“Came here for the first time. It was amazing. Got 2lbs of crawfish. 1lb of snow crab and then added sausage, corn, potatoes. Came out to only $80 with drinks as well. The entire bowl was filled when it came out. We ate till we were super full and still took half a bag home. Cajun sauce with 1x spicy level. 10/10 recommend. Waited little bit for order to be taken on a slow day but the food came out literally minutes after getting order taken so it didn’t make a difference. They serve the food very quickly. Everyone was super nice there and helpful.”
“Always a great experience and consistent great food and service when I am visiting Alaska this place is a must!”
“Umami BBQ is a great spot for a unique dining experience. We ordered the seafood special hot pot, which came with two broths, both of which were excellent. I was a little underwhelmed at the amount of meats vs veggies we were given, but overall the food was great. The drinks we ordered from the bar were also very good, and they were delivered by the highlight of the experience, Umami BBQ's own drink service robot! This robot drops off your drinks while sporting fun music, and it will even sing you happy birthday! Overall, it makes the whole experience more fun and novel.
Would recommend to anyone looking for an interesting dinner experience in east Anchorage!”
“One of my favorite restaurants! Great food and hospitality! True comfort food without being terrible for you. I always leave happier than when I go there.”

“Wonderful experience here and will be back! The food was exceptional, the decor and ambiance makes it a rare find in Anchorage, and the staff were warm, helpful and happy.”
“Professional and courteous staff with amazing food. The bar has knowledgeable bartenders with an excellent cocktail menu and an awesome selection of wine, liquor and draft beer. The pork chop is delicious and the bangers are bangin’ 💯 Definitely worth the money spent and worth the wait if they are busy👊🏼”

“We found this restaurant by accident. Our mom and aunt wanted pasta, but they wanted to be somewhere quiet. My brother googled and found this place. At first we thought we were at the wrong address since we didn’t see a sign. But we peaked in and we were met by the owner who asked us to take a seat. Service was fast, the food was amazing! And talk about a great salad bar with everything you would want on a salad with house made dressings. Everyone in the family ordered something different, from a mushroom burger to spaghetti and Greek pizza. The servings were so generous two people could eat or you will have leftovers. Oh, and we were even introduced to the owners daughter. It was a nice evening and has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat.”

“Excellent service, unique atmosphere, and the best ramen ever! The Dark Horse is my favorite, but I'm glad they have the vegan option because my friends who joined me do not eat pork. While I don't personally find whisky and ramen to be a good pairing from a culinary perspective, I appreciate the uniqueness of the experience. I always feel like I'm in a bigger city - like Seattle - when I visit this place.”

“Terrible service, brought friends from outside of state and it was embarrassing after telling them what a "great" place. Halibut was over cooked and too much batter. The waitress made a RUDE remark about a server who dropped a plate of food. We were basically ignored. It wasn't even busy, mid-afternoon. SORRY, I still have gift cards to spend because I don't really want to go back. disappointed 😞”

“We wanted a quiet place for a reunion dinner so we tried Pho Lotus for the first time tonight. It was nice and quiet. The service was outstanding. We were greeted immediately and got water within 30 seconds of being seated. Our server showed up to take our orders less than two minutes later. The food came out surprisingly quickly. Everybody was very happy with their food and the portions were big enough to provide another meal the next day. We will definitely be back.”
“great atmosphere and friendly service, food is always delicious.”
“Nina, the owner was kind enough to set up a special tea party for me and my out of town guest. Her shop has a large selection of loose leaf teas and it was busy in there but she was patient and helped us find something we liked, even offering us a sample of their house tea. The tea sandwiches were flavorful and delicate. The doughnuts were so good!!! There’s so much to see in this little shop and plenty of delicious treats. I will be back!”

