“Very clean. Great fast and friendly service. Soup and salad was really good love the dressing. Beef lo-mein was a little bland and meat seemed kinda like tv dinner meat same with the teriyaki chicken was weird cut up pieces that dont seem like it was cut from a breast or anything. But other than that it all had good flavor and everything was fresh and clean. Id give it 5 stars if the meat was a real sliced breast with maybe a little char or something. This meat seemed boiled or something not grilled.“
“My family and I have eaten here many times over the years. They just get better & better. Take out, dine in.... both are great. The food is always hot, fresh, fast and taste awesome! Inviting atmosphere, they are always so nice and funny. We always spend over a $100, a large order for take out and they have it ready in 15 mins. They never disappoint us in any way. They are absolutely the best!Chicken & broccoli, sweet n sour chicken, any of their fried rice, shrimp egg rolls (my fav-they are fat and filling!), all the lo meins, pepper steak, sesame chicken, general taos chicken, crab rangoon.... it is all good. You won't be disappointed stopping here!“
“Friends said it was one of the two actual authentic Chinese restaurants in town. The other being a northern style one. The food quality is consistently good, but the spiciness is not very consistent, so might want to clarify how spicy you want the dishes to be when ordering.“
“May have finally found the most authentic Thai in the Milwaukee area. Their menu is a bit limited (only 2 curries offered) but it seems that everything they offer is delicious. My go-to is tofu pad see ew and it was so flavorful and moist. My friend got the pork belly and I tried a bite, the dipping sauce is so dang good. The dessert was delicious as well. The portions are huge and it's reasonably priced. There were a good amount of people on a Friday night. Service was great. Would definitely come back!“
“I don’t think I’ve had Taiwanese food before. The flavors are still unique to me but the food was so fresh, loved the balanced veggies on the side & generous portions to price. I ordered for the family the Hung Shao Pork Bento (braised pork belly), Korean Style Crispy Chicken Bento, Fried Dumplings and Pork Buns. Everything LOOKED AMAZING! Presentation of bento box was picture perfect! I had the Korean Style Crispy Chicken & it was so fresh and satisfying. The Pork Bun was a nice appetizer as well. And I especially enjoyed the fried dumplings. ?I’ve been hesitant to try this place BUT I’m so glad I did! Definitely recommend!“
“Where do I even begin?!? My partner and I made the drive from Madison first thing in the morning on a Saturday - he didn't know where we were going, but I had called ahead the day before to place an order. We arrived right when Lucky Bakery & BBQ opened, and there were others waiting outside and in the lobby (a great sign!). My partner was thrilled that the surprise was Chinese BBQ, and we picked up the order of roast ruck and pork with crispy skin. While we were there, we chose some bakery items as well (an egg tart and a red bean cake). Then, we started to drive home, snagging a piece of pork to nibble on the drive back to Madison. HOLY COW. I pulled the car over SO FAST - this pork deserves all of your attention! You cannot do it justice while driving, you need to sit and savor it! We literally bought a drink at a Panera so we could sit outside and eat this pork. I will dream about this pork every night until we can make another trip to West Allis. My life as been changed by this pork. The duck and the bakery items were also flawlessly outstanding, but I truly cannot get over the pork. We ate the entire pound of it that Saturday, and will be telling everyone we meet!“
“Cool little spot to try some Nepalese or Chinese. At first, I was confused because they show up as two different places. The Chinese and Nepalese restaurant are combined. When you sit down, the waitress brings two menus, which is interesting. I had some cauliflower curry from the Nepalese menu, and it was DELICIOUS! There was lots of ginger and heavy spices (which I appreciate). The rice was over cooked and the chai tea tasted like it was from an instant mix, but the curry was so good that it overrode those drawbacks in my rating.“
“Went there today for Easter dinner. Way easier than cooking. We pre-ordered and it was ready on time. Unfortunately, when we got home there were no sauces or fortune cookies. My friend called and they sent someone right away with no charge. Sure, the sauces should have been included to begin with, but they did make it right with a smile ☺. And, the food was terrific. Great food and great customer service. Will definitely order again, and check for sauces next time. Thanks“
“Have been ordering from this place since it opened and I have never been disappointed. It is one of the best American Chinese food places on this side of Wisconsin. The ingredients always taste fresh and delicious, with generous takeout portions. They don't skimp on the meat or seafood! I have kids that are picky eaters and they love the shrimp with broccoli and the egg rolls the most. My kid who always asks for only peanut butter sandwiches all day will quietly chow down on the rice and broccoli, then invite the shrimp to the belly party. Another of my kids didn't even know until today that egg rolls are full of cabbage (stuff she doesn't like to eat if I make it at home) and just raised her eyebrows and said "well I love cabbage then!" and continued to eat the whole egg roll up as usual. The staff are always polite and friendly, food is made to order and ready quickly. My family and I really enjoy the food and the takeout experience.“
