . Seeking to create a unique twist on imagawayaki, he used a mold shaped like a sea bream (tai in Japanese), a fish symbolizing good fortune. The delightful combination of its distinctive shape and delicious taste quickly made taiyaki a favorite across Japan, often sold by street vendors and enjoyed at festivals . Over time, taiyaki evolved to include various fillings such as custard, chocolate, cheese, sweet potato, and even savory options, and in BeanFish case, MmmBacon 😍😋🥰, though the iconic fish shape remains. Today, taiyaki has spread globally, becoming a beloved treat in many countries and appreciated for its nostalgic charm and the enjoyable experience of biting into its crispy exterior to reveal a warm, sweet filling!!! 🍥🥮🫘“

“Pleasantly surprised by the teriyaki chicken. The food was delicious in a generous amount.
Ate in the restaurant and the food was brought out to me. Aside from a dark interior (it was already a gloomy day), the food was enjoyable.“

“Truly excellent teriyaki.
Had friends in town who can’t eat gluten, and they wanted whatever I considered Seattles signature dish so I had to find them teriyaki. Called Himitsu and they kindly explained my options (all the teriyaki is gluten free, the fried rice CAN be if you specifically order it gluten free). When I picked up the food they were kind and friendly with a big smile.
The food itself was fantastic. Fried rice was excellent, and the teriyaki is of the less saucy variety. While the chicken didn’t have a lot of sauce it was well marinated and seasoned so it was very juicy and flavorful. Our favorite was the beef. It was thin, tender, and no unpleasant gristle to be found.
Our friends loved it and we now have an option we’d happily recommend to anyone, whether they can have gluten or not!“

“Great food, but was really impressed with the service. The owner asked a few questions about our quick pit stop to get my daughter lunch, and made sure she had exactly what she needed. It wasn't anything than required that level of extra care but I was really happily surprised to get it when I was just expecting normal counter service without the extra touches.
And holy moly. The General Tso's chicken is perfectly crunchy and perfectly flavored. I'm not sure I've had better and I've eaten a lot of General Tso's in my life 🤣 Egg rolls are pretty tasty, too.
Definitely worth swinging by if you're in the area. Truly delicious food and impressively thoughtful service. Hope I have a good excuse to come down soon!“

“Asian Table in Kent is a tasty find! The sushi roll was fresh, with perfect rice and zesty flavors. Teriyaki chicken was juicy, charred just right. Staff’s friendly, making you feel at home. Quirky paper lanterns give it a cozy glow. Only gripe? Portions could be bigger. A solid spot for sushi and Asian bites!“