“We had to place an order in a very short amount of time for 70 very hungry school children because our flight was delayed. Not only did they all step up and get the food outright and then timely manner JJ helped me run 70 happy meals to gate five. You all really saved the day. The food was hot and delicious You have restored my faith in McDonald’s and I will come back and visit again when I fly back into town We were very happy, very satisfied and very pleased with the service, the promptness the professionalism, and the food quality This happened on Valentine’s Day Saturday, 14 February 2026”
“Genuinely whoever did nightshift dec 24 3 am dec 22nd night yk and like not to exaggerate or anything but all four of us in the car sober ate ts and agreed some of the best and beautiful tacbell we've all ever had whoever was in the kitchen was JUST COOKING. And personsonally only started being to eat tacobell because my mom didnt like it. I've been eating a decent amount of tacobell since moving out and omg Genuinely the tastiest crunchwrap and burrito supreme. They were just perfect I got the burrito out the commercial with that one I wish I took a picture but we all ate it so quickly because it was just so good”
“Went with my aunt and grandma, she found a clean table right next to the door to sit down. We used the kiosk to order our food and customize the crunch wraps. By the time we filled our drinks and sat back down the food was done. Everything came out perfectly cooked and no mistakes. 10/10 for Taco bell”
“I ate an egg and sausage cheese McGriddle from here one stormy morning when the weather was just not cutting it (normally, can pretty much subsist on sunshine alone. At least 'til lunch.)
The lady who delivered the order to the window was sweet and very smiley, seemingly simple touch but really nice on an un-fun morning.
(As for the McGriddle, I may or may not order it again. I had thought it would have english muffin holding the eggy sausage goodness inside but I was wrong. It was lightly sweet pancake-like things, which were a touch rubber sole-ish along the outside edges and a tad greasy on the lips. But did I finish it? Yes. Yes I did.)”

“Outstanding! It’s been 8 long years since I’ve had a ham/cheese croissant made in the traditional French way and it was a delight to discover this wonderful bakery and the aforementioned croissant. Enjoyed some delicious danishes before returning a second time for some baguettes to accompany leftover Christmas dinner! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”
“What a delightful place my wife and I went today. We felt like we stepped through the door and into Germany again. We haven't had so delicious of coffee since leaving Germany. The fresh blueberry Belgian waffles are fantastic, as well as the pastries these German women make themselves. It was such a delightful place We discovered today, and we will make it our regular go-to place every Sunday.”
“Authentic as it gets. Great spread of banchan and friendly owners. 😋”
“This is my new favorite restaurant in Anchorage. Great food at reasonable prices.”
“The fried chicken sandwich is good (but it tasted like fish). I really liked the Boba fizzy soda. The mac and cheese tasted like Annie's boxed mac and cheese. Don't bother paying for it. You can make it at home. The caramel apple bread pudding is heavenly!! Portion sizes are good! I had leftovers.”

“Great coffee shop with a simple menu that really delivers. The O’Malley maple breakfast burrito was one of the best I’ve had in a long time, and I’ve tried plenty. The side of sour cream and their house-made sauce was the icing on the cake. Friendly service, genuinely open early for early risers, and solid coffee all around. Definitely a spot I’ll be back to.”
“Birch & Alder where have you been my whole life?! Tucked away roadside coffee shop, the burrata sandwich on focaccia is nothing short of a culinary success. The creamy burrata, crispy prosciutto (wow) perfect! Layers of fresh brightness, but the zhoug sauce (double wow)! When I say it’s a 10 out of 10, I really mean it’s an 11 an absolute must try for anyone chasing the ultimate sandwich experience. Nothing but smiles:)”

“I ordered takeout for the “back alley smash burger”, after seeing the home made buns I knew it had to be worth the $17 price tag. And boy oh boy, was it ever! This place is far from the “bearded burger joint/new age stereotype”. Their burger and chips are amazing, all homemade ingredients. I highly HIGHLY recommend you to try out Altruro Bistro, don’t let the pricing scare you away from what the menu has to offer, it’s worth every last penny!!!”

“Incredible beer, awesome venue, dog friendly, and they also have Familia! Absolutely everything about this place is legendary. Thank you for giving the locals, like us, and those that travel in a solid and worthwhile experience!”

“Very clean restaurant and great service. I ordered the burger and brew salad and it was the tastiest, fresh salad I had in a long time. It tasted home made and I will be back for more. I also tried the blueberry lager and it was delicious and compliments the salad perfectly!”

