“As an absolute food crazed individual I have to say Chef Han's restaurant Kosoo + Raw Bar is one of my favourite restaurants, here and abroad, so far. The chef was away for a while, on his return we visited and it was brilliant as usual. I have never been disappointed only always impressed beyond my expectations. Welcome back Chef Han!“
“Ordered hot snow onion chicken for takeout, and it’s so nice. Crunchy outside, juicy inside and it blended well with the onions. Not too spicy for me and it’s a quick order since there weren’t not many people inside. The server, Kim Hoon, was friendly as well. Would recommend this place to everyone!“
“I don’t usually write reviews, but this is the best Korean BBQ I have ever had. I’ve lived in and tried Korean BBQ in places like Korea, Toronto, California, and NYC, but this was by far the best, especially for the price. The side dishes were delicious, the meat was high quality, and the service was amazing.Vancouver is very lucky to have Kook!“
“Had japchae, and sooda half classic, and all in all food was delish, so was ambiance and service. However they do not give you a refill on the kimchi which is the not so cool part of a Korean Restaurant. They charge 2.99 for extra side plate of kimchi. All in all good experience, will come back if I can't find another Korean Restaurant open in Gas Town.“
“Awesome local spot! Rare to have a place that serves both Korean and Japanese food and both are good! They are very friendly and make you feel at home.I just had the hamachi shabushabu tonight - lots of fresh hamachi with veggies cooked at the table in soup, then they bring rice and egg afterwards to make a rice soup to end the meal with. Delicious!!!“
“After going to Capilano Reservoir today, I saw a Korean fried chicken restaurant nearby and ordered two-point fried chicken. The original taste was the same as what I get in Korea. I was very surprised.Parking: Later I discovered that you can park on the roadside.Kid-friendliness: The store is spacious with lots of room to move around“
“The food was very tasteful and belly filling. Definitely would recommend ?? Servers were really nice as welledit: they make you give 5 star ratings for a discount. so i’m channing my review now. the food wasn’t the best but it also wasn’t bad. Defiantly not worth the 5 stars though“
“Sushi Howe is small but the people are extremely friendly and the sushi is exceptional. I live close and they always greet me by name and make the sushi quickly. Try the Salmon Combo C and Spicy Crunch Roll. Also the deep fried Burning Sun roll is another favourite.“
“I was happy with the food and the friendly staff. It’s always a bonus when you can choose your own style! Like for example half mozarella and pork or many other options, also toppings like sweet potato or ramen crisp. Top it with your favorite sauce and add some flakes like Parmesan for the final twist. Only sad thing is that you can’t sit in or in front of the place - so it’s mostly a to go snack.Thumbs up, I was full because it was quite a good portion of food.“
“The chicken is amazing BUT…. The sides are ridiculous. When I spend $80 on chicken for 2 of us, I’d expect my $4 side of coleslaw to be more than 3 bites. I will order their chicken again, but never a side dish. They really need to up their side dish game. I like veggies with my dinner but not for $14 for a small handful of kale, or $4 for 2-3 bites of coleslaw.Maybe a 4 star rating is too generous? I don’t know. The chicken is just really good. Pretty pricey, but good.“
“I feel compelled to share my extraordinary dining experience, thanks to the outstanding service provided by the server with glasses. Her meticulous attention to detail and thoughtful consideration made our meal truly exceptional. From the moment we began contemplating our food choices, she asked detailed questions about our preferred flavors, ingredients to avoid, and went the extra mile to recommend dishes tailored to our tastes. The result was a flawless dining experience where every dish resonated with our preferences. Her attentiveness went above and beyond the mere offerings listed on the menu. When my mother first requested hot water, the server not only swiftly fulfilled the order but also demonstrated a keen anticipation of potential discomfort that might arise from the water being too hot. To address this concern, she promptly brought the hot water infused with a single ice cube during the initial serving. Now, on the second request, recognizing that the water had slightly cooled, she refrained from adding ice directly but astutely placed an extra supply of ice on the side. This thoughtful gesture, ensuring flexibility to adjust the water's temperature according to our liking, was truly exceptional. The level of consideration displayed by the server in every detail deeply touched my mother and elevated our dining experience. Moreover, the server continually checked in on our table, ensuring the taste and portion sizes were satisfactory. She consistently refilled our glasses promptly, displaying a genuine concern for our comfort throughout the entire meal.I was so impressed by her service that I was inclined to tip her exclusively. However, she humbly shared that all tips were shared among the staff. Her response, though initially