We ordered food from here for our end of year football party. due to weather (cold and rainy) we changed our party location last minute from Heardmont Playground to Chick Fil A. Isaac accommodated us quickly, reserving tables for us, and making everything easy and fun for parents and kids. “Not a huge fan of Milos. That being said the employees were nice and polite, cutting up and having a good time at work. They brought that to the atmosphere of the restaurant, definitely a plus.

Having employees that enjoy their work and work together well while taking care of the customer is a huge deal nowadays.

As far as the food goes it was Milo's, if you like it you do if you don't you don't.“

“I've been coming to this location for years and at times it struggled but the last 6 months or so it has been to notch! Fresh food every time. Order accurate every time and never a long wait. Nice to know I can swing through for a quick bite to eat and trust I'll have a great experience.“

“Wow, just wow! I had the best experience I have ever had at a Chick-fil-A on Monday when I brought my parents and we decided to eat inside. What a great decision that was. We were immediately greeted by one of the kindest souls I have ever met, Maritza! She was amazing, she showed that she genuinely cared and gave great recommendations on the new items! She made a 10/10 experience, and I can not wait to come back and visit this Chick-fil-A! By far the best Chick-fil-A I have ever been to!!!!“

“My husband and I ate 2 hamburgers and shared a fry. Food was delicious. I love the Milo's sauce. The hamburger buns are always toasted so nice. The fries have the cheese flavor and are so good dipped in Milo's sauce. The workers were so kind and friendly. It had a great atmosphere too. “Family and I had some time to to explore Birmingham before our flight home so we drove aimlessly around and first stumbled across Gatos & Beans (I did a complete review on that wonderful location). Emily recommended Joyland for a bite to eat as her establishment mainly served coffee and snacks.

Oh my GOSH, what a positive, upbeat, and tasty experience.

Joyland primarily serves Breakfast, Burgers, Hotdogs, drinks (they also have an impressively stocked bar,) and desserts.

The atmosphere is upbeat, friendly and inclusive. It gives off more of an eatery vibe than bar.

The menu has Gluten Free, and Vegetarian options. (I didn’t ask about vegan, sorry). Their crinkle cut fries are GF, crispy, and tasty.

The Cashier/server who helped us was Garret, Jake the General Manager also helped keep our order super fast and smooth.

When I again visit Birmingham, Joyland is already on my list of things to do.

It was late night after a concert, but neither me or my cousin received the food that we ordered. It was Fresh and it was OK not seasoned well at all. The drinks were great. I just wish we would have gotten the food that we ordered that was disappointing but the customer service was great“

“Stopped by for a quick lunch in the car. The young man taking my order rushed me a bit but I’m sure that it was to help the drive thru move along smoothly.

At the window I received a smile and great service from Tremayah. She confirmed my drink before handing it to me. I watched her recount my change before handing it to me to ensure accuracy, and asked me if I needed anything else.

My bag not only contained hot, fresh food but also the sauce I asked for (two of them!), napkins AND a straw. That’s all I ask for or expect with fast food. Tremayah was just an added bonus with her pleasant demeanor and work ethic“

“Went to the drive thru in Qxford, ordered two turkey gyros. Got home my husband had some hair in his first bite. I lost my appetite, gave him the other sandwich. It was hairless.“

“SLOW!….I waited over 20 minutes for a 6 piece combo. The fries were dark brown but if you get cajun ranch on them then they are good. Also the prices are higher than other wing places. The wings are good though. I just don’t like that the ‘medium’ wing sauce is HOT. Next time I will get the ‘Mild’ wing sauce.“

“I saw a review on here about someone had the special BBQ Brisket Steakburger and decided I would try it but never got to do it until today and was surprised they still had it going on. LOVED IT!! The BBQ sauce is sweet yet tangy but not overpowering like many BBQ places. The brisket on top of the double steakburgers were plenty and each strip was really meaty and not loaded with a lot of fat like other BBQ places. The pickles and sweet onions on top were a kicker also as they really added to the flavor with every bite. I am glad I had a big hungry appetite though because that burger was more than enough for a meal especially the healthy helping of shoe string fries!! Well done also to the staff for the prompt service from the moment I walked in with a welcome to Freddy's and the friendly smile of the cashier and the thank you from the cook when I picked up my order at the service counter!! Impressive for a fast food operation, but I will admit that having good employees to pass on the right attitude when working is important and this crew made the grade on that and more!! “A hidden gem with delicious food. I had the cajun ranch fries and the catfish combo. It was fantastic. Smaller location, but spectacular food. There was a huge variety of things to eat, I had a hankering for catfish when I found this place. Crispy on the outside with a crumb batter and soft and juicy on the inside it was spot on. The fries where also cooked perfectly for the ranch coating and not getting soggy. Since I had both, I got to enjoy nice crispy fries with my combo and the coated fries. It would be hard to say which one was better. They were awesome as well. Great job. They were busy, so I was curious how it would turn out. Perfectly was the answer I found.“

