“When traveling I like to try local places when able. I’ve found myself in Wheeling to photograph the Cathedral. Anyway, I stopped in for dinner, was seated quickly and water received immediately. I kept it simple and just had the burger with fries. It was cooked perfectly and arrived pretty quickly. (This place is not a burger joint, the have options, such as lamb for example.) Chelsey was my server, she did great as well. Would definitely return if I found myself in Wheeling again!”

“Such a fabulous place to spend time with family and friends and to make new friends each time we go there. Food is perfect and Joey, Abbey, and all of the staff make you feel like they’ve known you their whole life. Such a perfect go to any day of the week I always highly recommend the Mediterranean salad. Just makes your mouth water!”

“Amazing Food, Service, and Atmosphere. I asked my girlfriend to marry me and they were so helpful :) I called ahead of time and talk to the owner, Dino. He set aside his best table and made sure his best server, Nicole, took care of all our needs. Then I talked to the dessert chef and she did the rest :) They help make a great memory :) In today's world it is tough to fine such a gold mine. They treat you like family and the food is too die for :) I strongly recommend you also purchase a jar of their world famous spaghetti sauce :)”

“Visited , Thursday 8/7/25. Never complain, but the 2 salads ordered were Oh so , disappointing. Salads were not presented as advertised, with missing ingredients , and quality of ingredients were lacking. Our server did ask if we needed more salad dressing for both salads. The portion size was smaller than we anticipated. Hopefully, just an off night !”

“We came into Wheeling for the Symphony and this place was in 5 minutes walking distance, and I’m so glad we came! The service was great, and we loved the meatloaf platter- the bacon gravy was to die for! Also get the apple crumble for dessert- so good! Great Appalachian comfort food, and the waitresses were so kind. Will be back!”

“From beginning to end this was a fabulous experience. The young lady who sat us, took note of my Mother being disabled & put us in the small dining room off to the side. It was so comfortable. Our server was above & beyond. She anticipated every need & checked on us often. The food was delicious & it was prepared perfectly. I love coming to this resturant for that special treat that awaits you with every bite!”

“I was going to sign up again for tanning and was told the prices increased again! The prices are crazy high. I have been going there for several years and the increase this time is just too much. Love the staff, they do a really good job!”

“Sent my parents here for a special “date night” while they were in from out of town for a show at the Capitol. Made reservations in person and asked for it to be a special night. The restaurant and the waitress were AMAZING. They treated my parents like royalty and made their evening wonderful. Thank you and hats off to everyone at River City. ❤️❤️”

“Went for lunch today at the moundsville location. If you haven’t been there you are really missing out. Super friendly people you feel like you are at home. I got a chefs salad and it was one of the best salads I have ever had! It’s hard to make a salad phenomenal but they did it! So fresh and delicious I am dreaming of going back! It will be very soon. Plan on trying everything on the menu! If you haven’t stopped please do yourself a favor and do! Love it!”

“I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley. In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.”

“The food is awesome. The service is good 75% of the time. If it’s crowded, it’s rather slow service. We ate there late Saturday afternoon. I was so disappointed because someone was smoking in there. Not smoke free.. 3 signs say “ No smoking or vaping” I don’t like eating with smokers smoking!”

“I love that we have such a GREAT and authentic Mexican restaurant here in the Grove! Staff is super friendly, atmosphere is fun and energetic, food is AMAZING!!! When I run with my friend in the evenings, the smell of the food makes me want stop running and grab a taco instead. I always throw a quick wave at the staff as I run past, and they always wave back with big smiles! If you have not stopped here yet, you are missing out on meeting some great people and enjoying delicious Mexican cuisine! Love Chayos!!!”

“First time I went to pickles, I went specifically to get their fried pickles. This was about a year and a half ago and the coating was very thick and I was highly disappointed. I thought how can you have a bar with that name and not have outstanding pickles??? My girlfriend talked me into going again the other day and I thought okay. I'll give them another chance. Oh my gosh! Whoever made them did a perfect job. The coatiing was thin. The pickles were large Spears. It was awesome! Awesome! awesome! Did I mention it was awesome? Lol Can't wait to go back!”

“Best Chinese in Wheeling area for tofu. I ask for Sesame Tofu which they are happy to accommodate this off-menu item from their General Tso’s tofu. This works well for vegans and vegetarians. Best for take out.”

“Great food, service and a cool atmosphere. I like how the bar area is separate from the dining area. The patio was nice too. With many TVs, it's a good place to watch sports. The menu had a plethora of choices from pizza, pub grub, seafood, many salad choices (I recommend the basil vinaigrette) and great steaks! Definitely my new go to spot when visiting Wheeling.”

“This is the first time that we've visited Route 88 Burgers and Brew during the summer. The food, as always, was delicious, but this time we sat outside. Oglebay is beautiful and peaceful. A few people were enjoying the driving range and the par 3 golf. A few were also around the fire pit. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches. Oglebay has also installed a bar area with seating on the deck for customers to enjoy.”
