“We are out of towners and had stopped to get my son’s skates sharpened and googled Mexican restaurants nearby, and this one popped up with great ratings. It is accurate! The tamales were good, one of my kids loved the chicken tacos, the other took one bite of the quesadilla and said why is this the best quesadilla I’ve ever had? We all tried it after that, and had to agree! The homemade tortillas and the Mexican cheese they used made it above and beyond any other quesadilla we’ve had. And it sounds so simple and silly, but if you have the chance to visit, you must get it! The horchata was also good. The service was great, we didn’t feel rushed when ordering and food was brought out as it was made. Recommend to anyone wanting good Mexican food and kind service!“

“Went here for the first time in almost 20 years and to my pleasant surprise it is almost unchanged. It's a perfect laid back little hole in the wall. The menu is limited but the achiote seasoned roast chicken the accompanying sides are pitch perfect. The only take cash but there is an ATM next door.“

Pour on the delicious and fresh tomatillo salsa, and enjoy the best under $5 meal in the city. Eat this like 2-3 times a week and it's always hit the spot but not the wallet.“

It's a much healthier alternative to most other Mexican spots - you don't feel heavy/sick after eating. There isn't a pool of grease sitting on the bottom of the burrito like you experience elsewhere.“

“We’ve been coming here a couple times a month for several years now. Would do takeout during the pandemic and are now enjoying their indoor dining experience. Tables are well spaced and it’s always very clean inside. Servers are very nice (Jessie!) and food is delicious. Always look forward to my chile relleno and enchilada combo!“

“Went on Valentines day, made a prior reservation. The environment was romantic & so pretty. Loved both indoor & outdoor scenery. It was a wait on food, an hour before we were served. “🚨 Bomb Mexican Food Spot 🚨

Stopped in for a breakfast burrito the other day and added this to my mind map of bomb spots because it was too good.

The Amado’s breakfast burrito is eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese and is the perfect breakfast blend. Decent size burrito and the salsas were both super tasty.

They have a drive through but I went inside and was surprised at the size of the interior. The vibe was chill and next time I will make sure to take some dollars to play the little claw machine in there. 😉

I will definitely stop by again for another breakfast burrito and to try some of their other dishes as well.

“Visiting my daughter and she had the car when my belly got hungry so my options felt limited…until I tasted my food; now, it’s tomorrow, and I am about to order from here again. It was so good. I got the quesadilla with double carne asada. It was huge! It came with a side of sour cream, (good) guacamole and some pico; my daughter and I got four meals from it.
I’m kinda old and old school so I just called them to place my order; the girl who answered was super sweet and when I showed up to grab my food, she was even nicer. Calling in my order now“

So I called Cervantes and spoke with Grace and she told us they could accommodate our large party and would take care of us. Grace had our table ready for our large party and we had EXCELLENT service from Grace throughout the night. Mariachis music started at 7pm and dinner was lovely. We were celebrating my father's birthday and Grace made sure it would be special. She had the Mariachis sing Happy bday in Spanish and English and she bought out candles for our cake along with plates and utensils.“

“Went there (party of two) last night for a meal of appetizers and drinks. We ordered the shrimp cocktail hoping for a chunky ceviche-type experience. The flavors were good and just the perfect kick. Our preference is a little less tomato juice and a little more of the chunky ingredients (reason for 4 on food). We also ordered the Queso Fundido. Very good flavors. Love the chorizo and the homemade corn tortillas.

Cadillac marg in a small glass...$19 (yikes!). Good but maybe not worth that price.

Service was excellent.

Downsides on this restaurant in general is how loud it is inside (reason for 3 of atmosphere) and how challenging to park(nothing they can do about parking).

Whoever owns this corner has put wayyyy too many busy restaurants in place for the amount of parking. So, if you want to come here arrive early as the restaurant is popular and they do not take reservations.

“Well...I did not eat here. But, I did go inside the store and talked to one of the staff to get permission to park my car there for a few hours. They were exceptionally cordial and friendly.

I was going to combine my daily walk with visiting the sporting good store in Chandler; and just didn't want to do the full 10 mile walk in the 110 degrees. So, I drove from my hotel and parked at the El Pollo Loco to shorten it to 6 miles.

On my next work trip to Phoenix, I will definitely stop in to dine!“

“My family calls this location “The World Famous Filiberto’s” the food is always hot and fresh, nachos are amazing and it just seems that the employees are putting their heart into preparing the food. For us this location is out of the way but well worth the extra few miles.“

“Best Tuesday taco special in town. $1.30 something per taco. They’re loaded with beef and cheese and lettuce and crispy! Get a water with it and 4 tacos and you’ll be full. I think 5 is too many unless you’re absolutely starving and even still. My favorite is the green salsa.“
