“My close friend recommended this place, and we decided to try it out together. It was my first time having fluffy soufflés, and they were so good—super light, airy, not overly sweet, and packed with flavor. I absolutely loved them.

We also ordered two drinks. I can’t remember the exact names, but I believe one was the Hiel signature latte and the other was an Einspänner. Both were very yummy and not overly strong, which made them easy to enjoy.

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and I also live very close by, so it’s definitely convenient for me. One small thing to note is that the tables were a bit dirty when we sat down. I think it would be great if staff could check and wipe tables more often after each customer leaves.

Overall, it’s a lovely spot and I’d still recommend giving it a try—especially for the soufflés. Yummy!“

“This place surprised me in the best way. The sandwich was excellent. Fresh ingredients, crisp lettuce, thick cut bacon, and a perfectly toasted bagel with a generous layer of cream cheese. Everything tasted balanced, simple, and satisfying.

The vibe is cozy and relaxed. You can tell they care about the details. The sandwich is pinned so it holds together, the plates look inviting, and the menu is creative without being fussy. Seasonal bagel sandwiches are a great idea.

The staff is super friendly too. It feels genuine, like they are happy you came in.

The owner is an absolute gem with such a warm, loving energy to him, and he even gave my friend a bit of the apple fritter to go with her cinnamon bun just because she expressed interest in it earlier in the conversation! (She very much enjoyed both 😊 !) Such a cute, cozy environment, lovely and quiet outdoor seating... It really felt local and relaxed. Can't say enough good things about this place! “I really like a cafe that feels family owned, and I really appreciate the care you receive from a business like this. I was greeted so warmly, the woman running the shop made me a bubble waffle with whipped cream and a honey lemon tea, and I enjoyed both immensely. I sat at a little table and peacefully studied for an hour, and I enjoyed the ambiance. It's not a modern, Western interior. It's the same sort of vibe you would get at Happy Day Cafe. “This place is always very busy, and it's well justified. If you can forgive the lack of parking spaces, it is worth any walk in the rain. Today, my friend and I had their salted caramel cake and it was basically like eating a fluffly, creamy, absolutely decadent cloud. It was one of the best cakes I have ever tasted.“

“I went in today to grab an oatmeal jammer cookie for my son but when I got there they were sold out! The Barista who helped me out was kind enough to make me a fresh batch while I worked. And it just goes to show what exceptional customer service you can always count on when you go to JJ Bean. I was so appreciative of him going out of his way to make a fresh batch cookies for me and the usual barista also told me he was able to bake some for me while she was on her break. Definitely one of the kindest things anyone has done.“

“Been going here for a few years now. Loved the old turkey cranberry pabnuni but new one does not have Brie anymore. Soup was lukewarm but tasty. Good baked goods. We have had a few of the sandwiches and like them all. Nice in warm weather to sit outside.“

All was good. 90s pricing lol, it's good, come on down and support this mom and pop, we did and will come back again, absolutely! Tons of parking and the owner/chefs wife is super nice! You can go to mcds and spend just under $10 for a sausage and egg McMuffin meal....or you can come here and grab a ham omelette with toast and hash browns for 12.95+tax. You will get twice the amount of food guaranteed..and I would know LOL! Absolute GEM!“

“I work in the area. Lovely 10 min walk to get here. All the scones were gone by noon. (Warning for the scone lovers. Get here early!)

All good cuz I was here for savoury. Ohhh the butternut squash soup hit that spot so good. Rich, squashy, also hint of sweetness from green apple. Smooth and wonderful. Served with skyflakes crackers (which I've been craving).

The pineapple coconut loaf looked divine. I will have to get it next time.

“The line up can be long at peak times, even extending beyond the door of the cafeteria. Food offerings are very reasonably priced and affordable. Food is not bad. Staff are helpful, but not out of their way friendly. Very crowded during lunch with no tables left, however, there is seating outdoors. Food is prepared within 5-15 minutes, depending on item and time. Disposable wooden cutlery is available, self-serve. There is a coffee machine, but it is sometimes out of service.

The coffee there tastes not all that great.
But the caffeine level in that coffee was amazing.
First class of my day was calculus.
That coffee got me through it no problem.

“This ia loacted in the 3000 level of the Academic Quadrangle in SFU. There are separate Sandwich, Sushi, Soup, Stir fry, Pizza, breakfast and tea with delis counters which serve different food menu. Some of those have daily special items. They have a good selection from many world wide cusines. A subway is also located inside cafe. And there is a large area of chairs and tables that contains different levels of comfort. It is open for breakfast and lunch.

Vegetarian options: There are few options at every station.“

“No idea why the average here is so low, this is a top tier campus coffee place. I love love love their shaken iced teas, literally scrumptious with different syrup flavours so you can switch it up, and full of the caffeine a full time student needs. All other drinks are delicious too. I get their samosas a lot and they're great too, have tried some of the desserts too. The service can be a bit slow sometimes but it's also usually insanely busy as it's a campus hotspot, so like what do you want them to do?? I am already looking forward to my first Blenz visit this September!“

“We recently ordered bingsu here twice on different weekday lunchtimes and were really impressed with the care the kitchen staff put into making them on both occassions. They not only looked great but tasted great! When paying $20+ for a dessert, this is the kind of effort and service one would expect. “Had a croissant breakfast sandwich at 6:30am was surprisingly cheap (6$) tastes good and a can of coke, nice atmosphere (lighting/music).

Service felt a bit rushed for first thing in the morning but no biggy, not all items on the menu are available this early in the morning (wanted to try the Korean pork on rice).

Saw a lot of poor reviews mostly complaining about the coffee drinks here but all the good reviews say the food options are good (and they do look good in the display) so might want to stick with that if you try this place.

Imo not a bad place to chill for a bit if you are waiting to get service at the other companies in this complex.“
