“family of 4. Appetizer of fried mushrooms.Two seafood platters and two shrimp platters. Two sides of gumbo ( a kick of sinus opening spices). All were excellent and absolutely delicious. Platters were full with food. No small portions. We could not finish our plates. You will be leaving with a to go box if not two boxes. Will stop by again. If you looking for worth the place to spend your money and enjoy good food. And the service was great and friendly. Give Hunt's resturant a try.”

They honked because I guess we sat a second too long. They then tried to get their own menus and seat themselves, but were quickly redirected. The hibachi plates always has enough food for two so my wife & I can share a plate. The crab ragoons are another of our favorites.”

“Robert and Elsenna Howard celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary and it was the best because for dinner we went to KBC. The moment you enter the resteraunt you are greeted with a smile and warmest southern hospitality. Once we were seated within minutes of arriving (we had reservations), the experience broadens with Renea our waitress and her awesome meal recommendations and of course we were there for the quail and the duck. Renea loves her job, and trust me those are not words you just say to complete strangers. Renea for president!! Dessert was on her and hey that dessert was heaven. The drink and beer options were really great as well. My husband and I looked around as people came and left and the whole place worked like a well oiled machine. The way everyone asked us about the key to 32 years of marriage, and how others shared their longevity in their marriage made it clear we deserved this. For this moment we were with our people. The atmosphere was great, the food was awesome, fresh and hot!!! yes I said hot. The shrimp appetizers was the bomb.com. We are not from Alabama but are very familiar with the Dothan area, we are just trying to figure out why it took us so long to find our new best resteraunt spot in the world. Thanks to Renea, the hostess, all of the staff who made our night unforgettable until next year.. We are small town, hardworking folks, who love good food, people and this was what we needed to celebrate each other once again. Thanks KBC....”

I selected the steak and chicken. Our chef did an excellent job preparing our meals and entertained us as well. He was very attentive to our requests and interacted well with each guest at our table. Our hostess was very friendly, took our orders quickly, and made sure we had everything we needed. An excellent experience!”

One thing I have decided, work ethics and proper management are not as important as it once was. Many people are “flying by the seat of their pants” because they have been forced into positions they’ve no idea how to operate because of the lack of staff and support. Saying that, there are exceptions.

The server was great and very considerate. I was grateful she shared that the place was understaffed and there could be a longer wait time. She was very busy running the floor and door, but she was doing her best. I understood the situation and knew she couldn’t handle frequent rounds to the tables.

Oftentimes, that info is not disclosed and the attitudes and actions of the servers are horrible, resulting in “hangry” patrons and empty tables.

I did stay and my meal was served just as quick as any other time. And quite delicious I’d say. I’ll have another late night visit to Applebee’s!”

The shop was also wonderful for the experience. Had lots of interesting characteristics, items for sale, great Halloween decorations and a large and good wine selection. We’ve been fortunate to run into a number of interesting coffee shops and this ranks very high on our list of favorites! If you live in Dothan or just passing through it is worth the stop!”

“We were passing through in our RV on our way to Red Bay and stopped here for a beer. What a delightful, unexpected experience. The property owners, Uncle Kenny and his wife, met us in the parking lot on their golf cart. We had great conversation with them and the beer was great! We sampled a couple of beers and settled on the IPA and the JP-8. AMAZING! Then I got a Pecan Brown and hubby got the Blood Orange Blonde. Again, AMAZING! The service, the company, the beer and the venue are awesome. We were the last customers of the night but we will stop there every time we’re near Dothan.”

“**Great Food, But Be Prepared for a Lively Atmosphere**

My girlfriend and I decided to try Sugar Shack for the first time this past Saturday evening around 6:30 PM. Upon arrival, we noticed the parking lot was completely full, with overflow into the neighboring restaurant’s lot. Fortunately, we were able to find parking and headed inside to dine.

The place was packed, likely due to two birthday parties happening at the same time, making it quite loud and filled to capacity. Between the noise from the celebrations and the music, which was at a nightclub volume, it was challenging to have a conversation.

Despite the noise, the food was fantastic. I ordered the Shack Burger with fries and a side of fried shrimp, and everything was delicious! The shack sauce, in particular, is a standout.

While we loved the food, the noise level made it hard to fully enjoy the experience. Next time, we'll likely opt for takeout to enjoy the food in a more relaxed setting.”

Asked questions to learn of our understanding of Indian Cuisine. We were then greeted by Trish who walked us through the menu. Found out what we enjoy eating and made wonderful recommendations including what drink to pair with the meal. Our actually assigned waitress never made it back to us until midstream. She was busy and apologetic - no fault of her own. We were well taken care of. Our waitress provided exceptional service. We were checked on frequently! Trish made sure we had everything we needed. Our waitress purchased me a slice of cheesecake and gave me a birthday tribute - her name is Maria or Marie - she was great! Everyone truly went above and beyond. I felt like we had a team of (3) ensuring we had a memorable experience. Beautiful decor, but still has a cool casual vibe. We ate: Small plate appetizer (Samosa, Tikki, Pakoras) - enough for three people! The Tikki and Samosa were my fav and the darker sauce was superb. Pakoras was a little too crunchy, but good flavor. Rack of Lamb (shared) - enough for three maybe even four people! Naan Feta and Jalapeno Bread 😋 Butter Chicken — DID NOT DISAPPOINT Dip the Naan in the Butter Chicken Sauce with a scoop of rice!! Large portion sizes, so don’t be afraid to share. Great experience!”

