We chose here for dinner because we felt like Italian- our appetizers were a little longer coming out then I guess they would like as their standard so our server, Katie L, (who also appeared to be the bartender, who i enjoyed watching as she poured drinks and multitasked extremely well all while being extremely pleasant and attentive) took the appies off our bill and also told us that she had a customer at the bar who wanted to give someone else their points in an act of kindness! The points amounted to $60!!”

My encilladas were amazing with excellent taste and spice. My wife loved her enchilada style burrito and my step daughter had some great vegetarian tacos. The poutines are absolutely to die for and packed full of flavor! The Tacos… The TACOS! 🥲🤤🌮 The beef, chicken, pork and fish are to absolutely to die for! I think about this place minimum two times a day! The owner Nikita is an absolute rockstar! Super friendly, treats all her staff/ customers like family! I’m so proud to support a business like hers! Makisu Sushi has quickly become one of my go to spots in Lethbridge for casual, satisfying sushi. If you’re looking for all you can eat Japanese food that doesn’t break the bank, this is definitely the place to check out.
The variety here is honestly impressive. You’ve got all the classics salmon, tuna, spicy rolls, but what really stands out are the specialty rolls like the Mango Roll and Green Dragon. The sushi is made to order, arrives quickly, and is always presented neatly. I especially appreciated the freshness of the salmon and the texture of the tempura items.
Service is friendly and efficient, even when the restaurant gets busy. The staff are always checking in, clearing plates, and making sure everything’s coming out as ordered. It’s a casual, family-friendly environment with a welcoming vibe.
The menu also includes lots of hot dishes as teriyaki, dumplings, noodles which is great if you’re dining with someone who’s not big on raw fish. And for the price the portion sizes and variety make it a great value.

“Other then some questionable light coloured ginger beef(which I avoided) October 14, 2024 was the best Chinese buffet experience I have had in Lethbridge! There was very few people at first but the cook kept coming out and stirring the dishes which is an EXTREME rarity at any buffer. They mostly clean up messes and fill empty items. Your schezwan chicken was so yummy!!!”

The lovely gal (I forgot to get her name) put down what she was doing and created a beautiful bouquet for me. I was extremely appreciative her wonderful work and accommodating my last minute request. Kudos to you guys as good customer service these days is hard to come by! And the food is always great!”
