“I highly recommend Hunnybee! Wonderful breakfast and brunch options served in a cozy space with an informal and hip vibe. Vancouver’s best breakfast sandwiches and possibly the world’s best ricotta pancakes - they’re to die for. And in the evenings Hunnybee puts on taco and wood fired-pizza nights with a lively atmosphere. Small wonder that the place has a dedicated customer base.“

“Last visit:
I ordered this dish from the special menu, apparently a popular item. However I found the chicken stinky and old, even with the flavorful sauce I couldn’t finish the meal and left it half way.
Apparently the staff don’t have any authority or control over customer satisfaction or compensation offers, so they just said nothing is wrong with the food and expressed they are sorry. Not sure if I will try their food again.
First visit:
Lovely staff, nice and clean place, tasty dessert.
Will come back!“

“This place is so great. The staff are all super friendly, the coffee and baked goods are tasty (priced on the higher side, but then it's a small shop), and best of all the staff seems to be quite kind to Downtown Eastside folks—which is something that matters a lot to me (especially for businesses that choose to open here.)“

“Excellent cappuccino. A coffee shop, recommended by our hotel staff, that only serves coffee (espresso, cappuccino, latte, drip).“

“Some places are just special, and this little hole in the wall certainly is. The food was really good and so was the coffee. It seems like locals eat there, which is always a good sign. The proprietor knew we weren’t local and probably wouldn’t be back. Nevertheless she came by, asked how things were and said she hoped we’d be back. Interesting looking pastries. Wish we could have tried a bunch of them, but our sandwiches were too filling. There is always tomorrow.
In a sea of chains and donier shops, this place really stood out!“

“I went to this café today on fourth Avenue. The atmosphere was classy, the service was awesome. And I really like the vibe. I was going for a walk with my dog and every coffee shop had a horrendous lineup. I am glad that I stumbled across this café. !“

“One of the most unique cafes in the city! I had the chicken and prosciutto sandwich with one of their cookies. They were both delicious! The staff were great too! The cafe was busy but the workers still noticed when I needed a refill of my water. I can’t wait to try one of their drinks when I return!“

“I visited Coffee Date today with my sister and honestly loved it. The place is super cute and aesthetic, and the vibe is really cozy. The coffee was amazing and the food was really good too. The staff were so friendly and just really sweet, which made the whole experience even better. I’m definitely going back again, such a nice little spot.“

“Hark! Upon a fair and temperate eve, I didst happen upon a most wondrous house of victuals, wherein mine heart and belly alike found solace and delight. Verily, the food therein was a banquet fit for kings and courtiers; each dish did sing with flavour most divine, and the meats were tender as a lover’s whisper. The bread, warm and fragrant, didst break with ease, and the sweetmeats did charm the tongue as though kissed by angels.
The air about the place was gentle and pleasing, the lights soft and golden as candle-glow on yonder hearth. Music, neither too loud nor too meek, did float about like a midsummer breeze, setting the soul at ease. The folk that served us were full courteous, with smiles that did not seem feigned, but sprang forth from a place of true kindness and mirth.
Such joy did I find within those walls, that I dare say no better repast hath I taken in many a moon. Shouldst thou find thyself weary and in want of comfort, hie thee hence to this noble spot, and partake of their fare. Forsooth, thou shalt not be disappointed.
In faith,
A most contented guest

“A great local spot, slightly off the beaten path.
Coffee and teas are great. The food I have tried is great, too.
They have some great service staff, quick, polite, and warm.
I love the little touches around the small shop. Photos of dog visitors is a great reason to keep coming back. They have a human accessible jar of treats inside the door for you to grab for your pooch.
Lots of cute merch too!
Well worth the visit.“

“Friendly staff. Lots of food variety. The matcha latte is made from a tea bag not from powder so I felt a bit ripped off that I paid nearly $7 with alternate milk for a teabag. I hope they reconsider the price or switch to proper matcha powder.
Unlike other reviewers, I like that there is no wifi so it's always easy to get a table.“
“With impeccable attention to every last detail from the Japandi-inspired zen like interior to each of the carefully curated artisanal offerings, in a world of ubiquitous coffee shops SLO Coffee has created something refreshingly different.“

“Gigi Blin is a great neighbourhood cafe that adds to the charm of the Marpole community. Lots of locals, and so sweet to see people gathered to just chat and enjoy company. Love how there are also community postings and rotating local artwork. Please support them because they make the community what it is.
Coffee is great and prices are reasonable, I especially appreciate how the barista makes latte art 🥹🥹 such a nice added touch and not easy to do with oat milk! Makes my day every time ☀️☕️“

“I like coming here from time to time for their delicious home made cakes and good quality coffee. My favourite cake is rare sweet potato cake which is very light, not overly sweet or heavy but fluffy and light. Their coffee is also a good quality with nice depth and aroma that I just like. The owner there is a nice humble guy who gives a great service.“

“I went shopping in Gastown today, and I noticed this Paris-based Japanese style café. I had heard from a friend before that it was pretty good, so I decided to go in and check it out. The space is quite narrow but very long, with plenty of seating. The decor is simple, but I really liked the natural wood elements.
Their selection of pastries is limited, but they have a wider variety of coffee options. I ordered a cortado. The staff spoke gently and sweetly, and the coffee they made was beautifully presented. The prices are also very reasonable. After finding a seat, they brought the coffee over to me — the service was excellent.
Enjoying the lively music while sipping delicious coffee made for a really pleasant atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back here often.“

“We would have liked to go for brunch but it was super busy even on a Tuesday. So we got takeaway, I got a mochi donut and my dad got the brown butter mochi donut and a coffee. My mom got tater tots. I loved the texture of the mochi donut, nice and chewy however, the icing was too sweet for me. The flavor was good though. My dad also thought the top was too sweet but liked the donut. The tater tots were delicious, they were lightly seasoned and golden and crispy.
Since it was busy, it was quite loud in there. There are seating but it feels kinda crowded especially with all the customers and then the staff. Staff are nice. We just have to come back to try their brunch items when it is not busy!“

“Americano was so strong. Normally I am okay with the taste. Also I wasn’t finish the coffee yet and I was buying pastry, staff just got my coffee before I finish. I wanted to finish with my pastry. It wasn't to much so I didn't say but they should ask before take it. Super clean place and good silent patio.“

“Loved my visit to &life co. W 7th! They just launched a new lineup of bagels and waffles and everything we tried was amazing. The Dubai Chocolate Waffle came fresh and warm, topped with chocolate, ice cream, and pistachio — such a treat. The Matcha Redbean Cream Cheese Bagel was the highlight for me: super generous with the filling, and the mix of sweet and savory flavors worked perfectly.
Their drinks are also a must — from creamy lattes to refreshing fruit ades, everything looked beautiful and tasted just as good. The café has cozy vibes and friendly staff, definitely a spot I’d come back to for both desserts and drinks.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cute café with unique menu items in Vancouver!“

“I stumbled upon this café by chance and was instantly charmed. The coffee is exceptional - beautifully presented and crafted with care - and the service matches the quality in every way.
The space itself is bright and welcoming, bathed in natural light that makes you want to linger. There are even cozy sweaters for sale, which somehow just adds to the charm. The true hidden gem, though, the inner S courtyard - perfect if you're looking for a bit of quiet away from the buzz. And for those who enjoy a touch of sunshine, the wide windowsills nake an inviting spot to sip your drink and soak it
all in.“