disheartening, was met with a perspective that left us in awe. She conveyed, "Sharing tips with my coworkers is not a sad thing at all. As I focus on providing attentive service to your table, other servers are likely attending to other customers that may have escaped my notice. Thanks to their collective efforts, I might be enjoying greater rewards than I could achieve alone. It's like a team effort that makes everything better."Her response showcased not only her professionalism but also her deep respect for her colleagues. It left us profoundly moved and emphasized the strong sense of teamwork within the restaurant. We left not only with satisfied palates but also with immense appreciation for the server with glasses and the entire team. Kudos to her for making our dining experience not just a meal, but a memorable and heartwarming event.“
“When I give 5 stars, it's something significant to me. Everything was perfect. The price and foods were on point.- Melon Soda - great- Banana milk - THE BEST- Hash Brown Whammy - honey and bacon... yummy!!- kbbq dog - delicious. There are many other dishes I would like to try as well.“
“Wonderful surprise, we showed up without a reservation and got lucky as a 1h table was available. That was fine by us and we got to discover this little gem. Food was amazing and I've been stalking them on Uber eats since ! Highly recommended, it's a delight! Booking seems to be recommended as well.“
“If you're a fan of delicious fried chicken, then you absolutely must check out this restaurant. I recently tried their boneless fried chicken, and it was incredibly delicious. The original flavor was crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside - it's one of the best fried chicken dishes I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“We odered sushi yesterday. This place consistently serves up amazing food. You're going to be surprised and delighted. Before finishing dinner, my parents, two kids and my husband already wanted to order again as we want to try other food on the menu“
“Service was great!! Everyone was super attentive. We just dropped in and did not have reservations. They got on the phone right away to check to see if one group was coming. They were able to seat us and with two kids. They were very attentive and explained the menu well and gave good recommendations. Food was tasty!! Even the kids liked it even though they said they don't like fancy foods. I think the only thing I wouldn't order again are the stone bowls. They were just ok. But all the other dishes we had were fancy but also tasted good. Ambiance was great and had fancy bathrooms!!“
“Sura is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in downtown. I hardly go to one of them because it’s usually not as good as real Korean foods, but Sura is really good. I usually bring international friends to introduce Korean cuision. I like this place.“
“I went hiking on the weekend and visited Namhansanseong Fortress to have lunch on the way down! Because it was the weekend, there was a bit of a wait, but after waiting for about 20 minutes, I was able to get in quickly after being guided by a friendly server. The special sundae soup and stir-fried pods that I always ordered... were delicious any time I ate them!! I thought there was a new menu item, so I ordered seafood pancake and it was crispy and delicious^^When I stop by Namhansanseong Fortress, I always feel happy because I feel like I'm in Korea and a meal welcomes me :)This is a restaurant you won’t regret coming to every day!!! Thank you to the staff who responded so kindly!!^^“
“I liked it, however it misses some vegetarian options. I had to stay with corn cheese and rice as there wasn't an option of vegetarian barbecue with veggies or something similar. I would say it is "tá bom" (it's good) but it's not "tá ótimo" (it's great)“
“partner and I went before going to Shen Yen.we both had the tasting menu (veg) since some of the fish items on the carnivore menu weren't our particular tastes.food was absolutely amazing. service was incredible. when we told the server we were running low on time they and the kitchen accommodated us. dishes were served with full descriptions. sake flight was served with both descriptions and background which I loved.would go here again for sure and high on my recommendation list to friends. made for a fantastic start to an awesome night“
“Excellent bibimbap and a good portion for the price. The place is a food court so not really nice to sit down. Better to take out unless you want the hot stone meals. I'll come back for the gimbap and japchae. The service is very attentive, they should just be careful adding sauce - some people can't have them because of gluten, not spicy levels!“
“Went around a month ago on a chilly day. We ordered sushi that was delicious and fresh as well as the tofu stew which was a generous serving and was absolutely delightful! Forgot to take pictures of the sushi but we also had karaage and takoyaki which we both loved! We will definitely come back again!!!“
“Stopped here for a quick meal and I got the terimayo to go! SO GOOD!!!! I also asked for extra green onions and they were very nice to add a bit more! This place was recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed! The atmosphere looked really cozy and welcoming, will definitely dine in next time with my friends!“
