“Been quite awhile since I've been to a restaurant where I've left saying I would 100% return! And we would here!Food was delicious, the drinks were so good. And the waitress for our table was amazing! We will totally return and I highly recommend!“
“With out a doubt, this is the best dinner I’ve ever had! This is a well kept secret, but all I can say is the chef is an amazing creator and the flavours are outstanding. This beautiful fine dining restaurant is quaintly situated in a small home and produces extraordinary dishes. As a bonus… their wine list has great depth. Don’t miss a meal here. I’ve been eating here for the past 25 years, each time I visit SSI and the food is consistently excellent!“
“Saturday night dinner out at the Cobblestone Pub was fantastic! The Iranian dinner special was AMAZING…kudos to the chefs…as were the wings. Jered at the bar…personality plus -hang onto that guy! Great experience overall…we’ll be back!“
“What a fantastic gem located in Shawnigan Lake. This restaurant is worth the drive from Victoria to eat at!It is hard to see from the road, but once you park, the experience begins! They have a large parking area, which is really helpful. You then walk down a few stairs (or can access with a walker / wheelchair via a small road beside the stairs). The views are gorgeous as you approach this lakeside restaurant. The building is beautiful, rustic, and perfectly set up to maximise patrons' views of the water!Staff are lovely, friendly, and attentive! And then, what people really care about - the food! The food was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious! Their drinks (mine was non-alcoholic) were so delicious! I loved that they had a decent sized mocktail menu! I love that they have a seasonally changing menu, it means always new things to try!I wish we had room for dessert, but alas, I guess we'll just have to come enjoy it another time!It would be great for a nice night out or a casual meal with kids and friends. Thanks for the fantastic experience!“
“Anything that isn't poutine kinda sucks, not gonna lie. I had the Crispy Chicken sandwich, and it was not worth the price of admission. Tasted like a Jane's breaded chicken patty deep fried. The poutine, however? Pretty good! Highly recommend the poutine, their gravy and fries are amazing.Kid-friendliness: Not very friendly to small children, the park it's located in has a nasty wasp problem during the summer and fall.“
“Had a lovely lunch at the vineyard about a week before Xmas. My second time there. My lunch companion had the burger which she loved and especially noted the natural flavour of the beef- definitely from a local farm! My own lunch was spaghetti carbonara and it had a great smokey flavour and the pasta was perfectly firm as it should be. The server was delightful and added ti the pleasant experience. I must say that the lemon tart that we each had was one of the most delicious tarts I had EVER eaten in my life. As a lemon lover I never pass up a lemon tart. Normal tarts are quite acidic and have meringue but this tart was so beautiful to look at. The custard was creamy, the pastry just yielded to the slightest touch of my fork and it was presented on a smudge of sesame paste! On top was a sprig of basil and dehydrated raspberries. It was heaven! I still think of it weeks later! Yes, that’s the tart below and I hope the photo does it justice.“
“Wasn't busy when we came, but the waitress was incredible. Extremely friendly, took time to chat with us and get to know us, turns out I knew her from my daughter's school a year back too. It's nice to visit a place where the staff cares about their customers.“
“Nice atmosphere. They have an upstairs but didn't go up there. I always like whan an establishment features local artist's work.I had the Dunkin Dunkle, I was surprisingly light like a lager but malty like a porter. The food was good. The service was good.“
“So good! This is a walk up window with an outdoor seating area in front. It is a tiny mom and pop place, so it takes a little while but oh so worth it! Fresh and delicious. We had grilled halibut that was just perfect, mine on a yummy salad and hubby's on a sandwich with generous fries. Just fyi, there are picnic tables behind the marine museum a short walk from this place that are more spacious.“