And my slaw dog was the best one I’ve ever tasted. It was perfect! Next the Mac and cheese…we shared an order of it and from first bite it was a fight with my husband to keep his paws out of what was supposed to have been OUR Mac and cheese lol this Mac and cheese tasted like Jesus himself had made it. Perfectly creamy. Just the right amount of cheesy. And there Nachos topped with Beef and Cheese….the size you get it’s huge! I was expecting some small little container but nope! We got a heaping container for our money and the nachos were amazingly delicious as well! Woulda been even better if I hadn’t been swatting my husbands hands out of OUR nachos the whole time. Must have cost an arm and a leg right? 2 dogs, Mac and cheese made by Jesus, huge order of nachos and beef, bag of chips, big ole cup of ice cold Pepsi and the best friendliest customer service you can imagine…. All for less than $20!!! As my teens say 10/10 RECOMMEND!”

Location on 84 minutes before I came in to her location..and she was most interested . After asking some questions, she told me that store was one of her charges. The rice I wasn't a fan of. Not your traditional fried rice. Just rice with nothing in it. Minus the shrimp fried rice we ordered. Throw a little bit of diced peas, carrots and onion in it; would be game changing. With a dash of soy sauce just to give it some flavor. Anyways, the pepper steak and general toss was the best of the four things we ordered. As far as the service, friendly cashier and it was clean. Restaurant interior itself could use an update as far as decor/furniture goes but it was clean. As far as takeout Chinese goes, it was good. I'd probably go back again. Just really wish they made actual fried rice.”

“First things first I would have to say that Barberitos is an excellent A+ competitor to Chipotle and especially here in Dothan the Chipotle is hit or miss depending on who's working, managing, and quite possibly the time of day but my first visit to Barberitos I was thoroughly impressed. It was significantly cleaner, had more options with different tortillas-flour, wheat, spinach, chipotle, wider selection of ingredients that were even fresher in some regards (they sautéed my onions, peppers, and even MUSHROOMS just for my order!) and was on point as far as the end cost to the customer along with giving free chips and salsa with every entrée to top it all off?! The salsa bar is awesome with carry out cups & citrus wedges-I tried all three salsas and all were scrumptious ?

“My very favorite place to eat in Dothan. I always get the southwestern quesadilla and a large Mountain Dew. I don’t normally drink Mountain Dew, but for some reason, the little ice balls mixed with the fountain Mountain Dew makes it irresistible to me. I’m sure everything is great here, but I would have no idea as I’ve been coming here for 15 years and I’ve never ordered anything else. It’s that good.
The atmosphere is a lunch vibe, I always see people I know and are able to talk to them easily in passing.
The staff has always been very nice, even though they are super busy.
If you go often, be sure you get a Hot’s Deli frequent-visitor cards. After 6 purchases of any regular priced sandwich, pizza, or large salad you get $3 off any order. I stamp per visit. I think I’m on my 50-1100th card. ?
It’s best to get there around 11 if you want to get in there and get out quickly. They do usually have a line if you get there after 11:30 or so.
They have ample parking and the location is very convenient.

We have to drive 30 miles round trip to pickup pizza. One of our guests began to eat the wrong pizza we brought home. My husband called Marcos and explained the situation. We were told they are new employees and new manager. We were also told to bring the pizza back to let them see it. My husband took a picture of the pizza and it is obvious it was not the pizza we ordered. We expected to be told they would make it up to us on our next trip. We were not. This is the first time we’ve been disappointed since the store opened. Customer service should be better when they make a pizza incorrectly. Otherwise I would recommend this Marco’s.”

Chelsea, Dezmond, Blake, Lindsey, AJ, and few others make coming here worth it. I’d travel across the entire town just to eat here. They know their customers. They live the meaning of customer service. My only problem with Waffle House is they need to put all the menu items on the website to order since they don’t want us to call in orders anymore. This Arby's is a nice place to go if you need to get away for a little while. It is clean and has a peaceful atmosphere, and the employees work hard to please. I've been eating here since they opened, and I've never had a problem. The service is consistently accurate and fast.

My favorite is the Buffalo Crispy Chicken Sandwich with a large Curly Fries and a Dr Pepper, and I can eat two orders of the Jalapeño Poppers with the Bronco Berry Sauce. I also like the Beef & Cheddars with like 3 packs of Arby's sauce. I like the onion bun that they use on those too.