“It's McDonald's so don't expect anything more than a McDonald's. It's a quick and easy way to get rid of hunger with a lot of things to pick from the easy to read picture menu and reasonably priced, otherwise, the same thing at home would be 30 to 45 minutes to prepare for myself and eat a similar meal, depending on the meal. The food is not a good thing to eat regularly, but I don't think I could even if I wanted to daily eat McDonald's (aka DIY diabetes), but I'm trying to find a good way to eat healthier and save all the potential money spent and keep it a reasonable price so it's a compromise. It's fastfood🤷in America and it's not going anywhere! Employees are typically busy but they are often nice and it's a stressful job. Poor attitude and overreacting is often seen coming from a customer not workers, from my personal experience with McDonald's, and I have few stories from my own experiences. I have a lot of respect for the employees in the food industry because it's tough work. Overall, I never have had a bad experience with any McDonald's beyond a missed burger or fry, and I have enjoyed this one so I don't think I can ask for more than that. I'm not a fan of the app being pushed or the lobby computer used to place the order by the customer. That's why they hire people and it's redundant at best, not to mention it's a lot more work than necessary, many people aren't able to figure out how to use it, or want to waste 30 minutes learning to use it. Clean place btw, but all the main issues are not the staff's fault. I have to recommend this one if you enjoy McDonald's. The food is ready to eat with the same quality as I want from all the chains, fair prices, and expected times are met when I place my order and leave with it. No worries to use the restroom and worry if it's a horror story. My biggest concern is in 10 years we're going to have ai bots running the whole operation so enjoy it while you can see humans at work instead of robots, oh well, 😆🤷 not today at least? Enjoy!! You walk in, and immediately a choir of polite angels in visors says, “My pleasure,” so many times that I start questioning if I’ve entered a parallel universe where politeness is currency.“

“I tried to fill out the survey that is listed on the receipt, but it said the phone number is wrong… so I wanted to say just how nice the gentleman was in the drive through window. My bill was $3.07. I gave him $3 and I was digging in my pocketbook for the change I knew I had. I looked up and he was pulling his own personal change from his pocket. He was clearly intending to give me the 7¢ needed. He didn’t have to do that, but kindness is what I felt and I appreciated that. “I picked up my take out order. I told the staff I needed the strawberry shake. I was told a couple minutes later it was in the bag. I checked and I could see the top of the cup so I left. Got home and it was vanilla. My husband ordered the hot ones burger and there was a quarter size of sauce in the middle of the top bun. His burger was basically dry. My bacon burger was cooked too long, part of it was not edible because it was hard as a rock. This was my first time coming here and I don't plan on returning.“

“I’m still newish to Birmingham and just now trying Guthrie’s. I went shortly after they opened at 11. Their menu is limited but sometimes simple is best. Too many options can feel overwhelming.

I was greeted by Tierra. When I told her that it was my first time trying Guthrie’s, she smiled and confidently said “you’ll be back!”

When I tried my food once I got home… I can tell you that she is correct. It was still hot, very fresh and oh my word was it tasty! I got some of the Guthrie’s original sauce as well as some bbq sauce. It was ALL delicious“

“Great customer service by the young man working when we came. The young man took our order asked if we wanted dessert after we finished our meal we said yes. We were handed our cups for drink sat down and was brought our order to table fast. Young man came and asked if we were ready for our dessert and brought it to us. All while the young man was actually waiting for his break but waited til we were taken care of first.“

“Incredible place to get some straight 🔥chicken wings and lemonade and other drinks are top notch satisfaction for anyone who wants the best wings ever go here and skip BDubs the comparison is like frozen tv dinner to fine dining. Most is the staff are cool. Moe you still owe me my cake and no ice in one and extra in the other.
You gotta love people who are working in the food industry cause I do not have a desire to be a part of this industry in any way to get money for work. “Taco Bell is what I would consider fast food Mexican... ish. I needed to stop somewhere quick for a bite of lunch and stopped in. This is the brand new Taco Bell on Valleydale Rd. The restaurant was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered #10 which consists of two beef tacos and a cheese and steak burrito. The tacos were delicious with a crunchy hard shell, some Mexican flavored beef, sour cream, lettuce and grated cheese. This was the best part of the meal. The burrito was just okay. The melted cheese inside was a processed product like Velveeta or something - not so good. There was some beef in there and what appeared to be, maybe, some artificial bacon pieces?? I didn't finish the burrito and probably won't order that again if I ever go back.“

“This was by far the best packed meal we have recieved from Jack's. I ordered lunch for my employees and everything was packed to perfection, labeled, hot and categorized. I decided to dine in and the young gentleman working the counter was not only efficient, but engaging and had a delightful personality. He came out to the dining room after I got my food and individually checked on each guest there. I usually don't get over to this side of town often, but I will definitely be back. I didn't catch his name, but he mentioned that he worked with Krystal's and also another food establishment across the street. This man deserves commendation and a raise. “I was really impressed by, despite how busy they were, they still moved us through quickly and were friendly.

They did forget one of my sides, and unfortunately I didn't realize until much later, when I was already home.

My one complaint would be all the flies outside! They are almost swarming in the drivethru area, and that is very off putting for future visits.“
