“Great food, great portion size, tasted authentic, even got da uncles cooking in the back. If you looking for good hawaiian food, this is the place.Got the Japolo chicken and the Kalbi beef. Tasted great, and the portion sizes are big enough to have leftovers. The mac salad was alright, i think ive had better, but definitely not bad. Just a bit plain. Still good. Will definitely come back to try more.“
“Been twice so far. Had two styles of chicken, both amazing. Teriyaki has a light flavor, but a lot of depth. Rice is flavorful. The mac salad is delicious. Can't wait to try more dishes. Place is clean and has a relaxed atmosphere. Staff is always nice and helpful. Prices are very reasonable for the portions. You'll never leave hungry. 10/10“
“It’s a fun tiki bar in Portland known for its tropical vibe and creative cocktails. With Polynesian-inspired decor and festive drinks served in tiki mugs, it's a popular spot to relax and enjoy a taste of island life. For a first timer it was great! You will not want to leave“
“The best poke in town! A must try!! I love how fresh everything is and their big selection. They give a large portion too and the service is always friendly! I also love that they are using reusable cups, spoons, bowls, but wish that they would consider reusable forks and chopsticks as well.Dietary restrictions: A great place to eat gluten-free. Make sure you tell them at the beginning!“
“Small, cute little shop! Nice selection of drinks and Onigiri, my kids loved them. The only thing I didn’t really like was that each Onigiri was wrapped in plastic wrap and kept warm like that; I think it would be better to wrap in food safe paper and foil so the possibility of plastic particles getting into the food is lessened.“
“Can’t hate on a busy business with a good atmosphere, great food, and quality service. This new location was very busy but they got our food out in under fifteen minutes. Line was to the door. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends.“
“Came from Seattle for shopping. This was our last place before heading back. Was a great place to dine in. Small amount of tables for customers, but was setting available at 7pm Saturday.Place was had many customers come in and out for to go orders. Had live music, and was told they have this Wednesdays and Saturdays. Not sure what time.Food was great. 808 fried chicken is highly recommended. And macaroni salad was very tasty. If you like that, order a extra side of it.Would definitely go back when I make another trip to Portland. Aloha.Parking: Plenty of parking not to worry about.“
“I purchased lunch for my team at work and every one of us couldn’t get enough. To quote one person “it’s like a flavor party in my mouth!” Is an understatement. All of the flavors were perfectly paired, and not overpowering with one or the other. I can’t wait to get more!“
“Ate Oh Ate has some amazing Hawaiian food. On our first visit we ordered the tofu teriyaki plate with salad and the shoyu chicken plate with macaroni salad and rice. This place did not disappoint. The tofu was super firm and well marinated in a very tasty teriyaki sauce. The shoyu chicken was also very good and the macaroni salad is super bomb. They also have a lime ginger hot sauce that really compliments the sauces they use on the meat and tofu. They serve a Mai Tai which cannot be beat in this town. The staff is attentive and friendly and our family has a had a great experience the two times we have been here. Cannot wait to come back try other options on the menu.“
“Oregon’s first Kava bar! Both the Portland and Vancouver locations offer a chill vibe with various comfy seating areas. The decor is authentic and honors the South Pacific culture without being kitschy. The Portland location features reclaimed wood from Indonesia. The Washington location boasts a stunning living wall. The kava is prepared traditionally and served in a coconut shell. The owner has spent a lot of time in the South Pacific personally meeting with his growers. And no distractions like tv screens or pool tables like an actual bar. Instead they offer things like board games and a guitar if you are lucky enough to play. There is a real sense of community in both locations with fun activities monthly at each location. I also like that they have chosen not to also serve Kratom out of respect for the ceremonial history of kava. It’s an experience!“
“We stopped off at SeaSweets on a recent trip to Portland and hands down, they make the best poke bowls I've ever had. I am not easily impressed when it comes to seafood bowls, but SeaSweets has a very pleasant staff serving really high quality fish, delicious sauces, and toppings for days. Absolutely phenomenal.“
“Tucked into the food cartel in Beaverton, this spot stood out from the SMELL. I had the Garlic Chicken, a special of the day, and my mouth was watering even before I took a bite. The dish was well made, full of garlicky, sweet, and salty flavors. I'm giving it 4 stars because I thought it was a tad bit too salty, to a point that it was almost bitter. Another qualm is that I wish there were combination plates available :( but I do understand why they don't allow combination plates.“
“Omg such an innovative food cart! I love the fusion of Hawaiian and Portuguese flavors. Wil is a delight and his food is always hot and freshly made. The sausage and eggs are spectacular and the kalua pork is not to be missed! Grab yourself a mixed plate for here and a musubi to go!“
“This is my favorite place to get Hawaiian Food. The teriyaki chicken is excellent and the portions are huge. The Kalua Pig (shredded Pork) is a bit salty for my taste, but my kids love it.The staff is always incredibly friendly and create a great vibe.Parking: There is no parking lot but plenty of street parking on Sandy.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space inside the restaurant. They have lots of Aloha themed children’s books to keep kids occupied while they wait for the food. And the wait for the food is typically pretty short.“
