“We stopped by Browns Socialhouse on our way to the ferry terminal and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind before continuing our journey. I opted for the Spicy Ginger Beef, and true to its name, it packed just the right amount of heat. The flavors were bold and balanced, with the perfect level of spice to keep things interesting. Pairing it with a crisp, chilled Pinot Grigio was an excellent choice, as the wine’s refreshing notes perfectly complemented the dish.

Our server was fantastic—attentive, polite, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It’s always nice to have staff that checks in without being overbearing, and she struck that perfect balance. Service like this really elevates the dining experience.

Whether you’re in a rush or looking for a place to linger, Browns Socialhouse is a great option. It was the perfect pit stop before catching our ferry, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!“

“very Friendly and Awesome food“

“The food at Cactus, regardless of the location, is always a 10/10. I’m a big fan of Cactus and always recommend it for group outings as they can accommodate large groups and usually can find reservations same day.

This location in Delta is definitely not as nice as other locations I’ve been to in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Calgary. The inside of the building doesn’t really match the cactus modern design, it feels like it was a Boston pizza or something else and they did minimal renovations to make it work. The big noticeable item for me was the bathrooms were not up to Cactus standards and were pretty gross. The whole floor was carpeted which I have never seen in a Cactus, and one of the staff kept walking around vacuuming while people were eating which was weird and uncomfortable. And it’s not like something spilled or anything.

Beyond that, the food and service was good, we were there Saturday night around 6PM and the place was busy. We sat near the fireplace which is a nice touch. The outside patio seating looked nice but it is right next to a busy road.

Plenty of parking available, should not be an issue finding a spot.

“Great Whitespot menu selection. Service was exceptional. Happy staff who were fast and efficient. Bottomless fries was awesome for hungry teens with bottomless stomach's. Shakes are massive. Dry garlic ribs was a sleeper hit. Typically great burgers 🍔 lots of free parking and there is car service as well.“

"I'll admit, I've walked past the Pub many times, thinking it looked a bit... sketchy** But, boy, was I wrong! The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm smiles from the lovely staff - and I mean lovely in every sense of the word...

The service was top-notch, attentive, and friendly. My waitress very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. But what truly impressed me was the genuine hospitality. It felt like they actually cared about dining experience.

And the food? Absolutely delicious! Although < if you don't have the RYE for the pastrami sandwich it's ok that butter w condiments did the trick 😉> also who know my cocktail was little cheaper then my beer 😆..

I'm thrilled to have been proven wrong about this hidden gem. Don't let appearances fool you - Pub is a must-visit. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and stunning staff I totally forgot to take Pictures coz my servicer tho.. lol

“Lobster omelet was really delicious. They They cheap out on ingredients, it was loaded with cheese and there's lobster meat in every bite. Coffee was refilled 3 times when my cup was half full. I didn't even ask for a refill, the server noticed it when walking by or cleaning the table next to me, which shows how professional the staff are.“

“Hosting our wedding at Riverway was definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. It is such a beautiful and centrally-located venue. The ceremony space is right by the water and is truly so stunning in the summer. The indoor reception space is large with wooden beams and natural lighting, which meant we didn’t have to invest in as much décor as well as it was already naturally beautiful. Bradley is such an incredibly kind and patient person – we had so many questions in the months leading up to the wedding, and he answered all of them in such a timely and thoughtful manner. He was so helpful for our rehearsal as well and he even checked in with us in-person on the day of, to congratulate us and to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We feel so lucky that we worked with Bradley for the wedding – even though he must deal with so many couples, he definitely made us feel cared for and was a big reason for why we were so happy with our venue choice.

Additionally, because the venue is owned by the City of Burnaby, we really appreciated that there were no hidden fees that we had to account for such as administrative fees, taxes, or service charges. The bartending and event staff were also very attentive and kind, and the buffet line ran very efficiently despite that we had 200+ guests. We got so many compliments from our family and friends on how beautiful the wedding was and most importantly, how delicious the buffet was (in particular, the mashed potatoes, striploin, and sticky toffee pudding). We feel so lucky that we were able to snag a spot in the summer for our wedding at Riverway – it is definitely one of the best venues in Metro Vancouver and we would highly recommend it to any couple!

