“This is truly a neighborhood diner that is a local favorite spot. We went on a Saturday mid-morning for brunch, and trust me . . . We were not alone. That joint was packed. We had about a 25 minute wait which was cool. Once we got seated, we were greeted by our waitress. The wait staff is not like an ordinary staff. They are a group of people that look like they just put on whatever is clean and come to work. You really don’t know who works there as the restaurant staff look like the average customer. . , it’s kinda weird, but it works. Our waitress was awesome!We had the Buffalo chicken BLT wrap with hand cut fries and creamy coleslaw and the spicy chicken quesadilla with tortilla chips w/salsa and sour cream. The food was soooo flavorful and seasoned to perfection.It’s a very busy dish place where everyone minds their own business. Loved it!!! I will be back. This restaurant should be featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.“
“This was our first time at the Diplomat, and we won’t hesitate to return…. But diners need to be prepared to drop a bit of cash, and possibly leave a bit hungry. Food is fabulous, creative and 5 star all the way…. But portions are small for the price. Example: 1 piece of sourdough bread with butter $8. Mind you, it was one of the best pieces of bread I’ve had in a long time, but may also be the generous amount of butter you can slather on it. The ambience is like a 1960’s living room …. Great decor!Vegetarian options: They have a delicious Rissoto, snd several small vegetarian small plates.“

“Food and service were phenomenal. We had the brussel sprout appetizer which was deep fried with honey and pistachio which was slightly too oily. For the entrees; the steak was perfectly cooked and I couldn't get enough of the poule with herbs and house made Cesar dressing. My wife got the duck entree, which was cooked medium rare, kept its gamey flavor while capitalizing on the fat with a veggie puree backdrop. The suggested cocktails for each entree were excellent and paired perfectly with the dishes we ordered. We capped off the evening with the bread cheese dessert and split a tawny port. Awesome experience overall, and on Valentine's Day to boot! An absolute gem on the east side. Upscale protein at mid range prices. If you're in Milwaukee, make your way to The Original!“
“Full fine dining experience, minus pretentiousness. Our service was incredible and made us feel like we'd been regular patrons for years. We went on a Saturday, so we only had the option of 4 course menu (7 is reserved for weeknights, we'll definitely be back). Not only was our food and service outstanding, but the wine pairings really took this experience over the top(I believe the wine person was Jeffrey, my hearing isn't so great) if you enjoy dining, and live in Milwaukee, don't wait as long as we did to visit, it's worth experiencing!(The photo I posted was when I was nearly finished, the presentation before I messed it up was beautiful)“
“My husband agrees that the duck fat burger is one of the best he’s ever had! I love the vegetarian fat noodles they’ve had on the menu during the winter season, seriously mouth watering.. but pretty spicy (the Thai chilis they put in there are no joke and last time I was crying at the table for a good 25mins because I accidentally ate one), I wish there was a warning about that. The cocktails are good, but not anything fabulous or fancy. We’ve been back once since our first time there a couple months ago!“

