I came in between board exams and asked for a place out of the way so I could study, from the hostess to my server and every inbetween went out of their way to make sure I was having a good experience and never once made me feel in the way. “We were in town for a baseball tournament and our children wanted some rice and noodles. We stopped in here because of the reviews and they did not disappoint. The fried rice was delicious! We also enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and egg drop soup. What made the experience so pleasant was the staff. The owner came over and talked with us for a bit. He was very friendly and personable. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place!”

“DO IT! Let me say if you are ever in Baton Rouge, LA you have to stop here. Mr. Bellue sat with us as we ate. He had a sample a little bit of everything before ordering. He told us how he was a retired police officer and opened his own welding company which was conveniently located next door. He said cooking was always his hobby. From the Yams to Mustard Greens to Fried Boudin to Crawfish Etoufee.. omg my belly was full. Great Food and Great Convo. He has a map to pin what locations of the world have been there. We put McQueeney on the map!”

This is not a place that you would just happen upon, you have to be looking for it. The atmosphere is great and it’s not too loud to have a conversation. We started with the crawfish queso. It came with pork skins instead of chips. Fantastic. The queso was very flavorful and there was plenty of it. I ordered the seafood pot pie. The crust was very flaky and the flavor screamed Louisiana seafood. Crab, crawfish, and shrimp. It was very hardy and meaty. My wife ordered the crustless crab pie with Gouda grits. The grist were the first I have had with Gouda, and they were very good. The crab pie was very tasty. Somewhere between a crab cake and an omelette. This place is comfort meets Cajun. Pot pie, queso, and crab cake”ish”. Our server was Grace and she is super. She got my tea wrong and instead waiting to see if I noticed, she immediately realized her mistake and corrected it. She was extremely professional and among the best servers I have had in a long time. This is a return to hole in the wall. It is well hidden, but well worth the journey! Ask for Grace and tip her well.”

“Extremely rude workers. They delete comments if they don't like the review. We had a party of 10 and waited like they asked then they tried to seat us at a table for 6 people. Five people would be piled on top of each other on a booth. asked to add a table ( there were 3 empty tables right by us) they said no but we could wait an additional hour for a table. asked for manager and a girl comes out saying she is manager. No apologies no nothing. We did call ahead and were told no same day reservations but they had a big enough table to accommodate us. I have been reading reviews and there are a ton similar to our experience. It's starting to seem they do not want to accommodate large parties and try to make the experience so unbearable that they eventually leave. We ALWAYS tip over 25 percent even when service sucks. Their loss!!”

“The service was amazing. Restaurant decor was good, very cozy with a bit of flair. Most of our food was great, the grilled fish and risotto were amazing. The rabbit and gnocchi were great as well. My wife ordered the fried fish plate which was so-so, the breading didn't have any spice or flavor. The fish and oysters were good and very fresh, but the shrimp tasted a little off. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which had shrimp as well and it also tasted off, and the remoulade had way too much mustard in it. Overall I was impressed, but those two dishes with the shrimp weren't great. That coupled with the eye watering prices would make me skip this place if I had it to do over again.”

I had the Chicken Sandwich, Mild chicken combo & it was hands down the BEST chicken sandwich I’ve ever had at a fast food place! Like emphasis on “chicken” because not only was the chicken hot, fresh & flavorful, even at “Mild.” It was a massive piece of chicken. Like to had to cut it in half & I still could’ve made nuggets out of the excessive half I just cut. The fries was even good & not those plain freezer fries. I also saw they have a “HALAL” tag as well, so just incase anyone has that as a factor in eating here. I forgot to that pics, but this place definitely is my new recommendation places out here! My only complaint is there was a bit of a wait, but if it’s because of the care they take in preparing my order, then I’ll take it because that sandwich was THAT GOOD! May this place flourish with many new customers! ❤️”

It was a horrible day until the nicest server/waitress I have ever had sat us down. She couldn’t have known what we were going through or how much she brightened our day. She was pregnant, I know that. Otherwise I don’t remember her name. One of those days I guess. She just had this light about her and when she smiled Everything seemed a little better. I think God put her there at that moment. Hopefully she will be there the next time we go. But if not I was posting this to tell her thankyou for being you. And good luck with your pregnancy. “A friend referred me to Stone and Cloth last year, when I told her I was looking for a new stone for my breakfast table. My mother and I walked into their shop pre-lockdown and were warmly welcomed by Kelly Kirby. She gave me great suggestions for a replacement stone and a list of the Stone Distributors in town to search for my desired slab. Her suggestion for the marble was spot on and that’s the one we selected for our breakfast table. Since I placed my order during the lockdown, installation was delayed until phase 2 would allow for work to commence. During the waiting period, Kelly worked with me regarding having my existing breakfast table stone retrofitted for one of my bathroom counters. They removed the existing sink and under-mounted a new one to freshen up bathroom. At the same time, we realized the remaining piece of the slab for the breakfast table would fit perfectly in a second bathroom and a new sink under-mounted as well. We are very pleased with the excellent fabrication of all of the stone work and the installers had been polite, thorough and efficient. I highly recommend using Stone and Cloth for all of your building needs.”