“We really enjoy Bernie's and visit often. It's one of the few places to go in Anchorage that you can smoke cigars and have a tasty beverage. Even in the winter they'll fire up the outdoor heaters so you stay warm and dry.
The food is surprisingly good, and service has always been top notch.
This isn't a posh bar, but it's a fantastic lounge and place to hang out. They do what they do very well.”
“Everything!!! My first visit there was earlier this week with two friends. I ordered the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad. It was out-of-this-world. The encrusted Goat Cheese was extraordinary. It was warm with a delicious crispy outside and a warm soft goat cheese inside. There were 3 on the salad and I could only eat one. I brought the other 2 home, warmed them up in my toaster oven and again they were amazing even the next day. The salad was huge. I also brought half of it home. The Basil Balsamic dressing was perfect and the candied pecans were huge and amazing too. The whole salad was wonderful with the combination of the other ingredients. It came with a yummy warm homemade biscuit. I also ordered their Tomato Basil Soup and it was the best I have ever had and it is a favorite of mine and I have ordered it at many other restaurants. It too came with a biscuit. For dessert I ordered the Chocolate Thunder Cake which I took home. I have had it in small slices, warmed up, with vanilla ice cream and I still have lots of slices to go. It totally melts in your mouth. I am a dark chocolate lover and it was the best. I am going to Sis’s Cafe again tomorrow with another friend!! Silver”
“I’m not a fan of sushi but ReHaru is where my granddaughter wanted to go for her birthday lunch. The atmosphere was delightful and the food was excellent! Our server was full of personality and provided excellent service which earned him a very generous tip (60%). I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Anchorage!”
“Fresh, delicious food, I ate every bite! Open late into the evening as well.”
“I’m in town for less than 24 hours and was looking for a good sushi lunch. I’m glad I chose Arigato. I was greeted immediately on entering, provided a seat at a booth, and given a hot tea I didn’t even know I wanted much less requested.
I ordered some nigiri and then was brought a salad and miso soup—I didn’t request or expect either of them, they simply were provided—all quite tasty.
The nigiri I ordered was delicious. The rice was perfect as was the fish.
You will not be disappointed with your experience at Arigato.”
“Great food, excellent service. Clean restaurant with a nice ambience.”
“My daughter wanted a seafood boil for her 18th birthday and this place exceeded our expectations. The owner and other staff member went above and beyond! The food was absolutely amazing and the overall experience was even better!”
“Superlative food, wonderful service, wide-ranging menu. Two to-go experiences, one dine-in date night and this is now one of our most favorite restaurants in Anchorage.”
“Best sandwiches this side of Brooklyn. Seriously. Great service and priced right.”
“These are some of the best beers I have had in Anchorage. The Variety and skill in these beers is absolutely Amazing! And they owners are just the sweetest awesomest people; I may only make it there every so often but Cindy remembers me every time :)”
“I went for a late lunch. They have amazing food and a cool vibe.”
“Love Sorrentos we have been going to that restaurant for many years. It is one of the best ones in town the top one I would say for Italian food.”
“We’ve been enjoying Hometown for years and years, it has never disappointed. Authentic, delicious, friendly, quality and quantity! Best host while their mom is away, sister cooking did a phenomenal job!”
“We’ve long been fans of Serrano’s take-out for our company events, but when we heard about their stunning new Terra’s Room downtown, we couldn’t resist hosting our statewide management team there, and it did not disappoint!
From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. Serrano’s Manager, Monica G., connected us with Alysha from Elevated & Refined for our tablescapes, and she absolutely nailed it. The setup was gorgeous, warm, elegant, and completely honored our 70 years in business.
The food and service were outstanding as always. The legendary beans at the Taco Bar had everyone coming back for seconds (and thirds), and the star of cocktail hour was a show-stopping charcuterie board that disappeared almost as fast as it was served.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next event. AVIS Alaska will definitely keep Serrano’s at the top of our list for every celebration.”
“Where have I been hiding since December 15th, 2023?! I must have been hiding under a rock. You mean to tell me it took me 370 days to explore this restaurant?! Yummy!!!”
“This was an incredible dining experience. We ordered hot Chai, with Palak Paneer and Garlic Naan bread. I’m a typical American that likes safe foods and rarely steps out of comfort zones. I was very pleased with my meal and will CERTAINLY be eating here again. The atmosphere was very calming and romantic. This is a father and son ran restaurant. If you want a wholesome experience with an equally satisfying and delicious meal, eat here without hesitation.”

