“Arigatou ありがとう !This little joint is dope, an awesome spot to grab some good eats sushi grub when your in the hurry from RCH Hospital which has limited options within the area, especially those that are literally adjacent and 200 meters from the entrance. The Agedashi Tofu 揚げ出し豆腐 I must admit was super weird and tasted more like fish stick style batter or nuggets, rather than Tempura. Albeit, the rest of the sushi was plentiful portion and plenty of yummy fresh Edamame 枝豆. The Dynamite Roll 炸虾卷 in fairness was the yummiest, totally dig the added crunchy Yam in there as a sweet edition.Super friendly couple running a quaint, low fuss and minimalistic sushi and poké joint with a nice vibe after very reasonable fare.Support local businesses!“
“Honestly,The service and the overall look and authenticity of the restaurant blew me away.I ordered the Meal for One w/ Original Chicken Ramen and the Pork Gyoza, trust me when I say this it did disappoint!I needed a bit of a ramen hit and this was exactly what I needed. Murali, my server, was amazing and hospitable, and that's truly what I desire when I walk into any type of restaurant.“
“Phenomenal ramen and other delicious Japanese dishes! Highly recommend the "Black Garlic Ramen" if you're a garlic fan. I get it every time I go!Vegetarian options: Good tofu dishes!Parking: Couple side streets with paid parking. There are two parking spots in the bank parking lot but they're often taken“
“A place with good mazesoba (dry mixed noodles) with reasonable price! The noodle itself is very flavourful, and they also have condiments like vinegar and chili flakes for you to adjust the flavour to your liking. They also have very generous portion sizes, and you can add extra noodle for free (portion size comes in regular, XL, XXL). They also provide a small bowl of rice at the end to mix with all the leftover sauces at the end.We ordered the Niku Mazesoba (Spicy) for $16.50 and added a soil boiled egg on the side for $1.99. We both left very satisfied. Will definitely come back again!“
“Been coming here for around the last 4 years, there has been small adjustments but overall, the quality, portions size, value are still all 5 stars. The Black Ramen and Spicy are goto, where the Black Ramen is particularly unique with great flavor. We usually pair it with a Chicken Karrage which are in very fair portions.Honestly one of the better Ramen places in Vancouver, and I would also say Burnaby aswell.“
“Don't let the exterior fool you, this is a gem of a hole in the wall. The ramen was delicious and well spiced--the flavour and umami of it is great! The chasu and smoked pork are so tender and absolutely fantastic, the pork really does just melt in your mouth. I think the only thing I'd like, is if they were part of a delivery service.“
“Had an amazing bowl of chasu tamago ramen at Maruhachi recently, and I can't recommend it enough! The flavors in that bowl are something else—rich, comforting broth, perfectly tender chasu, and the tamago was just the right level of runny. You've got to try it with the garlic chips on top; it elevates the whole experience. And a shoutout to Eddy, our waiter, who was super nice and friendly. He made our dining experience even better with his great service. If you're a ramen enthusiast, you need to check this place out!“
“First time at this location/branch and our experienced with other 6 friends was very good. The place was a bit busy for dinner time but the very nice staff managed to find us a table. The place was very nice and spacious and staff were friendly and very accommodating. This location serves a bit more of noodles than other locations. I'm very happy and satisfied with my Tamago Ramen as they're consistent with the taste and creaminess of their broth.“
“Service was very friendly and extremely fast - my wife and I were doing some errands nearby and had to grab a quick bite before leaving, and our ramen arrived within five minutes after placing the order. The taste of our ramen was decent, not great. As others have pointed out, the soup base appears to be on the blend side. The spicier soup base tasted better, but that probably is more of a personal taste. The meat was fresh and tender; the noodles were not the best quality but were all right.Price was reasonable enough - again, decent, but not great.“
“Love the food here! It's our first time visiting this branch andy first time trying their products.Their location is super accessible and along the road.Maxene, our server, is amazing, attentive, and takes good care of us.Will definitely go back :)“