“I am a Chinese food aficionado having grown up in New York City. Chinese food comes in four varieties, and Kings Wok excels in two of them: Cantonese and Sichuan. There are hundreds of Chinese restaurants in Milwaukee and I only have ranked Fortune on Highway 100 the only remaining five star Chinese restaurant. That was until I discovered Kings Wok We live very nearby this restaurant, but have always gone to a place in Mequon. I should point out that for the last five years we have only been doing takeout for Chinese food. Kings Wok was a revelation. We went there because of the weather. We wanted to stay close by home. I can't believe we haven't been here since it opened. I haven't heard much about it from anybody. It might be the best Chinese restaurant in the north shore. There is plenty of parking for your pick up, and they are always on time with their orders. There are many features that this restaurant has in terms of food and ordering that make it extremely desirable. Fortune has absolutely the best website of any restaurant you will find. This restaurant has no website for ordering, but if they do, I recommend they find out who designed Forrtune's website and use them. While ordering by phone is not difficult, they are often busy and the order gets rushed. There is a lot of noise in the background as well. The menu is extensive, and I recommend that you pick up a print menu when picking up your first order as it is much easier to envision than the one on the Internet. Both are quite complete. One of the beauties of the Kings Wok menu choices is that many of the entrées are offered as pints or quarts. So basically, you can order the equivalent of an half order compared with ordering only full orders from other restaurants. The portions are quite generous in general, so start with the half orders, and in subsequent orders, if you need more generous servings, then go to the quarts. Further, the menu is laid out beautifully, the categories are clear, and the ingredients of each dish are made very clear. The intensity of the dish in terms of heat is also rated. There is a special lunch menu at a very reasonable price. And there are combination plates for the dinner entrée, very reasonably priced and very generous portions. Now to the food. I find myself ordering the exact same thing every time and I've tried recently to try other dishes that I like. Highly recommend the wonton soup, egg drop soup, and appetizer pork. I haven't had the eggroll, but they look very good. Fried rice is always a benchmark test for me at any Chinese restaurant I go to. This is excellent fried rice. I usually get the pork fried rice which is excellent, but my wife likes shrimp fried rice. We tried it and the shrimp are of the larger size than normally found in fried rice, and are excellent. All of the entrées we've tried, and our guests have tried, have been outstanding. I've tried the twice cooked pork, the pork with vegetables, moo shu pork, beef with snow peas, shrimp with mushrooms, and they were all outstanding. For true disclosure, the only negative that I can find is that the pork runs a bit fatty. I think they are using loin or shoulder as opposed to tenderloin. Other than that, no complaints. All containers are labeled and they use no staples in their packaging which is a pet peeve of mine. Kings Wok is a small restaurant in a strip center of many stores. It is easily overlooked. if you are a Chinese food lover, as I am, DO NOT OVERLOOK IT!“
“This is a gem of find. Food is delicious and service is impressive. It was the trifecta of Bao buns, dumplings, and sushi. The bbq Bao buns were delicious and moist. The steam and pan fried dumplings had a fresh and flavorful filling. The sushi was also on point. This is the 1st time I've experience such great quality in all those dishes in one place. I'm already planning my next visit.“
“My sister and I got take-out here on Saturday night. We shared crab rangoons, sesame chicken, vegetable lo mein, and vegetable Mei Fun! Everything was very good! We were at work, so our go-to Chinese food spot was too far away, so we decided to try this restaurant for the first time. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!“
“Finally have a "go to" Chinese restaurant in town after trying for years to replace our old favorite (owners retired). Good meals, good service and decent prices. Also have a good buffet option if you are interested. Have been numerous times now and have yet to have a bad experience!“
