“Sushi Koushi is my absolute favorite sushi spot. My husband and I have been going since they first opened, and we have been so happy that a sushi place this good has popped up so close to home. Everyone here is very welcoming and helpful, and I'm always amazed at how quickly things come to the table even when it's a busy night.

Normally I don't like uni at all, but this is the only place that I have actually enjoyed it. The rolls and omakase always come out delicious and beautiful, but definitely give the Oita roll a try - it's great for any picky eaters in your party! The udon is also fantastic if you're in the mood for a noodle soup.

The one and only downside is that the location is a bit small and seems to be getting popular (for a good reason), so make sure to plan your visit accordingly!“

“I had the aloha roll. It was light and delicious. The rice is cooked perfectly. The wasabi is so good, more flavorful than intensely spicy. The sashimi is excellent quality. The white fish (called super white tuna), had zero fishy taste. I'd never tried it. The dessert was excellent. The cheesecake was one if the best I've had. Super smooth, and very fluffy, which made it too easy to finish! I really enjoyed it and was very impressed at the quality. Woodenville is lucky to have such a good quality international cuisine to add to the more mainstream (but also delicious) selection of restaurants in the area.“

“The food here is absolutely amazing! I seriously did not know it was possible to sell such generous portions of fresh sushi at this price. My big back friend and I (also a big back) shared a family combo that was only $69 after tax that had 4 gigantic rolls and a boat-load of karaage. We weren't able to finish and had enough leftover for another meal. On top of all that, the service is super friendly and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. The staff were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and more. I'm a self-certified sushi connoisseur and I can confidently say this is the best value sushi I've ever had by far. The salmon nigiri especially was super fresh and had blanket-sized slices of salmon. This is 100% a must-try restaurant.“

“My wife and I have tried Suzuki, Kashiba, Takai, Shiros, Ltd, and Taneda. When it comes to edomae omakase, we will choose Wataru every single time.

Despite only being run by a husband and wife duo, the service is on point, and Chef Wataru shows immense attention and care to both the customer's experience and to the detail of each individual course.

The ambience is very comfortable, and the portion sizes are extremely satisfying. Come here with an empty stomach!!

While the omakase price may seem higher than others, we fully believe the number of courses, portion size, and beautifully crafted + delicious courses are fully worth it.

“Note: We attempted to talk with the managers/staff before posting this, but we were told the fish was supposed to be this way. I didn’t think to take photos because we assumed after talking with the staff the issue would be fixed so we brought them the leftovers. We have been eating sushi for several decades and have never had fish that smelled and or looked like this. Normally we eat here in restaurant, but this last week we ordered and picked up. The tuna handrolls looked like it had been in a meat grinder and tasted bitter. The sashimi special we normally order had all kinds of connective tissue and fat clumps we had to try to tear off the meat because we could not chew through it. Instead of being soft the hamachi (yellowtail tuna) was hard chewy. I eventually spit it out in to my napkin. We gave up when it came to the salmon portion because it didn’t smell right.“

“My wife and I absolutely LOVE this place! It is smaller and quieter than most sushi spots in Bellevue/Seattle but it is by far our favorite. We have ordered a variety of their rolls and dishes but we now have out usual order of:

It is such a hidden gem and don’t be fooled by the “fancier” places around. This is our go to sushi spot. We are unfortunately moving out of the Bellevue area but will still try to come back at least every other week. That’s how much we love this place. The service is also kind and welcoming. “This used to be a excellent beer bar serving amazing beer with mediocre food. Then it changed owners and they started serving solid sushi and still serving amazing beer. They changed chefs earlier this year and they are one of the best sushi restaurants who happens to serve amazing beer. They do sell out of specialty dishes (e g., Ankimo: monkfish liver pate) which is how it should be for delicasies.“

“I was blown away by my experience here! Most sushi bars tend to have sub par sushi quality but here you can order it specifically and have it made fresh for you on a conveyer belt that is up above the normal sushi belt. The staff is wonderfully kind and the touch screen ordering tool is extremely convenient when it comes to how fast orders take and calculating order total. The staff frequently changes soy sauce dispensers and ginger containers, while also having a slot you can insert your plates to reduce space.“

“A nice little spot for some delicious sushi in downtown Kirkland. Walked in on Friday evening and were seated really quickly. The staff was welcoming and friendly in a down to Earth way. Our table was clean and comfortable. Great variety on the menu; I was able to order non-sushi items for myself and daughter while my friends found some great looking sushi plates. My chicken Katsu was crispy and cooked perfectly, and included a fresh salad and a cup of miso soup, which was very tasty. We tried the potato-ball/squid dish (I can't recall the name) and it was VERY good!!! Great on a cold evening to warm you up. Prices seemed fair and our waitress was very helpful and friendly.
