“After spending a day, searching for shells, we were excited to experience the seaside restaurants, and I’m glad we picked this one. The food was amazing. The staff were attentive. We chose to sit outside and it was warm when it did get a little chilly we had blankets from the staff. Serving portions were amazing for their happy hour menu, and the beer is local red truck, which went down perfectly with what we were eating overall 11 out of 10.“

“Let me say I travel quite a bit, eat at the best steak joints around the globe. My personal favorite used to be the met in seattle. Not anymore. Onyx in White Rock is the best steak I've had ...ever! best meal in years! Salad to perfection, prawns to perfection, steaks with their special searing process & mystery rub that isnt a rub, wine list is amazing, Aps are amazing, Service is amazing. Not a bad thing on the menu, In fact it's just the opposite. Everything is top notch. Be prepared to be blown away. I was... Man!! - not open on mon or tuesday make a rez. This place is crazy good !!“

“I have been here many times, it’s a local business and they do an absolutely fantastic job.

I can’t get over how good the service is, They really make you feel like they want you to have a great day.

As for suggestions, the club sandwich is probably the best sandwich you’re going to have this month, I promise you.

And they make it in front of you open kitchen style.

“We had some 'confusion' upon checking in for our reservation - a month ago reserved a booth in the lounge. Wasn't going happen and instead were seated at a high-top table. Welcome Andrea - manager in the bar area. She worked her magic and got us a booth! She turned an upsetting letdown experience for us, into a great evening celebrating a friend's birthday. Thank you Andrea!! We do love Cactus Club...check-in was frustrating, but Andrea saved the evening.“

Service staff were very good. Food was great as well. Portions sizes were pleasantly bigger than I had expected. Prices aren't the cheapest but portions size made up for that. After ordering, food was quick to be served. Again, the service staff were on top of everything. Really good experience on this occasion.“

“Service was awful, the server was quite busy which is understandable this time of year. She took our initial order for drinks and appys, appys arrived and drinks took forever to get there. Then took our food order. She never checked in on us, at this point we had to ask other hostesses for drinks and that took forever to arrive. Such a shame cause the food was great but the service lacked. Maybe they should have not given her too many tables she wasn't personable felt like she didn't want to be there“

“Nice spot all around. Just like any other chain restaurant, nice looking, young, attractive waitresses, basically good quality foods with good flavours, obviously effective quality control measures in place all along the way. Ice cold beer glasses, and proper sized pints! Need I say more?“

“hahaha had a fun experience coming back after a long time ! we loved our happy hour late at night thursday dec 4th,2025 ! Funny thing we’ve never been to this location before even tho it’s close by ! what a beautiful place dang cactus !! Busy during this holiday december month ! The host was super nice and chills ! Me and my bestie loved talking to our server anna super sweet and was lovely to talk to , she helped us out with a little surprise ! SHOUT out to dan ! haha thanks for giving our cheese cakes and paying for our drinks ur too kind ! Hope you enjoyed trying the eggnog cheese cake ! haha it was nice to meet both you and anna such a great people to get have small chitchat with!“

“They were running a bit behind on our starter order, but the manager came over to apologize and explained it had been sent to the wrong table. Then our tofu dragon bowl arrived with a piece of chicken in it, and since we’re all vegetarians, we flagged it right away.

Credit where it’s due, the server and manager handled it like pros. They owned the mistake instantly, removed the dish from the bill, offered to remake it (which we declined as we were full), and even knocked another $15 off.

“I dined with a friend celebrating my birthday. I love the menu as there are so many choices. While the menu was updated and no longer offers my favourite dish I ended up trying something new which was great. I enjoyed a free birthday dessert which was wonderful. Our server was amazing providing helpful information about menu items when I asked which helped me make my decision. I will return.“

“Ian the bartender is amazing. Popped in on Sunday with a friend. Came 2 days later and he remembered our drink order and garnished!! Very impressed and Browns owner should be happy to have staff like that. As a server and bartender myself, I’m super impressed!“

We made a booking on opentable so didnt have to wait, but saw lots of ppl entering and had to wait a bit.“

“Decided to go here with some friends for dinner. Over all experience was quite good. The service, the food, the ambiance were all very good. “Love the Breakfast Meals and The Place“

“Our office has ordered from this location a few times already and the pizza has always been great. The last time we ordered the Manager, Amrit, took our order over the phone and was very polite and well spoken. When we went to pick up our order there was a mix up with the food and we ended up with some pasta instead of pizza. When I called back, Amrit immediately took care of it, no questions asked and told us to keep the extras. He even gave us drinks and a gift card for the inconvenience. We really appreciated his professionalism and generosity.“

“We needed a large space for a family breakfast gathering. Amazing service, food & kid friendly. There was 22 of us. We will use this venue quarterly for our family try togethers. Can’t wait for the next one on the patio, in the spring“

“Weekly we take my 97 year old Mother out for lunch. It is always challenging to find something for her to eat since she has tooth sensitivity issues. She LOVES Swiss/Broccoli cheese soup but it's not always available leaving us with few options. BUT a month ago we were informed that the kitchen staff CAN and WOULD be willing to blend other meals up into a soup like consistency making it easier for her to enjoy meals! WOW!!! What a game changer! Many thanks to the staff who recognize us and set up our place setting with smaller cocktail napkins, hurrying with Mom's HOT tea, etc. It sure makes taking her out so much easier! Special thanks to the manager Guy? and servers Jasleen, Sophie, as well as hostess Danae! SUCH FABULOUS STAFF!!!!“

“Went with a group of friends on a Friday night with no reservation and was seated right away.

Our server Jayme was knowledgeable and very helpful. Made excellent recommendations and was very prompt and polite with her service.

The food was quite good. We shared a variety of appetizers, which were all fantastic, and our mains were hot and delicious. I had the Caramelized banana creme brulêe and I definitely didn't regret that decision.“

I've been here a few times more recently, and the waitress Olivia has been excellent. Deeply respect that at least this White Spot hires people regardless of identity—a reminder that the world can still be good. There's another male waiter too, I can't remember his name, but he has an energetic, outgoing personality—he's also great.

I recommend the Cheesy Bacon Perogies and the Monty Mushroom Burger. Milkshakes are also great, but a bit heavy if your appetite is small.“

“Some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Gluten free options are amazing and the people working are very friendly and made me feel welcomed. The gluten free pannokoek tastes so damn good! The syrup, the eggs, the sausages, everything was top tier and I wil definitely be coming back! Best breakfast chain in B.C!“

Everything was perfect from start to finish.
Coconut calamari was delicious.
Crispy shrimp bowl also a winner, delicious vegetables. Lots of leftovers for lunch the next day...just as delicious the second time.
Seafood risotto was amazing.
The maple créme brulee...in a word...divine.
Our waiter was very professional and attentive...couldn't have asked for a better evening.

We will always come here to celebrate our milestones: they never disappoint.“