“I moved to the Southside area from Brown Deer back in late 2017. While living in Brown Deer my favorite Chinese restaurant was in Menomonee Falls which wasn't that far. Unfortunately since moving to the Southside I couldn't find a Chinese food restaurant at least for me that was up to par. Believe me when I say I tried many Chinese restaurants, its an understatement. I realize everyone has different taste and mine was just not being fulfilled. I actually stumbled across this restaurant on my way to an appointment. I decided I'd give it try. I thought to be safe I'd keep it simple ( beef fried rice, shrimp egg foo young, crab rangoon and an egg roll) this was around lunchtime and was also takeout. The service was quick and very friendly. I couldn't wait to get home because it smelled so good but even with that I was still thinking this may be another disappointment. I'm beyond thrilled to say that everything exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious. I finally found a Chinese food restaurant that did not disappoint. I no longer have to travel to Menomonee Falls for great Chinese food. This restaurant is just as good and honestly maybe a smidge better. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. I definitely recommend it. Great Food“
“An important part of moving to a new neighborhood is finding your reliable Chinese restaurant that you can reach for on nights where you want comfort food or just don't want to cook. Wing's is fast, good quality and the food is always fresh. I recommend calling ahead so you don't have to wait, but I've never had to wait that long anyway. I highly recommend the General and Mandarin chicken but all of their staple dishes are as you'd expect.“
“Carry out only here. Do not panic like me if they don't answer their phone right away. The line is busy, it took me like 4 calls to get through and place my order. We got shrimp egg rolls, crab rangoon, general tso's chicken, and the seasame chicken platter which came with a pork egg roll and pork fried rice. My boyfriend loved the shrimp egg rolls and general tso. He didn't care for the crab Rangoon but I liked them a lot! The pork fried rice was good but I prefer my fried rice without peas and carrots. The portions are massive! We would definitely order from here again. The food is good and affordable. When I went to pick up the food, I realized I hadn't given them my name. Then I learned, they identify people with their phone number. When my food was ready, they called out the last 4 digits of my phone number.“
“Very good and fresh food. I’ve tried a lot of Chinese takeout and this was very tasty. Lots of huge shrimp in the shrimp fried rice! The portions are huge, the seasoning was just right and they were friendly. I wish they did delivery or DoorDash. My only con of i had to have one is that they don’t have bamboo shoots in their fried rice. My new go to for Chinese“
“Delicious Chinese food. I had the General Tso Chicken, Chicken and snow peas, Shrimp fried rice, Peking Dumplings and egg rolls. Everything was fresh and flavorful. They also deliver within a 5 mile radius. The service was great. We are always greeted nicely by the cashier who was friendly and courteous. The staff/ family here work very hard and it shows. Peking Garden has been a West Allis favorite of ours for 10+ years.“
“Quick, delicious, plentiful Chinese food. You get two entrees and a rice or noodle side for $8.95. The styrofoam container is packed! I usually make two meals out of one order. Currently there is only take out. We’ve gone early, mid day and in the evening. It’s always hot and tasty. Not dried out. It’s become our favorite place for reliable Chinese takeout.“
“This is VERY good, fresh tasting takeout food. It scratches our Chinese-take-out cravings every time! Hot and sour soup is so good - craved when I had a cold; it’s curing! And they don’t skimp on veggies in the veggie fried rice, either. To be clear, I’m not commenting on authenticity, but it’s just as good (if not better) than the Chinese take out we ordered while living in NYC. Also, I wonder if people know how much their 2 or 3 star reviews that are out of context or unrealistic expectation-wise hurt small local businesses? Let’s stay positive, folks. Support your local spots!“
“food was so good i looked on tik tok someone recommended this resturant, i went and let me tell you ive never had food so good and fresh i like the fact you can see into the kitchen while they prepare your food the egg foo young sauce ive never taste nothing like that in my life it was soooooo good i found a new spot! love it the customer service was good she was very polite, also leave every sauce out for you to take whats needed.“
“First I’d like to say.. The customer service is amazing, you can tell the food is made and packed with love. The flavor is 10/10 for the Kung pao chicken, however my only complaint was the texture of the chicken was a little tough. The hot and sour soup 8/10, needed a little more kick to it but still good and great ingredients. Cream cheese puff (crab Rangoon) flavor was there just wasn’t 100% freshly fried, 8.5/10. Overall rating 8/10. Will be back just based off flavor and customer service alone. The place for dine in is small and not appealing, when you walk in you can tell it’s more so take out based however overall cleanliness of the facility 9/10.“
“I knew my night would be crazy, so I placed a to go order to make sure I got in dinner early. My order consisted of beef pad see ew and pork egg rolls. The pork egg rolls were fantastic. Really good size, fresh ingredients, and amazing flavor. I would order these again in a heartbeat. The pad see ew is ok. I didn't think there was enough egg in it, I wasn't overly fond of the white onion, and both the broccoli and carrot seemed like they were added afterwards and not cooked in the sauce with the noodles and beef because they were harder than expected and didn't absorb any of the flavor of the sauce. Certainly not my favorite pad see ew in the area, but I wouldn't be opposed to getting it again.“
