However, we were somewhat offended to be served such a "very pricey" meal on plastic plates! We were also astounded that according to the menu, you charge $5 for a little dab of horseradish to go with your steak. that is ridiculous! We enjoy fine dining as much as anyone and truly believe that in most cases you get what you pay for and we don't mind paying the price for a wonderful meal, but we also have some expectations. you can certainly make the dining experience better.”

“being able to cook and create your own meal was a lot of fun. food is super good. the only thing we did not like was how insertive the server was before all of our food came out. we wanted to learn and experience together how to go about things and when the server brought out just the meat she started putting things in our broth and putting the meat on the grill. I didnt like that. we went there for an experience together not to have someone just start cooking our food for us before the rest of the ingredients even showed up. I hope next time its better service and we can have a more personal experience.”

“Best snow cones we’ve had in the area. We ordered a stuffed snow cone (scoop of ice cream inside) & a snow cone that comes with a jello filled syringe (I think it’s called “the cure”). In our opinion, this location is much better than the store location (on Old Greenwood Road, I think). The employees at this location were super friendly, efficient, & did a fantastic job.”

“Ignore all the negative reviews. Stonehouse is a wonderful restaurant with excellent food and service. It's not a fast food joint, it's a relaxed, comfortable place to unwind and enjoy a night off. We go there at least once a month, and have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent. Chef Josh and his team are very creative and enthusiastic about their patrons' experience and it shows. Try the spicy shrimp skewer and the ribeye. Delicious. The bartenders are always making something new and can recommend wines that pair with your meal. I highly recommend Stonehouse for big celebrations and small date nights. Just wonderful.”

We like the OG, Marguerita, Cheese, pepperoni, sausage… etc. Tonight at the owner’s suggestion I had pasta, the Goodfellas Special. Shrimp and chicken tossed with aribiata sauce (spicy) and rigatoni. It was perfect! The meat to pasta ratio was just right, the sauce was amazing and they covered my bowl in freshly grated parmesan. I brought pizza home for later, and that will be my new strategy. I also had room for some Tirimisu and it was excellent as well. The Espresso camentheough as it should and the mascarpone cream was delicious. If you have not eaten here, do yourself a favor, and tell them the Professor sent you. Two thumbs up and 5 stars!”

I went with the pork banh mi, and it definitely stood out—crisp bread, flavorful pork, and fresh toppings. The portion was generous and well-balanced, making it one of the better banh mi I’ve had locally. I also tried the taro boba tea, which had a smooth texture and just the right level of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the meal and was a highlight on its own.

While the focus is clearly on pho and Vietnamese comfort dishes, the variety on the menu means there’s something for just about anyone. Pricing is fair for the portions you get, and the attention to freshness is obvious. Seriously though, great atmosphere, great service, cheap drinks. I love this bar.”

The service exceeds by far what other Mexican restaurants offer in town, with Ivanya's beautiful smile and Don Goyo's friendly rounds by the tables, I keep coming every week! Yes, the service at Pho King perhaps isn't what you would call "warm" or friendly - whatever. But "rude" implies that they actually disrespect you in some way, which has never been the case for me. Plus, what really irritates me is that so many of you are not acknowledging that: 1) their food is delicious, and EVERY but as good as Green Papaya's or Pho Hoang's, both of which I've been to many times, if not better, and; 2) the prices, perhaps every bit as importantly, are, on average, about $3.00 cheaper PER comparable menu item, which is a BIG deal for many when choosing a restaurant. So stop worrying about the fact that the wait staff isn't known for their warmth (hey... they still regularly come by and ask if I need a refill or anything else, which is more than I can say for many restaurants!) and start focusing on the things that really make Pho King a great joint to eat at for local Vietnamese food (and I've spent over three years of my life living and teaching in East Asia, so I know a thing or two about good Asian food!).”