“First time in, Friday night for two of us for a friend’s birthday. Everything was superb, food was so delicious, staff was very accommodating. Friendly and helpful service from my questions over the phone before booking, to altering our reservation, to dinner service with our wonderful server Moi, to serving my carry-in cake. Homemade bread was excellent and their tomato sauce was out of this world. I got the cioppino he got the ravioli and we just kept raving about the sauce. 5 stars highly recommend“
“This place is really fun! Casual art deco digs and a creative and engaging menu. We loved all of it! The Staff were superb, and the best bathrooms maybe ever. My only complaint was ALL the dishes were salty, like really salty. Even my salad. I didn’t really mind but, it was a bit much after a couple of course.I look forward to trying the other restaurants from these creators!“
“The only pre fee coursed meal I'd experienced before coming to Ardent was Thomas Keller's Per Se.... Let me tell you, this experience at Ardent exceeded every past "elite" dining experience I've had.Each course was well thought out and beautifully executed. Highlights on our menu were the curry carrot cake and the uni onion soup. Each course held an element of surprise and finesse. I asked my boyfriend to take my back here for my birthday. “First time trying this place it's a small dining area and parking can be a bit of an issue since they're in a gas station parking lot, that is rather small. The food was fabulous. I had the taco dinner which on Tuesday was $17 for three tacos, a side of beans and rice as well as a free drink. The tacos I had were two ground beef, and one shredded pork they were very tasty. Really loved the seasoning on the shredded pork. The beans with the, cheese on top were fabulous. Mexican rice was cooked just right would definitely go back. The server was very attentive. They were just a little stingy on the ice for the ice water I requested for some reason other than that everything else was fantastic.“
“Coming from a foodie town of Chicago and also chasing delicious bites, I was so so so impressed with the dinner party I attended this weekend. We were invited to a surprise birthday party for a dear friend, and I did not know what to expect of this “restaurant.” I leave the word restaurant in quotations because it was much more than that. It was an intimate dinner party EXPERIENCE where the staff blended in the background and it felt like our group were the only ones there. Everyone had a hand in the experience, from the bartender to the servers to the chef. They were unobtrusive, funny, helpful, and generous. We were in the upstairs room and there was plenty of space to mingle and move around. What I love, as a self professed window shopper, is how much stuff there is to look at. I am seriously jealous of Chef David’s eclectic collection of goods. I can get lost in all his secret rooms passageways and antiques. I could easily spend hours looking at everything in his office alone just like I would at Target or Hobby Lobby lol. I would give 6/5 if I could for experience.Food was amazing, curated and discussed beforehand, per our friend who hosted this party. He planned everything out with the chef, having some choice in it, but not all. Regardless, all courses were amazing and plentiful. You do not leave hungry. The crème brûlée was my FAVORITE PART. Oh, and the 4 wine pairings were good too :)Parking was easy. If you’re able to find street parking, there is plenty of that surrounding that location. Otherwise, there is a parking lot adjacent to the building.Not only that, I find it special when the chef comes out to show their gratitude and socialize with the guests. Chef David was gregarious and hung out with us as we meandered room to room. You can tell he takes great pride in what he’s created with his incredible team. The stories behind each artifact to why he chose what dishes to make, it kept me entertained for hours.“
“Came here on a whim on a Saturday without a reservation. They have a bar and side lounge area where you can order drinks and appetizers.Appetizers were great, drinks are great. The layout in the lounge is a bit awkward, and the bartender had to search for me to deliver the food. And it was an awkward table to chair height to eat food.“
“One of our go-to places for happy hour! They have great drink deals and the food is also so good. I normally get the house sangria but this time I tried some sour cherry and lime spritzer. It wasn't on the menu for some reason but the bartender recommended it, as it's very popular. for food, we went with the breakfast poutine - always a good choice. And we tried the pancake batter fried cheese curds which were AMAZING. They come with maple syrup for dipping and it's unreal. Such a cute spot and it never disappoints!“
“Really nice treat for any occasion, or none. Creative dishes that never disappoint! Do wish there was more than one vegetarian entree though. Mushroom risotto again and again means you won't come as often no matter how well done it is. The meat entree seems to change up, why not the veg one?“

“The space was so nice and the hotel room tour they gave us was gorgeous! I loved the photo booth and thought that it'd be a great add for any event you are booking at Cambria. As for the food, everything was pretty good. The pretzel was nice and fluffy and all the condiments were good. Only complaint was that the poutine wasn't really poutine because there was no gravy but hey can't go wrong with loaded fries in any sense! The cheese was also definitely burnt but other than that the food was good! I absolutely loved the bread pudding bites they had!“
“My husband and I had a table reserved for their Valentines Day special and im so glad we gave this restaurant a chance! It was our first time going and I'm already excited for the next time we go! From the food, to the ambiance, to the service... you can't go wrong! I haven't had a restaurant leave an impression on me in so long, but Bellis Bistro did it! They were courteous, played great music, served up delicious food and made our time spent there worth it. For what I paid, I feel like I got my money's worth. If this restaurant has been on your bucket list for awhile I suggest you give them a chance. I'm so glad I did!“
“My husband and I met up with a few friends here on a Saturday night and it was super busy! It took a little bit of waiting at the bar to get a table, but we did settle into a booth soon enough. Our waitress was super sweet and was clearly working very hard on this busy night, but took excellent care of us. I had a French Kiss followed by the House Daiquiri. The French Kiss was yummy, but a little strong on the hibiscus syrup in my opinion. The House Daiquiri was confusing - all the daiquiris I've ever had have been served neat in a coupe - my friend ordered a vodka gimlet which was served this way - but the daiquiri was on the rocks in a tall glass. It was very good nevertheless. My husband got an old fashioned, which he thoroughly enjoyed. They also have some bar food which we were excited to try. We ordered a basket of salted fries and risotto bites, but found out after that they were out of the risotto bites. The fries were really good: the outside was crispy and inside fluffy and not dense. It was also seasoned very well. I imagine the risotto bites were equally delicious, so we'll have to go back to try it! Our check did include the risotto bites, but our waitress was sweet and fixed it right away. Overall a good experience and would definitely come back!“
“Stopped by after lunch for a take order. Ordered the Jambalaya pasta. The meal was good, kinda sad it didn’t automatically come with anything, but they added bread upon my request. Take out was ready within 10, but I stayed longer to enjoy my cocktail. I had a strawberry lime margarita-perfectly mad. They were offering happy hour discount - will be back with friends. I loved the decor near the bar.“
