“Haven't been to Yuu for a while and we went back last week. Price didn't go up much despite the inflation. Kids order some special drink and the staff even gave them a small ice-cream cone to top it off. Great gesture. Would definitely be going back more often.“

“We made a reservation for dinner on Apr 22nd because we went the weekend before and it was 1 1/2 hour wait. The food was really good but small portions. We booked for 5:30pm and left at 8pm and not by choice. We took our 7 year old. His food came within about 20-30 minutes. While we got our miso, edamame and salad one at a time, It took over an hour to get our BBQ meat, and longer to get our bowls of rice. 2 1/2 hours to get our bill (with me stopping someone to ask for the bill). Our son was super excited to cook meat but was getting upset with all the waiting. Quite honestly, the 2 adults with him were too. But I would give it a try again because the food was good“

“Had lunch omakase yesterday, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. The chef and staff were very friendly and talkative! I was delighted to try a new sake. I can confidently say this is the highest quality omakase I’ve had in Vancouver—better than the two Michelin-starred Japanese restaurants I’ve tried before. The only thing I think could be improved is that the flavors were a bit on the salty side. If they were a touch milder, it would better highlight the freshness of the ingredients. We also celebrated our anniversary here, and the staff were kind enough to take a photo for us.“

“Google review shows 4.1 for this place. Joke? lol. Where I came from, this is very authentic Suzhou / Shanghai cuisine. At par with those high quality restaurants in Shanghai. Three days in a row dine in here, food quality is very consistent and no single entry was disappointing! Keep up the good work 桂! See you next when I am back.“

“Affordable place for dinner. Food was great. Service was good. They even offered me free cup of tea. I guess that’s the reward for only needed 1 pair of chopsticks when she offered me 2 pairs.
Dumplings were super tasty, fresh and you can taste it’s hand made. Boneless chicken was good too“

“The food overall is good specially the seafood pancake and the tofu soup. Prices are reasonable. The service is very good and very helpful. No matter dine in or take out. The owner also very nice. If order take out, suggest to order directly rather then through those food apps. The price has big different. The worst par is the parking, the parking lot always full. You can pay and park on the street most of the time.“

“Solid noodle spot reminiscent of Hong Kong (though I’m not sure if it’s the same chain as Mak’s). It’s a local favourite in Richmond and can get quite busy, the interior is a bit dated, but don’t let that fool you as you’re there for the noodles.
The pricing is a bit expensive, you get around 3 dumplings or 3-4 wontons in the small soup bowl.
It’s also cash only, some come prepared.
The beef noodles are my go to favourite, again, pricey for the portion, but tasty.“

“The shrimp rice rolls is recommended.
There were other comments saying that the soy sauce was bland, but it's not it's normal salty soy.
Lots of condiments for your congee, rice rolls or noodles.“

“This is the company's business meeting meal, so I chose it here.
This is my first time coming to this store. After looking at the menu, if it's a meal or noodles for one person, it's basically $20-$30.
There are a lot of high-end ingredients used, such as black truffles, prawns, steaks, etc., and there are both Chinese and Western dishes. This is also the unique advantage of Hong Kong food.
The fish and steaks are all quite fresh and tender, which shows that the chef has good control over the heat and the ingredients are of high quality.
Among them, the one that impressed me the most was a dish of steamed fish with chopped pepper. I thought that Hong Kong-style restaurants are not good at cooking spicy dishes, but this spicy fish greatly refreshed my understanding. Spicy, smooth and extremely elastic. This chewy texture is like eating a hot girl from Sichuan and Chongqing with a fierce personality and fair and tender skin. I wanted to eat a few more pieces, but everyone at the table loved it, and the plate of fish was quickly wiped out.
Typhoon shelter crabs and sand crabs also take the lead. The presentation is beautiful, delicious and plump, and it is a pleasure to eat.
This restaurant has enough class and is more suitable for gatherings with brand names. This restaurant is also a suitable place to start to take Westerners step by step to experience the breadth and depth of Chinese food.“

“I rarely visit Landsdowne. I just came out of toys r us and needed a simple lunch. I noticed there seems to be value here when I saw the cook plating the food. The portions looked big and they smelled really good. So I took a shot.
I ordered the teriyaki chicken combo with noodles. It also comes with a pop. For $9.50 before tax, it’s a generous plate. It’s simple and tasty. Friendly prices leaving you full.“

“Decent place to try out for hotpot. Affordable prices. Good to try out if u want skewers and hotpot into the same pot. Wish there was a variety of beef types to try. Also disappointed that this place doesn’t offer free dessert, it cost an additional fee for the ice cream.“