“Got the strawberry bingsu cause I was craving a sweet treat and it was so good! Fruit was fresh, the ice cream on top was good and the drizzles were nice. The bingsu was flaky, nicely icey, and while on the coarser side, was still very light and sweet! It's an alright/sizable portion size for the price (bc its a campus shop the price is higher). I definitely recommend trying, and will try the other flavors.“
“We were looking for a place late at night that serves high quality healthy tasty food at a fair price, and we were delighted with this. The handsome server was doing everything himself, serving, cooking, and everything else. The kalbee beef short rib and tacos were incredible. He even made a glass of hot milk for my friends daughter after she had a cry. We will be back.“
“Did not know what to eat in a Friday evening. Did a Google search for Korean food and this place stood out. Was not sure what to expect. When we got in all the servers are very friendly and kind. ordered the traditional dishes in a Korean restaurant and they were so good. Very authentic , possibly the best seafood pancake i ever had! Very good bibimbap. Food is a bit spicy so you should be aware of that but I do love my spice. Spicy seafood udon was fire. They have some craft beer on tap but next time I should get some Soju! If you like Korean food this place is one of the best in the north shore! Seafood dishes are awesome!“
“Cheese pork tonkatsu/cutlet was good and worth its value ($21). Cheese ball was different but delicious. Dolsot Bibimbap wasn’t worth the $20. Adding on tofu or beef would be $4 extra. There is a discount if you order for takeout on their site. Parking isn’t easy.“
“I made lunch reservation for 15 people a day before and they were so nice to accommodate all of us, half an hour before the lunch, I called them back to ask if it's possible to add 5 more people and they again said yes! Amazing service, best Korean pancake we have ever tasted!“
“yes yes yes! I’m in the neighborhood and I suggest this place to everyone who stops by. they make everything fresh so it takes a little bit of time, but they warn you ahead of time and recommend calling before! this means that all the food is perfectly cooked and delicious when you pick it up fresh. the fries are super good and the chicken is so juicy! every flavour i’ve had has slapped and I will continue to give rave reviews to friends!Kid-friendliness: Picky eater options“
“This unassuming little ramen shop is absolutely delightful. Good food, with some really interesting Korean-Japanese fusion items on the menu, and great prices! The girl who served me on both visits was so sweet and helpful. This is definitely my new go-to spot for a hot bowl of soup on a wet day.“
“Great chicken, pretty nice salad underneath it. Their marketing kinda sucks cause I had no idea what they sold - who knows what "disco cheetah Korean food" is without any photos, or description until you walk up - but I went and looked finally cause there was nothing else around I felt like, and I'm glad I did.Great quality chicken. Some of the better Korean fried chicken I've had.“
“I had a fantastic experience at Ma Dang Goul. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The food was outstanding. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the bibimbap. It was clear that the ingredients were fresh, and the chef's skill was evident in every bite. What truly set Ma Dang Goul apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was memorable.Overall, I highly recommend Ma Dang Goul to anyone looking for delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and top-notch service. I will definitely be returning!“
“Unassuming little place, minimum decor. We always get take out for this reason. Good chicken, fries and mu (radish) and quick service (always within their commitment of 20 minutes). We like the really spicy one. The chicken is quite salty though (perhaps it’s pre-soaked in a lot of salt water) - we are always so thirsty after our meal. But that minor downside doesn’t stop us from ordering here at least once a month.“
“Beef soup was so delicious!!! It also comes with noodles which is a bonus!!!! We already tried most of the spicy flavours so we decided to get the bbq (갈비) flavour, sweet, smoky & crispy!! it is definitely an A+! Never had a bad experience with them! Yujin was very friendly & welcoming, she made sure we are attended, amazing! They also do delivery!“
“Very warm greeting ? from both of the nice Korean waitresses as my Lady Friend and I entered Ssal Korean Bistro .I was very pleased with the layout of the menu and the choices available.I had Miso soup, Kim Chi & Bugogi and she had Soon Du Boo (Spicy Tofu Soup). They brang me frequent reloads of the Korean Pickles (Kim Chi) etc which was my favourite part so I really loved having refills of that. They were nice to check if we needed anything frequently. We had tea. It was awesome.I wonder which to try there next time?! ????? You have to be odd to be #1.If you Love something cherish it cause you don't know what you had until you've lost it....and you've lost me.Parking: Street ParkingKid-friendliness: Kids EVERYWHERE!!Wheelchair accessibility: Flat doorway...huh duuurrrrr“