“I’ve been loving the Blueberry Mary Kombucha! I need to try more flavors but this one has been an awesome treat.”
“I haven't had Korean food too many times mostly Japanese or Hawaiian food where Korean fishes are incorporated. Definitely only had sides like this once or twice before in Hawaii and Colorado.. anyways this stuff slapped. Genuinely had some good food here.
The potatoes and this fish cake were fire. The kalbi was s little more tender then I have had at other places around town but paired with the rice was genuinely good. Also this was just the perfect amount of food. I want to go back asap and try a bunch of other food here which is extremely rare. Makes me want to go back and down rate alot of other restaunts since I can't rate the deliciousness of the food any higher then a 5. Also tried Korean beer and it was really good. Way better then our beer.”
“It was awesome!!! The service was great even there was quite a bit of people. Our food came out fantastic! The Salmon Kama is a must have!!!!”
“Just had take out from the Club. The smoked rib eye is AMAZING! The chicken breast was also excellent. Portions were very generous. This is a two meal deal. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow! Yay, Chef John! You rock! 😘”
“Great restaurant and even better since being taken over by new owners. Classic dishes like Vegan High Protein Wrap as delicious as ever, delicious soups of the day, and nice big portions. Everything tastes so nutritious and satisfying, fresh ingredients and great flavor. Really nice staff as well. Their smoothies are excellent. Great spot with food that makes you feel good. Love a place with kale on the menu 💚💚💚”
“Best food I’ve had in a long time! One of my new favorite places! And the customer service was amazing!”
“my wife and I attended tonight's performance of the great Alaskan show. great fun.”
“Best sushi in downtown anchorage and my favorite sushi restaurant in town hands down! The service is super warm and welcoming. We did not wait long for our food to come out and the owner checks in on how we are enjoying the food. The fish and uni seems to always be fresh and delicious. My favorite is the hamachi roll. The owner said they tweaked their ramen recipe and now it is my favorite ramen in town and you can get it late at night on the weekends, which I love. 10/10 experience!!!”
“Expensive and worth it. The cevice was killer and the spicy oysters were scrumptious. The dishes showed skill and technique in their plating and construction. Imaginative use of ingredients made for interesting and surprising flavors.
The service was perfection. Knowledgeable and professional staff that were very personable.
Atmosphere was clean and modern.
I will go back eagerly looking to see the new inventive ceviche offering.”
“Service is hit or miss, chips are sometimes stale, but the carnitas are always excellent.”
“My favorite dive bar in Anchorage! Great food, Beers are a little pricey but fresh and cold! Good Alaskan atmosphere but becoming a little to groovy (cool kid) Californian. If you spend time in Anchorage you want to stop by here!!”
“Cool little tequila bar restaurant right in downtown. Food was alright, I had the Carnitas tacos with beans and rice. Beans and rice need some seasoning. Tacos were a bit greasy, but good
Didn’t give five stars for the customer service experience to get sat was very unprofessional, as well as watching the gentleman in charge coach an employee in earshot of guest. That should never happen where guests are in plain view and can hear.
If you want to guarantee you’ll get sat quickly ensure you have a reservation, they get busy otherwise you’re at the mercy of bar seating which holds about 12-ish people.
The bar service was fantastic, they do a lot of “smoky” drinks, so be prepared, you may smell like a campfire when you leave.”
“Lovely space! I play music on Tuesday nights from 6-8 and we offer a family friendly lounge experience!”
“It was so good. Ive been eyeing it on my way home from school and finally, its the best atmosphere and enough spice. There were also meals i havent seen before so i cant wait until the next time i come ”
“The old fashioneds are the best! Food is amazing! Very friendly staff!”
“excellent food, excellent service. excellent atmosphere! wish we lived here, we would be regulars!”
“Great food great service it is a must even when you have to wait for a table”
“You need to try the Gyro! It’s not like any you’ve had before. Always delicious”