“To me it's a breakfast place and a popular one but they serve more that that, there's chinese specials and burgers on the menu too. The decor isn't much to write home about but it's clean, The owner will greet you with a friendly hello and you can even get a refill on your coffee, most of the time you never have to ask. I've never been disappointed ever and I've been going there many years.“

“Our group of eight came for lunch on a weekday early December 2023. This was our fourth time here in five years. Prices are reasonable and the venue is comfortable and open with many tables looking on to the greens and gardens. The young female server we had was delightful, charming and lovely (sorry didn't get her name). Our food came all together and was fresh, hot and each order was spot-on.Six of us opted for burgers -- one Meadows Loaded, one Black Bean Veggie, and four Wild Salmon which turned out to be Sockeye(?). The Salmon Burger afficionado in the group, the one who orders it anytime it's on the menu, said it was a very good Salmon Burger.Another ordered the Butter Chicken, his cleaned off plate was obvious testament to its respectability considering his South Asian roots.The last of our group had the Seafood Pasta which really impressed. The sockeye salmon, prawns and scallops were fresh, plentiful and perfectly cooked (not overcooked!!!). The whole dish was delicicous, perfectly seasoned, not heavy and not salty (thank you!).? The serving was too large to finish but the diner still raved about the meal when they polished off the remainder at home hours later. “Super affordable and satisfying poutine and soft serve. The poutine is properly seasoned, fries are creamy inside but well fried on the outside and the curds are melty and give great cheese pulls. The maple soft serve is everything you want in soft serve and not too sweet!

The service is quick, friendly and reliable! They know what they are doing.

Just be warned that there is no AC and it is HOT in the summer heat. I recommend getting the poutine and eating in the shade outside for some air and returning for ice cream when you're ready.“

“We were visiting from out of town and stopped at Cactus Club for my partners birthday dinner. We are so happy we chose Cactus as the food and service were great!

We were lucky to have Ghayass as our server and they were amazing! Very attentive and made our birthday celebration feel special. Huge shout out to Ghayass!

For food we started with the calamari and it was amazing, I could have eaten a large entree sized portion of just this! We also got a green goddess salad that was great and the bolognese pasta which was really good.

We ordered a crème brûlée for desert and Ghayass made it special by bringing it out with a happy birthday message and a candle, thank you so much! The dessert was amazing!

“Wow who could have thought you can find an all you can eat lunch buffet for $18 but here it is.
The signage is only in Chinese, so it was a hard place to find as it is in a side entrance of hazelbridge way on the east side of the parking structure.
Seating is free for all, so you just sit yourself down. Then you have to pay first Cash or Debit only guys! They give you a paper cup and a metal tray and you bring the tray to the food area where you choose the food and they scoop.

Food was decent, white rice to start, lots of meat, some veggies but a good selection of beef, pork, chicken.
We had pork belly, beef brisket with potato, tomato and egg, black bean chicken, eggplant and potato.

A good selection of buyable drinks or you can get free tea or water from the right side of the bar area.

Bathrooms were clean and fashionable.
I think it is a great price for good tasting Chinese food!“

“Been coming to this location for about 15 years or so. Don’t believe I’ve ever reviewed this place, but I wanted to share something positive that happened today.

To make this short, there was an issue with my meal today. No big deal, it was taken off the bill. However, not only did the manager take it off the bill, he also gave me an extra appy on the house as well as give the person eating with me a free dessert. Pure class.

The manager’s name is Kevin and he handled the situation very well. Not only in regard to the bill, but his manners were top notch as well. I haven’t had service like this in a long time, so it was a very pleasant experience and now I can’t wait to return to this location.“
