The chicken was cooked perfect over rice. Their teriyaki sauce was great. The mac salad tasted home made. This place was better than Hula Boy. Best Hawaiian food I’ve had in Vancouver.“

“Absolutely delicious! I tried the most popular item on the menu, the teriyaki chicken, and it did not disappoint. It was served with generous portions of macaroni and rice—just a heads up, the portions are quite large! You can choose from small, regular, or large servings, so there’s an option for everyone’s appetite.“

“Man it’s awesome to have a great Hawaiian cart in the area again. I especially appreciate the indo-Asian dishes like the kimchi fried rice. Those cucumbers, I’m afraid to order the large size because I think I would eat them all in one sitting. The Hawaiian fare (shoyu chicken, kalua pork, Mac salad etc) is all spot on too, or I wouldn’t be writing this. Wish it was open more hours…but good enough that we work around that.

Parking: Small lot on the actual property. Street parking in the neighborhood or ride your bike in warmer months.

“808 Grinds catered for a wedding I coordinated a few weeks ago and they did a phenomenal job. Set up was prompt, staff was friendly and professional, and the food was AMAZING! I cannot wait to work with them again for another couple's wedding this summer! Highly recommend.“

“Love Fresh Fish Poke! My husband and I have been going to this food cart for a while now and it’s always delicious! The portions are great and the flavor is amazing! We drive out to Beaverton just for it.

“A real gem in the university district! Having been to Hawaii and eaten authentic plate lunch I can assure you the other reviews are incorrect. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The food is prepared well, tastes excellent and is priced very reasonably for the large portions. Something hard to find in the area. Another rarity is the owners take the time to get to know their customers. You can expect to be asked if you want "the usual" if you dine more than a few times. It is refreshing to see hard working small business owners still making it work.“

“I happened to end up here for lunch when I was having a particularly bad day. Thanks to the super sweet gal behind the counter and delicious meal, this place really cheered me up! I love the wide array of options and all the fish and veggies I got tasted so good and fresh. The complimentary miso soup was much appreciated as well! The only thing I think could be better is the rice - the white rice I got was pretty dry. A well seasoned sticky sushi rice would make this already great meal perfect.

“It’s a fun vibe for sure. The seating isn’t the best for groups of 4 or more people but if you’re lucky enough to find a limited table for your group size, then the vibe is pretty laid back. The food was okay, some things were great and others average. The drink menu is fantastic of your a fan of tropical rum drinks. I mean if you’re not, you’re probably not stopping in here anyway. Haha“

“This a great place if you love Hawaiian food. Everything I've had so far is really good. The Mac Salad is a must eat. Their teryaki sauce is really good for dipping. The Hula Boy burger is a half pound hamburger with pineapple. I dip the burger in teryaki sauce, and it's good. Definitely 5/5 in my opinion.“

“I was looking for a place to pick up an onigiri in the morning from time to time, and this place opens at 9am which is great! Really cute shop, they have taiyaki, musubi, and a nice variety of onigiri, and it is affordable and exactly what you want. There is really nothing quite like this in the Portland area...its a little treasure. The staff are so friendly, i will be sure to recommend this place to all my passengers, friends, and family!“

“Roxy’s is the closest to authentic Hawaiian comfort food in the area. I love their food and have been eating out for years and their service is incredible!! “In spite of the snowy weather, we are so glad we kept our Valentines Day reservation. The staff had gone all out to make the evening a special VD celebration! The food was delicious and came out beautifully served. Our cocktails were terrific too. Our server was helpful and friendly, and provided great service even on this busy night. “Wife and I visited our daughter and family in Portland,Oregon and we were happy to see that they had a L&L Drive In nearby in Beaverton. We went early and were the first customer that morning. The Hawaiian combination laulau and kalua pig plate and chicken Katsu plate was excellent, large portions and reasonable prices. Thank you L&L counter girls and cook!

“Just as long as you get thier early and you can find a seat, it's a lot better of an experience. Their food is fantastic! And even if you come later, you can scope out ppl leading tables. It's kinda fun, like going to battle. Their is also an outside smoking area where you can bring drinks.

“I have only been to the Beaverton location and was excited to learn that there was another closer to me. I love their bowls so much. The only difference between the two spots is that Beaverton has a seared Albacore and this location doesn't. I still loved the raw tuna, but would love it if they also got the seared tuna. Friendly service!“

“5 stars because I had a great time, food was amazing and cheap, and I just love a neighborhood dive where I can chill out and get a big fat tiki cocktail. I’ll be back for sure.

I do have to mention though, the service was quick but super rude. The bartender the night we visited a couple weeks back was easily of the least friendly bartenders I’ve ever had, which is saying something. Maybe she was just having an off night. I’m in the industry myself so I totally understand that not every day is your best shift, but my friends and I felt like we were offending her just by being in her presence. It was hard to feel totally comfortable there because of it. She still got 20% because it’s my personal law to never skimp on a tip, but it hurt to leave the cash, I’m not gonna lie.“