It was a delicious 3-course lunch with a salad, entree, and a dessert buffet. You get to give feedback to the students afterwards so they can improve.
Awesome food and atmosphere to enjoy with friends at the end of the Spring semester. You must sign up and reserve online.”
“I love Beartooth theater pub. We spend at least once per month here with the kids on Saturday. A meal while watching our favorites is incredible! However- I'm curious why, when showing a PG movie, Beartooth shows trailers for R-rated films? I Would love to see this changed, and my kids would love to see this changed.”
“Amazing food and great service. We came with a large group with little notice on a Monday night and they welcomed us with open arms. I sampled most of the Italian dishes and they were large servings and really good. I choose the steak and it was also good and I would’ve given them a top review anyway, However, I had a second visit the next day in search of my lost purse and Andreas (maybe the owner himself) went beyond over and above to help me locate my purse. Like amazing effort that saved me a day of stress that would’ve cost me a nice train trip with my family. My extended family who also lives close by told me later about how much comfort and compassion they have shown my aunt who is recently lost her husband, when she comes in. Places like this don’t exist where I live. Thank you so much for being extraordinary!”
“God bless whichever one of you psychopaths created that pizza. Literally the best pizza I've had in my entire life. I thought I knew good pizza until I tried yours and it changed my life. Keep it up!”
“A great experience, I went here with my girlfriend and our friend as well and we had Pauly and Quell as our servers and phenomenal service overall, as well as the food being amazing and the wait time was practically nonexistent despite not having a reservation. Overall, 10/10, would eat here again.”
“Loved the experience. First time there with my family. From the time we arrived during the serving and even our meal the whole experience was awesome. Thanks for an amazing time. Definitely will come again 🥰🥰🥰.”
“I’m a traveller from Australia and we don’t have any places like these any more due to legislation re smoking etc.
I specifically came here to have a smoke in comfort, indoors and meet some of the locals who were friendly and engaging.
Loved this place. Life’s good”
“I didn’t take a picture but the grilled salmon dinner with broccoli and onion rings was delicious. Looked great, arrived hot. My husband ordered the grilled halibut with rice and asparagus. Really good! Best fish I’ve had in Alaska in 3 years.”
“The whole experience was absolutely incredible. Our table was already set up and decorated when we got there. Our birthday attendant, Jeff, was very kind and helpful. He helped make sure everything went smoothly. Chuck E. put on an awesome show, even though my son got shy. All of the kids had an absolute blast! The games were great, the whole place was spotlessly clean. It was so wonderful that wants to go back, and the kids who came for his party want to have their own there too!”
“Friendly staff and amazing food! Also my favorite pizza in Anchorage! And don’t get me started on the Ekmek…!!!!!”
“Whenever I'm in Anchorage, if I have time, I drop in. Usually, I never have an issue getting a table for a few guys and hitting the pool table and jukebox. Good assortment of beer and well priced. Also sells commemorative pint glasses for the Iditarod for cheap.”
“had a great Valentines lunch with the wifey, food was great and Cassidy was a great server!”
“The food helps me not miss the lower 48 (hard to find Catfish here) and has also introduced me to cakes I had never heard of before!😁”
“The best Indian food in Anchorage hands down! We had the chicken samosa, keema naan, butter chicken, and the chicken bunha, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The service and the servers are great as well. Overall a fantastic experience, we will definitely be coming back again.”
“Food and service was excellent!! My only gripe is the wine list which is small and uninspiring.”
“Seward’s Folly feels purpose-built for sports fans and families/groups. The space is very clean, large, and open, with two separate bar areas that help spread out the energy. I stopped in to catch an NFL playoff game, and this place absolutely delivers on the viewing experience. There are TVs everywhere, so no matter where you sit, you’ll either have one directly in front of you or at least a great line of sight. Even better, they actually play the sound of the game, which feels increasingly rare and is a huge plus. I can’t speak to how that works when multiple games are on, but for a single big matchup, it’s ideal.
The menus are massive.....too massive. It’s great if you’re with a group of picky eaters, because there’s something for everyone, but the trade-off is that nothing really stands out as especially memorable or distinctive. It leans more crowd-pleasing than crave-worthy. My French dip, for example, was mostly bread with very little meat, which was a bit of a letdown. On the brighter side, the appetizers came out in generous portions, and their unbreaded fried wings were a nice surprise, especially in a sea of overly battered versions elsewhere.
They ALSO have pizza and cheese stick options but their pizza oven was down on the day of our visit. I’ve also heard good things about their country fried steak on the brunch menu, which we didn’t try this time but is officially on the list for a future visit.
They’ve got a full bar, a solid tap selection, and a parking lot, though parking can get tight when the place is packed. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive without hovering, which is exactly what you want when you’re focused on the game.
Bottom line: Seward’s Folly is a comfortable, reliable spot to watch sports, grab a drink, and keep a group happy. Don’t expect culinary fireworks, but if your goal is a relaxed game-day hang with good sightlines and good vibes, it checks the boxes.”
“The food had good taste and flavor, and the bartender was friendly and had good recommendations. The atmosphere was chill and just what was needed after a Monday-like-Tuesday, I'll be returning again in the future :)
Technical notes: Food came in a timely manner, attentive staff, and the venue offered a relaxing atmosphere where the music wasn't too loud but just loud enough for general conversation. Utilities were clean and well kept.”

