“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a gem! Five and Dime Diner in Sidney is an absolute must. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest hostess (I sadly didn’t catch her name, but she was so welcoming), and the atmosphere instantly felt warm, nostalgic, and just happy. Our server Chelsea was the cutest vibe ever! She fit the place perfectly. Super friendly, personable, and made the whole experience feel really personal and relaxed. You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and it shows. The food? Banging. Great prices and seriously delicious. I had a roasted chicken wrap with tzatziki and a bunch of fresh veggies, plus a side salad, and it was SO good. Fresh, flavourful, and filling without being heavy. And the little details?? Instead of the usual mint at the end, they give you a piece of retro bubble gum. Such a fun, nostalgic touch that totally fits the diner’s vibe. Overall, the food, the service, the atmosphere....everything was amazing. I can’t wait to come back. Five and Dime Diner is one of those places that just makes you feel good. 💕 Thanks everyone!”

“We recently celebrated a birthday here and had a memorable dining experience. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, making us feel at home. The room itself is well decorated and the ambient Bossa Nova sound track provided a romantic backdrop to an excellent meal. We had the scallops as an appetizer and the chicken and lamb as mains finishing off with the creme brûlée and the chocolate mousse. Delicious! Each course was a well presented combination of flavours to savour. We enjoyed each one to the last bite. We would certainly recommend Atelier for a superior dining experience.”

Friendly staff, good coffee, and convenient location for folks who just want to walk around and it will make for a nice regular spot for after we relocate!”

“I just checked out this new little brewery in Sidney for the first time, and happened to try the freshly tapped Strawberry Shortcake Sour, which honestly had the best and strongest strawberry flavour I’ve ever tasted in a beer! It was so good I had to take home a Crowler. With plenty of beer and cider options on tap, a selection of local snacks, board games, events, and the option to bring in takeout from elsewhere, this place is definitely worth a visit. It’s clear that they value fostering relationships with other local businesses, and are already making a positive impact on the Sidney community.”

“Delicious food prepared in Cheffy’s own kitchen, good selection of British food, very convenient when cooking isn’t an option, great variety, inexpensive (the fewer visits to the supermarket, the more the savings), the menu changes each week and friendly, helpful staff. Hint: Their delicious scones, with a different variety every week, are very popular and sell out quickly, so it’s a good idea to order them early in the week. 🥮”

“The food is great, no debating that fact, but your payment key pad defaulting to a 20% tip on a take out order with no clear way to bypass it without asking how to do it is reprehensible. There are a lot of elderly's in Sidney and this seems like a obvious attempt to gouge. Maybe you have addressed this since we were there but if not, be better.”

“First time eating here and it sure surprised me how great the interior of the pub is, given the unpretentious exterior. This is a great hidden gem of a pub!

The prices are good, the food is good, the atmosphere is great, the service is polite (if somewhat slow), they have games and draws...

Overall a really cool place to sit back and relax while having a pint!”

Fresh Tandoori Restaurant never disappoints! The food was rich in taste, perfectly seasoned, and served fresh. What impressed me the most was the excellent service—very friendly, respectful, and quick. The staff made sure everything was perfect.

“This place had been closed for dine in for a long time due to Covid and recently learned it was open again. My family has been coming here since the 80’s and it’s been pretty close to the same experience since then with the exception that the dining space is smaller. We had a medium sized special pizza and Josh’s favourite which is a NY steak with fettuccini Alfredo and garlic toast. The food was excellent as it always has been and the staff was very friendly. My opinion is that this is the best pizza on the peninsula”

“We hired Fresh Tandoori Indian Restaurant Royal Oak to do our event catering. They went above and beyond our expectations and the food was delicious the presentation of food was done very beautifully. I would highly recommend them for your next event big or small.”

“I have been frequenting this Subway for over 16 years. There is fairly low turnover which says a lot. The staff know me, which means I eat there a lot. I always get great service and the sub is exactly the way I like it. The new design of the store is nice, but that's not the reason I eat there. I go there because I know the person who is making my sub and that is more important than anything.”
