They make truly authentic Chinese food, and everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, and hit the spot perfectly. It is a fantastic local gem and a great stop if you are looking for a comforting, high-quality meal in town.”

“We've always been treated well at the Valley Restaurant. When splitting a meal, they brought us an extra plate without us asking for it. The meal came with soup, and they brought us two soups. And the food was delicious.”

“As someone who visits Juneau regularly and lived here for 3 years, this is my absolute favorite place to go to. Whenever I could I would eat from this amazing food truck! The food is heavenly and literally brought me to tears when I first tried C5. The staff is super sweet and friendly. I always recommend this place to people and think everyone needs to eat there at least once in their life!”

“My cruise ship waiter recommended a filipino food truck by the fort and it was extremely underwhelming. I went to the museum and by sheer luck wandered into Raven Cafe. This place is phenomenal and it’s no farther than a mile away from the fort. We tried the Adobo burrito and a latte and they were great. The burrito was huge and can feed two people. The owner chatted with us and he’s such a cool guy for giving us his time to talk about not only his food but also about Juneau in general. If you want to discover a good Filipino place with great service and even better food, walk a mile from the fort and be surprised: we definitely were.”

“Ate here yesterday. The Iced Teas were perfect, best I had in 20 years! Learned that it's a relative of ginger and pretty good for you as well. The salad that came on the side with my rice noodles/tail-on shrimp/pork was so fresh and the rest of the dish was light and refreshing, crispy spring roll too. Fresh cilantro and other herbs! My wife got the pork combo rice platter and loved it! She loved the "perfectly cooked" fried egg, "savory but not too oily." Definitely our new favorite in Juneau!”

“During a recent cycling tour, Forbidden Peak Brewery was our final stop for a beer flight and appetizer, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the day.
While we were waiting for our food and drinks, a woman stopped by to check on us and see if we needed anything. After chatting for a bit, we learned she was actually one of the co-owners. When we asked about the brewery, she happily shared its origin story and gave us a deeper appreciation for the business.
It was awesome to learn that all of their beers, seltzers, and sodas are made in-house. The citrus soda and root beer were both fantastic, and the lettuce wraps were delicious.
What really made the visit stand out was the hospitality. The co-owner (I believe her name was Sarah) took the time to connect with us and share her passion for the brewery, which made the experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. Great drinks, great food, and even better people. I can't wait to visit again.”

Absolutely fantastic experience at Roma Restaurant in Juneau, Alaska!

The food was truly amazing every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can tell they take pride in every plate that comes out of the kitchen. The service was just as impressive friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.

If you’re in Juneau and looking for a memorable meal, I can’t recommend Roma highly enough. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and make this your dinner spot. Highly recommended!”

But I went for my 50th birthday and somehow that information didn’t make it to the staff. I was not acknowledged at all nor did they even ask if we were celebrating anything special. Given the low attendance and high cost of the food I would have expected better. But a minor miscue on an otherwise exceptional meal. Alas, no reason to go back to Juneau but still worth the trip if you’re there and looking for an alternative to the standard fare in town.”