“1st time visitor. Went with family. One of the machines wasn’t working after using card, asked mgr & he gave us our choice of games in that area so we didn’t lose any money. Very nice guy. We had a booth but only ordered lemonade or water and the server (forgot her name, sorry) with long blonde hair was great! Made sure we were always doing ok! Too loud for me but grandkids love it!”
“Brewerks is the kind of place you hope no one else discovers—but you can’t help telling everyone about it anyway. It’s tucked into an industrial corner of Anchorage with no frills, no fluff—just incredible beer and the kind of atmosphere that feels real. Inside, it’s welcoming in that quiet, unpolished way: barrel tables, a loft above, and Chad (the owner and brewer) probably behind the bar, pouring the beer he made himself. That kind of presence matters. You feel it in the space and in every pour. The beer is creative, clean, and thoughtful. No shortcuts. The hazy IPAs hit just right, the stouts are layered and rich without being overdone, and the rotating sours and goses are genuinely interesting—not trendy for the sake of it. You can tell he’s brewing for flavor, not followers. It’s a place where the beer speaks first, and then the people do—and both are worth listening to. If you like places where you can actually hear yourself think, where the beer is the centerpiece without needing to be flashy, and where the owner still cares enough to look you in the eye—go to Brewerks. It’s one of the best things happening in Anchorage.”

“11/10 experience and you can tell the owners put in a little extra effort and love to make this beautiful coffee stand. I have enjoyed buying beans here and recently have loved getting their cold brew with a fall flavored cold foam. My son has really loved getting maple steamers with “the works”. Really great mother son bonding time over a sweet treat! So tasty. It is a little out of my way, but I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend to anyone that is passing through the area.”
“Stopped into the new brewery on a Saturday. Nice aposphere in the seating area, with super nice staff and an open view of the brewery area. A little disappointing they only had 4 beers on tap (1 Golden, 1 Smash IPA, 1 fruited tart, and 1 Baltic porter) but they just opened up so will let that slide. The Smash was simple but highlighted the Citra hops nicely with good head retention. The fruited sour was refreshing with pretty good Blueberry and lemon flavor, good balance of tartness with fruit flavor and sweetness. The golden ale was not my favorite but was simple with a malty backbone but I didn't like the mouth feel or overall flavor. I would like to try more beers to determine my full impression of them, but everyone has to start somewere and excited to see this new brewery grow and find their niche in the beer world! 3.5/5 stars”
“Good vibes and feels safe 💗”
“Expensive and worth it. The cevice was killer and the spicy oysters were scrumptious. The dishes showed skill and technique in their plating and construction. Imaginative use of ingredients made for interesting and surprising flavors.
The service was perfection. Knowledgeable and professional staff that were very personable.
Atmosphere was clean and modern.
I will go back eagerly looking to see the new inventive ceviche offering.”
“Tucked away in the back of a main floor executive office tower, Dripping Zero provides a quiet place to enjoy a great cup of coffee or a quick lunch. There's plenty of seating inside or outside, with large windows to let in the light and provide a view. The owners are super friendly and happy to serve you anything from their menu or curate something of your choice. Prices are fantastic! This place can't be beat if you're a coffee aficionado.”
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time ordering from a restaurant. Keep up the great work chef!”