“I’ve been eating here, 15 years, maybe even longer who knows but I’ve only had like Five problems One time I didn’t get the extra macaroni that I wanted another time I didn’t get the extra Sauces I paid for that I wantedAnd I do eat here a lot I get the same thing if not more every time I usually get two large dishes for myself and one for my woman she as well has eaten here that long as well born in Oregon This was the first time we got our dishes with no sauces you know that delicious Noho’s teriyaki sauce.. Don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t cooked literally off the grill but no sauces they always top it off with all the teriyaki sauce they’re homemade teriyaki sauce, which makes it delicious. Alex, the manager at the time that I did not know gave me five sauces. I got home open it up found out that my meat had no sauce and only the sauce that they gave me was the five packs that was gonna do me nothing I go through a lot of sauce I always pay extra for sauce because it’s so delicious and I would’ve paid extra if I would’ve known I got dried meat but sure I brought it back. They made me too brand dishes lots of sauce, they even gave me a full bottle brand new, not open bottle of their homemade sauce, and everything was made us even came Mac salad because that’s my favorite too thank you Alex put it in the dishes and making it right“
“Moved here in 2009, been coming here since then and I haven't grown tired of this place yet. When nothing else sounds good this place always does the trick! Especially Love the chicken with sweet chili sauce and the tri-tip with teriyaki sauce.“
“Amazing catering experience. Super great Hawaiian cuisine and the delivery & set up(customer service) was exceptional. BTW, the sauces are super good! If your looking to host a party, don’t miss out on what the Local Grind has to offer.“
“I previously tried the Sensei at Signature Bowls and found it delicious, so this time I opted for the Spicy Salmon Don. It was also very flavorful and filling. They also offer the option to Build Your Own, so next time I plan to try that with a variety of toppings.??“
“The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star in the service and atmosphere is due to the fact that the lady behind the counter had a really bad attitude and even after leaving a 5$ tip when i was just buying two drinks she still was short and sour with me and rushing me. I get people having a bad day but come on.Parking: Right outside the strip mall its in and there is more then enough parking even on busy daysWheelchair accessibility: My boyfriend just said yes to this answer but didn't really tell me why. So I'm sorry for the little info but there is wheelchair accessibility.“
“The second oldest tiki bar in the United States and well worth the trip to visit. Amazing decor, many of which are legitimate antiques. Outstanding food and drink menu. Try the kalbi beef ribs, they are some of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to come back.“
“I ordered the Kalua Pork and my girlfriend had the Katsu Chicken. Very hearty meals for a fair price. Owner is very friendly and happy to talk us through the different options available. Covered dining area with heaters nearby which is ideal for a cold March lunch.“
“I have only been to the Beaverton location and was excited to learn that there was another closer to me. I love their bowls so much. The only difference between the two spots is that Beaverton has a seared Albacore and this location doesn't. I still loved the raw tuna, but would love it if they also got the seared tuna. Friendly service!“
“We just ordered thru Uber Eats. The food was wonderful, the shoyu chicken was the favorite at the table! All of the food was very good, we will order again! recommend: shoyu chicken, kalua pig, teri chicken, garlic chicken, kali ribs, yaki noodles, spam musubi“
“Da Hui was one of the few places open during this last icy storm. Our power went out, so this we awesome! We get there the place is nice and warm. The service was unbelievably friendly and fast. The food was delicious!! We'll definitely be back again!Dietary restrictions: There are wonderful gastric sleeve surgery options.“
“A real gem in the university district! Having been to Hawaii and eaten authentic plate lunch I can assure you the other reviews are incorrect. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The food is prepared well, tastes excellent and is priced very reasonably for the large portions. Something hard to find in the area. Another rarity is the owners take the time to get to know their customers. You can expect to be asked if you want "the usual" if you dine more than a few times. It is refreshing to see hard working small business owners still making it work.“
“Vegan options! and the mac salad is "accidentally" vegan! The first time I went it was absolutely incredible, talked about it for weeks. The 2nd time I went everything was a little on the bland side, so YEMV, tons of potential tho, I'll be back.“
“The loco moco is to die for here! Its a nice spot to the interior is really nicely done and the service is amazing. They are super friendly. This is what I've been looking for since getting back from Hawaii. Id recommended this place over 808grind any day!“
“Great fun food choices for an easy brunch before an event nearby. Name on table was a nice touch with our reservations. Easy casual space with upgraded food choices and nice touches. Would visit again. Our group had the benedict, teri burger, combo plate (ribs were great!), masubi and bibimbap bowl. All delicious.“
“I want to do a long positive review so will add more later.Great!!!Parking: The building is in the middle of an enormous parking lot so it's literally surrounded by plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from the parking lot. No steps. Restroom no steps, large, door a little narrow“
“Always the best food. Their garlic chicken is amazing. But my favorite is their pulled pork. I would swear by it.Dietary restrictions: All organic.Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly optionsWheelchair accessibility: Food truck. They're super helpful.“