“the food is great and very good quality! I love this place so much, it’s my new favorite restaurant. The workers are very nice and food doesn’t take long to get. It’s amazing I would definitely recommend if you want to eat at a good Chinese restaurant!“
“Best Chinese food ever! I love this place always will. Homemade egg rolls, sweet and sour sauce. Nothing like these other commercialized restaurants in the area. My mom has been coming here since the 70’s and Jim knows us by name when we visit.“
“I've been getting food from here for years. It's great that you see your food being made. The quality food is good and always consistent. The only most recent thing is the gentleman that takes your order goes off if you ask for chopsticks with your order.“
“I honestly love their Fresh fruit smoothie with tapioca boba. They have the best Crab Rangoon I have had to date.Their menu and place does need some work. I really want this place to do well. I have come here occasionally for over 10 years. I would love them to get to their next level for dining and cuisine.I think they could do well if they made more things from scratch that were signature dishes. Stay Fresh, that’s what keeps me coming back. Homemade tapioca boba taste the best.“
“The food was fresh and tasted great! However, that wasn't the best part for me. The best part was the outstanding customer service. This seems to be a family owned business and the lady running the place when I stopped through was super nice and tried her absolute best to make sure I had a good experience. At the end, she explained to me that their goal is to cater to the customer's needs and make it feel like home. I'd say the succeeded! I love small family owned businesses like this and will be coming back! :-)“
“my mom got me started on this establishment. she brought home shrimp fried rice, chicken lo mein, and a po platter. it was excellent. so far i ordered again getting house rice, spring rolls, and crab rangoon. i just ordered today. now getting house lo mein and dumplings. i like the food here..“
“Always fast and reliable. Everything I’ve tried has been great. The customer service is top notch and friendly. They always make me feel welcome when I come to pick up an order.Online ordering makes it super fast and easy, almost always ready in 20 min or less, even when very busy.I can’t recommend them enough.“
“My fiance & I went for dinner & Omg the food was great and drinks. Our server Gina was the best and very friendly. Always kept it on top for coming and checking on us and asking us about our food, etc. Thank You Gina for your awesome serve and keep it up, Your a Great Server.. “
“WOW - WOW - WOW. China Gourmet is a very inconspicuous little restaurant (it's quite big inside) with really no frills or over the top atmosphere situated right across the street from the Pabst Theater. We were in a hurry to get something to eat before catching the comedy show across the street and we stumbled across China Gourmet. Our server (unfortunately I didn't catch his name) was so kind when taking our order and fast fast fast with the service. I genuinely dislike when people say "this is the best..." or "this is the worst..." BUT this was absolutely the most flavorful Chinese food I have ever had. The menu choices, which there were a ton of, were nondescript and not unlike what you would find at almost any Chinese restaurant, BUT the flavor profiles were ridiculous. Something as simple as pan fried noodles and fried rice which are normally compliments to the meal could have easily been the main meal. So fresh and so delicious. I had Kung Pao Beef and the sauce was so savory, I literally took the serving spoon and finished it off like a soup. If you're in town or going to a show at the Pabst Theater, don't bother with all the other options that are flashy and fancy; go to China Gourmet for the delicious food and the wonderful service.“
“If you're looking for a new Asian restaurant to try out, this is it! This is one of the only Asian restaurants I go to because it is GOOD. The staff is polite. I have recommended this place to my family, friends, and workplace. Try it out!“
“Just watched Dan win top chef at supper club elimination for his relish. Food was awesome and tasty. Service on point. When in Milwaukee a must stop. (Not exactly sure what the additional 5% for Employee Benefits added to the check is for.)“
“I went in for lunch I decided to takeout and not dine in. The buffet was clean the meats and veggies were fresh. You have a wide variety to choose from with many sauces. After I gathered my ingredients I took it to the chef to be cooked in front of me. My stir fry was delicious.“
“So clean! The food was extremely fresh, and the staff was so sweet and helpful. I will definitely come back to this branch. Probably the best experience I have had at a panda express. Only complaint is I wish more restaurants let you know about panda rewards program. I have missed so many points because I did not know this existed.“
