“All around excellent! The sable (a house favorite) is delectable! Soft, buttery melts in your mouth. The charred broccolini delicious! First Rate oyster selection, the Kumamoto's were particularly good and the house made cilantro mignonnette was a perfect complement! Best bar in Whistler! No other place has as good a top shelf. Period! Cocktails meticulously made. Staff is very attentive! Shout out to Jeremy our waiter, he does is profession proud! Probably the best restaurant at Whistler. Skip the overrated steak houses. They will only disappoint!“
“I cannot overstate how delightful our evening at Araxi Restaurant was. Right from the outset, our server Kim exuded professionalism and attentiveness. We had booked a table for four for an early dinner and were promptly served a bottle of Rosso Montalcino, an exquisite Italian red wine, just after placing our entrée orders. For starters, we indulged in the North Arm Farm Beet Salad, featuring Pemberton radicchio, honey pearls, farmhouse goat cheese, fennel emulsion, and toasted hazelnuts, alongside the Kale Caesar Salad and Hamachi Sashimi with spicy miso yuzu dressing, jalapeno pepper, and toasted sesame oil.Our main courses were equally impressive, with highlights including Birch Syrup Roasted Venison Loin, Yarrow Meadows Duck Breast, and Miso-Marinated BC Sablefish. To cap off our fantastic meal, we savored two delectable desserts: the Araxi Lemon Tart, boasting baked lemon curd in a sweet pastry crust, creme fraiche ice cream, (no picture) and preserved raspberry coulis, and the Black Forest Gateau, featuring dark and white chocolate mousse, flourless chocolate cake, brandied cherries, and chantilly cream. To accompany our desserts, my friend and I enjoyed a glass of Elephant Island Framboise, adding an extra layer of decadence to the experience.Without a doubt, Araxi Restaurant in Whistler deserves a spot on your dining itinerary. Every visit promises culinary excellence and impeccable service, leaving us consistently impressed and thoroughly satisfied. Don't forget to make reservations - place is very popular!Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant's entrance appears to be easily accessible“
“Food was solid - for a group of four guys we got the Tomahawk and the Seafood Tower with a couple of sides and that worked about right. Service was exceptional - Paul was very attentive, made it right when something went wrong, and was generally just a fun person to have as our server for the night.“
“We dine here every year on an annual ski trip. While each year is great, this year was exceptional. During the pandemic, many places got a bit lax in the experience but Hy's seized the opportunity and delivered an amazing experience. Our server Samantha (we still miss Victoria, but Samantha is great) was equal parts engaging and orchestrator. The dinner moved at pace without feeling at all rushed - courses were expertly timed and coordinated by Samantha. The managers assisted with wine delivery - and the whole team worked together to ensure no glass was left empty and every member of our party was tended to. Incredible team effort and an exceptional experience. Looking forward to our next visit!“
“The food was very very good. But honestly the service and the attitude of the team of the waiter and waitress was above and beyond. They were funny, personable and amazing. Such a great dinner for our family. They even made my anti-vegetable kid eat salad and asparagus, it was hilarious.“
“The waiters are friendly, smart, and hardworking. 5 stars because of the friendliness of the service staff. You can choose the food you like, freely and casually. Free after 5pmKid-friendliness: Children have a great time eating in a friendly and warm atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: You need to go to the second floor here, and there is no elevator.“
“Great service, great ambiance. Make a reservation by phone early to get a table. The lounge takes walk ins but fills on busy nights. It's busy but still really good. For those not from the area, The Keg is a well-known mid-higher-end steakhouse chain with consistently good food and locations.Braxton is the most attentive server me and my friends have ever had, while somehow not seeming stressed or worried. They accommodated our requests for keeping gluten separate on so many things and a manager came out to make sure it was all planned and done okay. Thanks so much for a great night out with great food! The french onion soup never disappoints for the rich umami. Can also recommend the mushrooms neptune. Check out the dessert menu too. I always ask for it at the same time as the regular menu so I can plan my meals out. Next time I will get less savoury and leave room for a Billy Miner Pie of ice cream cake style (from memory). Cola was refillable, which I appreciate.“
“Our experience at Rim Rock was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, our waitress exuded warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home. If you visit, do not miss out on their exquisite oysters; they are a true delight. Additionally, their lobster mashed potatoes stand out as one of the finest dishes in Whistler; it's a must-try. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and sets the perfect tone for a memorable evening, making it one of the highlights of our ski trip.“