“It’s much more spacious than the store at Station Square, and it has a high ceiling so it’s not stressful to eat. It’s very comfortable. The waiters are very nice and attentive, and you can reserve a table in advance. The dry noodles are their signature, and their soup noodles are also good, and they are always There are different seasonal limited editions to try. The ice cream is also delicious, but it sells out quickly. You can also walk around the restaurant. There are also walking trails along the river embankment, but because there are still many unfinished construction sites, there are Sometimes some roads will be closed and you need to turn around to get out.Parking: The building has a free underground parking lot, but there are not many parking spaces. There are also paid parking spaces on the street nearby. If it is a Friday or Saturday night, it will be a little difficult to find a parking space.“
“This was the first place I went to after coming to Vancouver. The food was okay but loved the service. The server was very sweet and kind. I had katsudon curry rice so maybe I should go back for ramen and re-review their food. Over all a 7/10“
“An exquisite and small Japanese ramen shop, the ramen and fried food are not sloppy at all. The very rich miso soup, freshly fried chicken Tangyang is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the fried tofu also comes with 2 flavors of dipping sauce. The chili sauce condiment is very spicy and strong.“
“The pork cutlet was as delicious as they said, and the sauce was just my style~~~ If there had been macaroni salad, I think it would have been the perfect composition. Please note that Budae Jjigae is available in small sizes! The taste of Nolbu’s budae stew that you can’t make at home!!I am eating well.“
“I am surprised by its authentic taste. That is exactly the kind of ramen you can find in every other corner of any Japanese street.Tourist visiting Japan and people from overseas often visit more modern ramen and thought that is the standard of ramen. But really, what Honjin serves, are the most traditional form of ramen in Japan.I recommend Japanese style TanTanMen. I cannot find the same authentic tantanmen in Vancouver.People are friendly, kitchen and washrooms are exceptionally clean. And price is reasonable!i highly recommend it.(People complain about it being oily or soso are those really don’t know what Japanese ramen is.)Parking: plenty if parking weekdays and nights.Kid-friendliness: Kids meal under $10!Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, spacious, easy to access.“
“I've been going to this place since its opening as I went to a high school nearby. It's always been our go to spot since the food is cheap and had great portion sizes. Their ramen may not be the best but their other meals are amazing! We always order a vegetable and a fish dish. For a place that has so many dishes on their menu, it's surprisingly good!“
“This upscale yet casual, trendy Japanese restaurant specializes in ramen, particularly their delicious Mazesoba dishes. The fine dining decor sets a sophisticated atmosphere, but the vibe remains laid-back and chill. With a range of Mazesoba options to choose from, each one delicious, it's hard to go wrong. Highly recommended for those seeking affordable, mouthwatering Japanese cuisine. Convenient free parking is available in the underground mall parking lot. Remember to get your free bowl of rice if you order the Mazesoba!“
“This is a no cash restaurant they olny accept plastic. The service was great, very friendly, and the food was served in a timely manner. The menu was a bit limited, for someone on a special diet. The quality of the food is excellent, we will definitely go back.Vegetarian options: For the vegetarians, there is a currey dish that looked pretty good.“
“Got the spicy chicken ramen (hot level) and it was a good amount of spice. The soup was flavourful, the thin noodles were a great texture, and the chicken was super tender.Only issue was we stood at the front for a little bit before they seated us, even though we tried to make ourselves more noticeable by stepping further into the restaurant. Wonderful experience otherwise.“
“First time eating at Jinya Ramen Bar. Very good presentation and atmosphere, service was good too.Now onto the food. Ramen is priced on the higher side. While it’s good, it’s definitely not as good as some of the other ramen restaurants available in Vancouver. There wasn’t a wow factor, but it’s delicious enough to satisfy a ramen craving.“
“I love the pork chasiu ramen with garlic sauce while my husband enjoys his ramen with spicy sauce. Rich & hearty broth. We both like the perfectly cooked extra egg. The honey lemon soda was a great combination of bitter, sweet and sour flavor, very refreshing on a warm day. They have clean bathrooms. Happy to come back.“
